Sahifah Hammam ibn Munabbih

And the Messenger (peace be upon him) said: "My example is like that of a person who has kindled a fire. Then, when the surroundings are illuminated, moths and insects that usually fall into the fire begin to fall into it, and that person tries to stop them, but they overpower him and keep falling into the fire." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "So my example and yours is just like this: I want to grab you by your waists and save you from the fire (and I keep calling out), 'Save yourselves from the fire, save yourselves from the fire,' but you overpower me and keep plunging into the fire."
