Hellfire is Seventy Times Hotter than Worldly Fire
Hadith 14
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَارُكُمْ هَذِهِ مَا يُوقِدُ بَنُو آدَمَ جُزْءٌ مِنْ سَبْعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنْ حَرِّ جَهَنَّمَ "، فَقَالُوا : وَاللَّهِ إِنْ كَانَتْ لَكَافِيَتَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، قَالَ : " فَإِنَّهَا فُضِّلَتْ عَلَيْهَا بِتِسْعَةٍ وَسِتِّينَ جُزْءًا، كُلُّهُنَّ مِثْلُ حَرِّهَا "
And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "This fire of yours which the children of Adam kindle is one part out of seventy parts of the fire of Hell." The people said: "By Allah, O Messenger of Allah! Even this (fire of ours in this world) was quite enough (for the punishment of sinners)." He, peace and blessings be upon him, replied: "The fire of Hell is sixty-nine degrees hotter than this (worldly fire), and each degree is like the heat of this (worldly fire)."
