Hadith 336
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا مُرَّةَ مَوْلَى أُمِّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أُمَّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، تَقُولُ : " ذَهَبْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ ، فَوَجَدْتُهُ يَغْتَسِلُ ، وَفَاطِمَةُ ابْنَتُهُ تَسْتُرُهُ بِثَوْبٍ " .
Umm Hani bin Abu Talib reported: I went to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on the day of the conquest (of Makkah) and found him take a bath, while his daughter Fatimah was holding a curtain around him.
Hadith 336
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحِ بْنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا مُرَّةَ مَوْلَى عَقِيلٍ حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ أُمَّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ حَدَّثَتْهُ ، " أَنَّهُ لَمَّا كَانَ عَامُ الْفَتْحِ ، أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ بِأَعْلَى مَكَّةَ ، قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى غُسْلِهِ ، فَسَتَرَتْ عَلَيْهِ فَاطِمَةُ ، ثُمَّ أَخَذَ ثَوْبَهُ فَالْتَحَفَ بِهِ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى ثَمَانَ رَكَعَاتٍ سُبْحَةَ الضُّحَى " .
Umm Hani bin Abu Talib reported: It was the day of the conquest (of Makkah) that she went to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he was staying at a higher part (of that city). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) got up for his bath. Fatimah held a curtain around him (in order to provide him privacy). He then put on his garments and wrapped himself with that and then offered eight rak'ahs of the forenoon prayer.
Hadith 336
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا مُرَّةَ مَوْلَى أُمِّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أُمَّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، تَقُولُ : ذَهَبْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ ، فَوَجَدْتُهُ يَغْتَسِلُ ، وَفَاطِمَةُ ابْنَتُهُ تَسْتُرُهُ بِثَوْبٍ ، قَالَتْ : فَسَلَّمْتُ ، فَقَالَ : مَنْ هَذِهِ ؟ قُلْتُ : أُمُّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، قَالَ : مَرْحَبًا بِأُمِّ هَانِئٍ ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ غُسْلِهِ ، " قَامَ فَصَلَّى ثَمَانِيَ رَكَعَاتٍ مُلْتَحِفًا فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ " ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ ، قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، زَعَمَ ابْنُ أُمِّي عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَاتِلٌ رَجُلًا أَجَرْتُهُ فُلَانُ ابْنُ هُبَيْرَةَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : قَدْ أَجَرْنَا مَنْ أَجَرْتِ يَا أُمَّ هَانِئٍ ، قَالَتْ أُمُّ هَانِئٍ : وَذَلِكَ ضُحًى .
Abu Murra, the freed slave of Umm Hani, daughter of Abu Talib, reported Umm Hani to be saying: I went to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on the day of the Conquest of Makkah and found him taking bath, and Fatimah, his daughter, had provided him privacy with the help of a cloth. I gave him salutation and he said: Who is she? I said: It is Umm Hani, daughter of Abu Talib. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Greeting for Umm Hani. When he had completed the bath, he stood up and observed eight rak'ahs wrapped up in one cloth. When he turned back (after the prayer), I said to him: Messenger of Allah, the son of my mother 'Ali bin Abu Talib is going to kill a person, Fulan bin Hubaira whom I have given protection. Upon this the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: We too have given protection whom you have given protection, O Umm Hani. Umm Hani said: It was the forenoon (prayer).
Hadith 336
وحَدَّثَنِي حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الشَّاعِرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَلَّى بْنُ أَسَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُرَّةَ مَوْلَى عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " صَلَّى فِي بَيْتِهَا عَامَ الْفَتْحِ ، ثَمَانِيَ رَكَعَاتٍ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ ، قَدْ خَالَفَ بَيْنَ طَرَفَيْهِ " .
Abu Murra narrated on the authority of Umm Hani that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on the day of the Conquest of Makkah observed in her house eight rak'ahs of prayer in one cloth, its opposite corners having been tied from the opposite sides.
Hadith 722
وحَدَّثَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُرَّةَ مَوْلَى أُمِّ هَانِئٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ ، قَالَ : " أَوْصَانِي حَبِيبِي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِثَلَاثٍ ، لَنْ أَدَعَهُنَّ مَا عِشْتُ ، بِصِيَامِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ، وَصَلَاةِ الضُّحَى ، وَبِأَنْ لَا أَنَامَ حَتَّى أُوتِرَ " .
Abu Murra, the freed slave of Umm Hani, narrated on the authority of Abu Darda': My Friend (ﷺ) instructed me in three (acts), and I would never abandon them as long as I live. (And these three things are): Three fasts during every month, the forenoon prayer, and that I should not sleep till I have observed the Witr prayer.
Hadith 2176
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ فِيمَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، أَنَّ أَبَا مُرَّةَ مَوْلَى عَقِيلِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَخْبَرَهُ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَمَا هُوَ جَالِسٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَالنَّاسُ مَعَهُ إِذْ أَقْبَلَ نَفَرٌ ثَلَاثَةٌ ، فَأَقْبَلَ اثْنَانِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَذَهَبَ وَاحِدٌ ، قَالَ : فَوَقَفَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَمَّا أَحَدُهُمَا فَرَأَى فُرْجَةً فِي الْحَلْقَةِ فَجَلَسَ فِيهَا ، وَأَمَّا الْآخَرُ فَجَلَسَ خَلْفَهُمْ ، وَأَمَّا الثَّالِثُ فَأَدْبَرَ ذَاهِبًا ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ عَنِ النَّفَرِ الثَّلَاثَةِ ، أَمَّا أَحَدُهُمْ فَأَوَى إِلَى اللَّهِ فَآوَاهُ اللَّهُ ، وَأَمَّا الْآخَرُ فَاسْتَحْيَا فَاسْتَحْيَا اللَّهُ مِنْهُ ، وَأَمَّا الْآخَرُ فَأَعْرَضَ فَأَعْرَضَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ " .
Abu Waqid al-Laith reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was sitting in the mosque along with some people when there came to him three persons; two of them stepped forward to the direction of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) , and one of them went away. The two stood by the side of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) , and one of them found a space in his circle and he sat in that; and the other one sat behind him and the third one went away. When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had finished his work, he said. Should I not inform you about these three persons? One of them sought refuge with Allah and Allah gave him refuge and the second one felt shy and Allah showed kindness to has shyness (and so he was accommodated in that meeting), and the last one reverted and Allah turned away His attention from him.
