Refutation of the Israelites’ Suspicion About Moses (peace be upon him)

Hadith 61
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ يَغْتَسِلُونَ عُرَاةً، يَنْظُرُ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى سَوْأَةِ بَعْضٍ، وَكَانَ مُوسَى يَغْتَسِلُ وَحْدَهُ، فَقَالُوا : وَاللَّهِ مَا يَمْنَعُ مُوسَى أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ مَعَنَا إِلا أَنَّهُ آدَرُ، قَالَ : فَذَهَبَ مَرَّةً يَغْتَسِلُ فَوَضَعَ ثَوْبَهُ عَلَى حَجَرٍ، فَفَرَّ الْحَجَرُ بِثَوْبِهِ، قَالَ : فَجَمَحَ مُوسَى فِي أَثَرِهِ، يَقُولُ : ثَوْبِي حَجَرُ ثَوْبِي حَجَرُ، حَتَّى نَظَرَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ إِلَى سَوْأَةِ مُوسَى، فَقَالُوا : وَاللَّهِ مَا بِمُوسَى مِنْ بَأْسٍ، قَالَ : فَقَامَ الْحَجَرُ بَعْدَ مَا نُظِرَ إِلَيْهِ، فَأَخَذَ ثَوْبَهُ وَطَفِقَ بِالْحَجَرِ ضَرْبًا "، فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : وَاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ نَدْبٌ بِالْحَجَرِ سِتَّةٌ أَوْ سَبْعَةٌ مِنْ ضَرْبِ مُوسَى بِالْحَجَرِ
And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The Children of Israel used to bathe naked in such a way that they would see each other's private parts, but Musa (Moses), peace be upon him, used to bathe alone. Upon this, they said: By Allah! Nothing prevents Musa, peace be upon him, from bathing with us except that he is suffering from swelling of the testicles."
