Allah Says: Come Towards Me and See
Hadith 81
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ : إِذَا تَلَقَّانِي عَبْدِي بِشِبْرٍ تَلَقَّيْتُهُ بِذِرَاعٍ، وَإِذَا تَلَقَّانِي بِذِرَاعٍ تَلَقَّيْتُهُ بِبَاعٍ، وَإِذَا تَلَقَّانِي بِبَاعٍ جِئْتُهُ، أَوْ قَالَ : أَتَيْتُهُ بِأَسْرَعَ "
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah the Exalted says: When My servant draws near to Me by a handspan, I draw near to him by a cubit (an arm's length); when he draws near to Me by a cubit, I draw near to him by two arm's lengths; and when My servant comes to Me walking, I come to him running (or he said: I come to him swiftly)."
