Hadith 2530
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَرْمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُطَّلِبُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاق بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عُمَيْرٍ وَهُوَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ لَهُ : يَا عُمَيْرُ إِنِّي أُعِتِقُكَ عِتْقًا هَنِيئًا ، إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ :" أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ أَعْتَقَ غُلَامًا وَلَمْ يُسَمِّ مَالَهُ فَالْمَالُ لَهُ " فَأَخْبِرْنِي مَا مَالُكَ ؟
‘Umair, the freed slave of Abdullah ibn Mas‘ud (may Allah be pleased with him), says that Ibn Mas‘ud (may Allah be pleased with them both) said to him: Umair! I have set you free gladly. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: “Whoever frees a slave and does not mention his property, then the property belongs to the slave.” Tell me, what property do you have?
Hadith 2530M
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُطَّلِبُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاق بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ لِجَدِّي فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ .
