Hadith 446
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْإِسْكَنْدَرَانِيُّ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " يَنْزِلُ اللَّهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ حِينَ يَمْضِي ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ الْأَوَّلُ فَيَقُولُ : أَنَا الْمَلِكُ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَدْعُونِي فَأَسْتَجِيبَ لَهُ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَسْأَلُنِي فَأُعْطِيَهُ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَسْتَغْفِرُنِي فَأَغْفِرَ لَهُ فَلَا يَزَالُ كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى يُضِيءَ الْفَجْرُ " قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ , وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ , وَرِفَاعَةَ الْجُهَنِيِّ , وَجُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ , وَابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ , وَأَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ , وَعُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ أَوْجُهٍ كَثِيرَةٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَرُوِيَ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " يَنْزِلُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ حِينَ يَبْقَى ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ الْآخِرُ " وَهُوَ أَصَحُّ الرِّوَايَاتِ .
´Abu Hurairah narrated that:` Allah's Messenger (S) said: "Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, descends to the earth's heaven every night when the first third of the night has passed. He says: "I am the Sovereign. Is there any who calls upon Me so that I may respond to him? Is there any who asks of Me that I may give him? Is there any who seeks forgiveness from Me so that I may forgive him?' He continues in that until the illumination of Al-Fajr."
Hadith 846
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، عَنْ الْمُطَّلِبِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " صَيْدُ الْبَرِّ لَكُمْ حَلَالٌ وَأَنْتُمْ حُرُمٌ مَا لَمْ تَصِيدُوهُ أَوْ يُصَدْ لَكُمْ " . قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، وَطَلْحَةَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : حَدِيثُ جَابِرٍ حَدِيثٌ مُفَسَّرٌ ، وَالْمُطَّلِبُ لَا نَعْرِفُ لَهُ سَمَاعًا مِنْ جَابِرٍ ، وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ لَا يَرَوْنَ بِأَكْلِ الصَّيْدِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ بَأْسًا إِذَا لَمْ يَصْطَدْهُ أَوْ لَمْ يُصْطَدْ مِنْ أَجْلِهِ ، قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ : هَذَا أَحْسَنُ حَدِيثٍ رُوِيَ فِي هَذَا الْبَاب وَأَفْسَرُ ، وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا ، وَهُوَ قَوْلُ أَحْمَدَ ، وَإِسْحَاق .
´Jabir bin Abdullah narrated that:` The Prophet said: "The land game is lawful for you while you are in Ihram as long as you did not hunt it - or - it was not hunted for you."
Hadith 1224
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْإِسْكَنْدَرَانِيُّ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْمُحَاقَلَةِ ، وَالْمُزَابَنَةِ " ، قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَاب ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، وَزَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، وَسَعْدٍ ، وَجَابِرٍ ، وَرَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ ، وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَالْمُحَاقَلَةُ بَيْعُ الزَّرْعِ بِالْحِنْطَةِ ، وَالْمُزَابَنَةُ بَيْعُ الثَّمَرِ عَلَى رُءُوسِ النَّخْلِ بِالتَّمْرِ ، وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَكْثَرِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ كَرِهُوا بَيْعَ الْمُحَاقَلَةِ وَالْمُزَابَنَةِ .
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade muhaqala and muzabana. © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- The hadith of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) is hasan sahih,
2- In this chapter, hadiths have also been narrated from Ibn Umar, Ibn Abbas, Zaid bin Thabit, Sa’d, Jabir, Rafi’ bin Khadij, and Abu Sa’id (may Allah be pleased with them),
3- Selling standing crops of ears in exchange for wheat is called muhaqala, and selling dates on the tree in exchange for plucked dates is called muzabana,
4- Most of the people of knowledge act upon this. They consider muhaqala and muzabana to be disliked.

Hadith 1521
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ , حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو , عَنْ الْمُطَّلِبِ , عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : " شَهِدْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْأَضْحَى بِالْمُصَلَّى , فَلَمَّا قَضَى خُطْبَتَهُ نَزَلَ عَنْ مِنْبَرِهِ , فَأُتِيَ بِكَبْشٍ فَذَبَحَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِهِ , وَقَالَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ , وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ ، هَذَا عَنِّي وَعَمَّنْ لَمْ يُضَحِّ مِنْ أُمَّتِي " , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ , وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَغَيْرِهِمْ , أَنْ يَقُولَ الرَّجُلُ إِذَا ذَبَحَ , بِسْمِ اللَّهِ , وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ , وَهُوَ قَوْلُ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ , وَالْمُطَّلِبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ , يُقَالُ : إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ جَابِرٍ .
´Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:` "I attended the Eid Al-Adha' with the Prophet (ﷺ) at the Musalla. When he finished his Khutbah, he descended from his Minbar and was given a male sheep. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) slaughtered it with his hand and said: 'Bismillah, Wa Allahu Akbar, this from me and whoever does not slaughter from my Ummah.'"
Hadith 1758
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْإِسْكَنْدَرَانِيُّ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَهَى عَنْ لِبْسَتَيْنِ : الصَّمَّاءِ ، وَأَنْ يَحْتَبِيَ الرَّجُلُ بِثَوْبِهِ لَيْسَ عَلَى فَرْجِهِ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَفِي الْبَاب ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، وَابْنِ عُمَرَ ، وَعَائِشَةَ ، وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، وَجَابِرٍ ، وَأَبِي أُمَامَةَ ، وَحَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
Narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade two types of clothing: "One is 'Samma’', and the other is that a person wraps himself in a garment in such a way that no part of the garment remains over his private parts." 1. © Imam Tirmidhi says:

3- In this chapter, there are also ahadith from Ali, Ibn Umar, Aisha, Abu Sa’id, Jabir, and Abu Umamah.

Hadith 3209
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ : مَا كُنَّا نَدْعُو زَيْدَ بْنَ حَارِثَةَ إِلَّا زَيْدَ ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَتَّى نَزَلَ الْقُرْآنُ : ادْعُوهُمْ لآبَائِهِمْ هُوَ أَقْسَطُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ سورة الأحزاب آية 5 " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Narrated Ibn 'Umar:` "We called Zaid bin Harithah nothing but 'Zaid bin Muhammad' until the Qur'an was revealed (saying): 'Call them by their fathers, that is more just according to Allah (33:5).'"
Hadith 3814
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ : " مَا كُنَّا نَدْعُو زَيْدَ بْنَ حَارِثَةَ إِلَّا زَيْدَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ : ادْعُوهُمْ لآبَائِهِمْ هُوَ أَقْسَطُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ سورة الأحزاب آية 5 " . قَالَ : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Narrated Ibn 'Umar:` "We called Zaid bin Harithah nothing but 'Zaid bin Muhammad' until the Qur'an was revealed (ordering): Call them by their fathers, that is more just according to Allah. (33:5)"
