Hadith Commentary:
➊
The stature of Prophet Adam (alayhis salam) at creation was sixty cubits.
The height of his progeny gradually began to decrease until the present situation came about. However, when his progeny enters Paradise, they will be restored to their original stature.
In one narration, it is stated:
Allah, the Exalted, created him in his form.
(Sahih al-Bukhari, al-Isti’dhan, Hadith: 6227)

This hadith refutes Darwin’s theory that man was first in the form of a monkey and gradually assumed human form. It also becomes clear that Adam (alayhis salam) was, at the time of creation, in this very form and appearance.
Since these ahadith mention the creation of Adam (alayhis salam) and his progeny, Imam al-Bukhari (rahimahullah) has mentioned them here.

Hadith Commentary:
1.
"Each of them will have two wives."
This means that there will be at least two, or that there will be two houris.
2.
The meaning of "morning and evening" in Paradise is perpetuity and continuity, just as it is said, "Your morning and evening is spent in this work," meaning you are always engaged in it in this manner.
3.
The glorification (tasbih) and declaration of Allah's oneness (tahleel) by the people of Paradise will occur in such a way that whenever they breathe, the sound of glorification and tahleel will spontaneously emanate from their tongues.
The reason for this is that their hearts will be filled with the love of Allah, due to which they will abundantly remember Allah.
That is, the people of Paradise will always continue to find pleasure and delight in the remembrance of Allah.
4.
From this hadith, it is understood that the number of women in Paradise will be greater.
In reality, after intercession (shafa‘ah), the number of women in Paradise will become greater.
Before intercession, their majority will be in Hell.

Hadith Commentary:
1.
Imam Muslim rahimahullah has narrated from Jabir radi Allahu anhu that the people of Paradise will eat and drink, but they will not pass urine or stool (bowel movement); rather, their food will be digested through a belch, and that belch will be like musk.
(Sahih Muslim, Al-Jannah wa Sifat Na‘imiha wa Ahliha, Hadith 7154(2835))
Further detail of this has been mentioned by Imam Ahmad rahimahullah in a narration from Zayd ibn Arqam radi Allahu anhu, that a person from the People of the Book said to the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam: “Abu al-Qasim! You say that the people of Paradise will eat and drink?” He (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) replied:
“Yes, a man will be given the strength of a hundred men in eating, drinking, and sexual intercourse.”
He said: “Whoever eats and drinks will need to relieve himself, whereas there will be no such impurities in Paradise.”
The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said:
“A fragrant sweat like musk will come out of their bodies.
That will be their excretion.”

In reality, the foods of this world are dense, which is why the people of this world need to relieve themselves, but in Paradise, the food and drink will be full of subtlety, so their excretion will also be in a subtle manner.

2.
In this hadith, there is mention of combs.
In Paradise, combing will be done to enhance one’s beauty, because the question of dirt or filth in the hair does not arise at all.

Kawkab al-durri refers to a very large, radiant star. Due to its brilliance, it has been described as a pearl. Among the stars, it stands out just as the pearl holds a lofty status among gemstones.

From this hadith, it is understood that there will be gradation among the people of Paradise. Some will be granted higher ranks, while others will be at lower levels than them.

The purpose of Imam al-Bukhari rahimahullah is to describe Paradise and the attributes of its inhabitants, which have been mentioned in this hadith.

la yataghawwatun:
They will not relieve themselves.

There will be no nasal discharge.

rashhuhum al-misk:
Their perspiration will be musk.

Majmarah,
a censer (incense burner).

aluwah:
Wood that is burned in the censer.

Benefits and Issues:
Every food in Paradise will be pure from dense matter, and will be of such delight and luminosity that no kind of waste will be produced in the stomach from it. Their beauty and elegance will be like the full moon on the fourteenth night. In their character, conduct, and morals, there will be uniformity just as in their appearance.

The people of Paradise will be granted beauty and elegance according to their deeds and ranks.

Believers who possess higher ranks will enter Paradise before others.

The meaning of “entering first” refers to entering before others after the noble Prophets (alayhimus-salam), or it refers to those individuals from the Ummah of Muhammad who will be the first to enter.

Urine, feces, etc., are the non-beneficial parts of worldly material food. In the foods of Paradise, there will be no such component. Therefore, it will be completely digested and become part of the body, and there will be no need for relieving oneself.

Fragrance is also a blessing from Allah. In this world, its various manifestations exist in the form of incense sticks. This blessing will also exist in Paradise. Accordingly, the best kind of fragrant wood will be available for this purpose, which will be burned in braziers.

In Arabic, the word “hur” is plural. “Hawra” refers to a woman whose eyes’ white part is extremely white and the black part is extremely black. Among the Arabs, this was considered a quality and a sign of beauty. In the hadith, it refers to those women whom Allah Ta’ala has created in Paradise for the believers, who are unparalleled in beauty of appearance and character.

The more companions are alike in morals, habits, likes, and dislikes, the stronger and deeper their friendship becomes. The people of Paradise, being like-minded and of similar intellect, will have great love for one another; there will be no disagreement or quarrel among them.

All the inhabitants of Paradise will be of perfect stature and will be handsome and beautiful.

➒
When Adam (alayhis-salam) was created, his height was, according to current estimation, sixty cubits (ninety feet). In Paradise, all people will be of this height.

Benefit:
In this hadith, two items used by the people of Paradise are mentioned:
➊ Their combs will be made of gold—Subhan Allah! And any man who wears gold in this world will not receive gold in Paradise, and likewise, any man who refrains from using gold utensils in this world will be given gold utensils in Paradise.
➋ In Paradise, Indian aloeswood (oud Hindi) will be of such excellent quality, and the people of Paradise will enjoy its fragrance. May Allah Ta’ala grant us Jannat al-Firdaws and make these blessings available to us in Paradise, Ameen.

Benefit:
From this hadith, it is understood that there will also be ranks in Paradise; the one with greater piety will receive a higher rank, and the one with lesser piety will receive a lower rank. Since young people will enter Paradise, Allah Ta'ala has arranged spouses for them.
It is also understood from this hadith that the least beauty and blessings of Paradise will surpass the greatest beauty and blessings of this world. In this world, we cannot look at the sun or the moon for long, but in Paradise, someone's beauty will surpass that of the sun, someone's will surpass that of the moon, and someone's will surpass that of the stars.
From this hadith, it is also understood that Allah will grant the eyes in Paradise far greater strength, so that they may gaze for long periods at beauty like that of the sun, moon, and stars.
