Hadith 122
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، وَيَعْقُوبُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ الْأَنْطَاكِيُّ ، لَفْظَهُ قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ حَرِيزِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ ، عَنْ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ ، فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَسْحَ رَأْسِهِ وَضَعَ كَفَّيْهِ عَلَى مُقَدَّمِ رَأْسِهِ فَأَمَرَّهُمَا حَتَّى بَلَغَ الْقَفَا ثُمَّ رَدَّهُمَا إِلَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي بَدَأَ مِنْهُ " ، قَالَ مَحْمُودٌ : قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي حَرِيزٌ .
Al-Miqdam bin Madikarib reported: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform ablution. When he reached the stage of wiping his head, he placed his palms on the front of the head. Then he moved them until he reached the nape. He then returned them to the place from where he had started.
Hadith 947
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الِاخْتِصَارِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد : يَعْنِي يَضَعُ يَدَهُ عَلَى خَاصِرَتِهِ .
Abu Hurairah said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade putting hands on the waist during prayer. Abu Dawud said; The word Ikhtisar means to put one’s hands on one’s waist.
Hadith 1091
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ الْأَنْطَاكِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا اسْتَوَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، قَالَ : " اجْلِسُوا " فَسَمِعَ ذَلِكَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ فَجَلَسَ عَلَى بَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَرَآهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " تَعَالَ يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد : هَذَا يُعْرَفُ مُرْسَلًا ، إِنَّمَا رَوَاهُ النَّاسُ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَمَخْلَدٌ هُوَ شَيْخٌ .
Jabir said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ seated himself on the pulpit on a Friday he said, Sit down. Ibn Masud heard that and sat down at the door of mosque, and when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw him, he said: Come here, Abdullah bin Masud. Abu Dawud said: This tradition is known as mursal (the successor reports directly from the Prophet, omitting then name of the Companion). The people narrated it from the Prophet ﷺ on the authority of Ata. Makhlad is his teacher.
Hadith 1693
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٌ ، وَيَعْقُوبُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ ، وَهَذَا حَدِيثُهُ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يُبْسَطَ عَلَيْهِ فِي رِزْقِهِ وَيُنْسَأَ فِي أَثَرِهِ فَلْيَصِلْ رَحِمَهُ " .
Anas reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Anyone who is pleased that his sustenance is expanded and his age extended should do kindness to his near relatives.
Hadith 4104
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ الْأَنْطَاكِيُّ ، وَمُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ دُرَيْكٍ : عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا : أَنَّ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ دَخَلَتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَيْهَا ثِيَابٌ رِقَاقٌ ، فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَقَالَ : " يَا أَسْمَاءُ إِنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ الْمَحِيضَ لَمْ تَصْلُحْ أَنْ يُرَى مِنْهَا إِلَّا هَذَا وَهَذَا ، وَأَشَارَ إِلَى وَجْهِهِ وَكَفَّيْهِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد : هَذَا مُرْسَلٌ خَالِدُ بْنُ دُرَيْكٍ لَمْ يُدْرِكْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا .
Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: Asma, daughter of Abu Bakr, entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wearing thin clothes. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ turned his attention from her. He said: O Asma, when a woman reaches the age of menstruation, it does not suit her that she displays her parts of body except this and this, and he pointed to her face and hands. Abu Dawud said: This is a mursal tradition (i. e. the narrator who transmitted it from Aishah is missing) Khalid bin Duraik did not see Aishah.
