Charity is Due on Every Joint Daily
Hadith 71
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كُلُّ سُلامَى مِنَ النَّاسِ عَلَيْهِ صَدَقَةٌ، كُلَّ يَوْمٍ تَطْلُعُ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسُ، قَالَ : تَعْدِلُ بَيْنَ الاثْنَيْنِ صَدَقَةٌ، وَتُعِينُ الرَّجُلَ فِي دَابَّتِهِ وَتَحْمِلُهُ عَلَيْهَا، أَوْ تَرْفَعُ لَهُ عَلَيْهَا مَتَاعَهُ صَدَقَةٌ، وَالْكَلِمَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ صَدَقَةٌ، وَكُلُّ خُطْوَةٍ تَمْشِيهَا إِلَى الصَّلاةِ صَدَقَةٌ، وَتُمِيطُ الأَذَى عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ صَدَقَةٌ "
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Every day on which the sun rises, charity is due on every joint of a person." He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "To act justly between two people is charity, to help a man mount his riding animal, or to load his belongings onto it, is charity, and good words are charity." He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Every step taken towards prayer is also a charity, and removing something harmful from the road is also charity."
