Hadith 29
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : " صَحِبْتُ سَعْدَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ مِنْ الْمَدِينَةِ إِلَى مَكَّةَ ، فَمَا سَمِعْتُهُ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِحَدِيثٍ وَاحِدٍ " .
´It was narrated that Sa'ib bin Yazid said:` "I accompanied Sa'd bin Malik from Al-Madinah to Makkah and I did not hear him narrate a single Hadith from the Prophet (ﷺ)."
Hadith 130
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل ، وَإِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ، يَقُولُ : لَقَدْ جَمَعَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ أَبَوَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : " ارْمِ سَعْدُ فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي " .
´It was narrated that Sa'eed bin Musayyab said:` "I heard Sa'd bin Abu Waqqas say: 'The Messenger of Allah mentioned his parents together for me on the Day of Uhud. He said: 'Shoot, Sa'd! May my father and mother be sacrificed for you!'"
Hadith 160
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَبَايَةَ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ جِبْرِيلُ أَوْ مَلَكٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " مَا تَعُدُّونَ مَنْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا فِيكُمْ " ، قَالُوا : خِيَارَنَا ، قَالَ : " كَذَلِكَ هُمْ عِنْدَنَا خِيَارُ الْمَلَائِكَةِ " .
´Rafi' bin Khadij said:` "Jibril or an angel came to the Prophet and said: 'How do you regard those among you who were present at Badr?' He said: 'They are the best among us.' He said: 'We think the same (of the angels who were present at Badr), they are the best of the angels.'"
Hadith 322
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ خَلَّادٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَنْبَأَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَمَّهُ وَاسِعَ بْنَ حَبَّانَ ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " يَقُولُ أُنَاسٌ : إِذَا قَعَدْتَ لِلْغَائِطِ فَلَا تَسْتَقْبِلِ الْقِبْلَةَ ، وَلَقَدْ ظَهَرْتُ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ مِنَ الْأَيَّامِ عَلَى ظَهْرِ بَيْتِنَا ، " فَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَاعِدًا عَلَى لَبِنَتَيْنِ مُسْتَقْبِلَ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ " هَذَا حَدِيثُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ هَارُونَ .
´'Abdullah bin 'Umar said:` "People say: 'When you sit to relieve yourself, do not face the Qiblah.' But one day I climbed up onto the roof of our house, and I saw the Messenger of Allah sitting on two bricks (to relieve himself), facing the direction of Baitul-Maqdis (Jerusalem)." This is a Hadith narrated by Yazid bin Harun.
Hadith 492
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ بُشَيْرِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ، " أَنَّهُمْ خَرَجُوا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى خَيْبَرَ ، حَتَّى إِذَا كَانُوا بِالصَّهْبَاءِ " صَلَّى الْعَصْرَ ، ثُمَّ دَعَا بِأَطْعِمَةٍ ، فَلَمْ يُؤْتَ إِلَّا بِسَوِيقٍ فَأَكَلُوا وَشَرِبُوا ، ثُمَّ دَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَمَضْمَضَ فَاهُ ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى بِنَا الْمَغْرِبَ " .
´Suwaid bin Nu'man Ansari narrated that :` They went out with the Messenger of Allah to Khaibar. When they reached As-Sahba' (a place near Khaibar), he performed 'Asr (Afternoon prayer), then he called for food, but no food was brought except for Sawiq. So they ate that and drank, and then he called for water and rinsed his mouth, then he stood up and led us for Maghrib (Sunset) prayer."
Hadith 545
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ لِحَاجَتِهِ ، فَاتَّبَعَهُ الْمُغِيرَةُ بِإِدَاوَةٍ فِيهَا مَاءٌ ، حَتَّى فَرَغَ مِنْ حَاجَتِهِ ، فَتَوَضَّأَ ، وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ " .
´It was narrated from 'Urwah bin Mughirah bin Shu'bah from his father Mughirah bin Shu'bah, that:` The Messenger of Allah went out to relieve himself, and Mughirah followed him with a vessel of water. When he finished relieving himself, he performed ablution and wiped over his leather socks.
Hadith 834
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ ، أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَامِرِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ جَمِيعًا ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، أَنَّهُ صَلَّى مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعِشَاءَ الْآخِرَةَ ، قَالَ : فَسَمِعْتُهُ " يَقْرَأُ بِالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ " .
´It was narrated from Bara’ bin ‘Azib that he performed the ‘Isha’, the later, with the Prophet (ﷺ). He said:` “I heard him reciting ‘By the fig, and the olive’.”[Al-Tin (95)]
Hadith 1059
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " سَجَدَ فِي : إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ " ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ : هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، مَا سَمِعْتُ أَحَدًا يَذْكُرُهُ غَيْرَهُ .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) prostrated in “When the heaven is split asunder.” [84:1] Abu Bakr bin Abu Shaibah said:` "This Hadith was narrated from Yahya bin Sa'eed; I did not hear it from anyone but him."
Hadith 1207
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، وَابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ ، وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ كُلُّهُمْ لَهُمْ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ بُحَيْنَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَامَ فِي ثِنْتَيْنِ مِنَ الظُّهْرِ ، نَسِيَ الْجُلُوسَ حَتَّى إِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ يُسَلِّمَ ، سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
It was narrated from ‘Abdur-Rahman Al-A’raj that Ibn Buhainah told him that the Prophet (ﷺ) stood up in the second Rak’ah of Zuhr and forgot to sit. When he had finished his prayer, and before he said the Salam, he performed the two prostrations for forgetfulness (Sahw) and said the Salam.
Hadith 1259
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ خَوَّاتٍ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي صَلَاةِ الْخَوْفِ : قَالَ : " يَقُومُ الْإِمَامُ مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةِ ، وَتَقُومُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْهُمْ مَعَهُ ، وَطَائِفَةٌ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْعَدُوِّ وَوُجُوهُهُمْ إِلَى الصَّفِّ ، فَيَرْكَعُ بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً وَيَرْكَعُونَ لِأَنْفُسِهِمْ ، وَيَسْجُدُونَ لِأَنْفُسِهِمْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ فِي مَكَانِهِمْ ، ثُمَّ يَذْهَبُونَ إِلَى مُقَامِ أُولَئِكَ ، وَيَجِيءُ أُولَئِكَ فَيَرْكَعُ بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً وَيَسْجُدُ بِهِمْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ، فَهِيَ لَهُ ثِنْتَانِ وَلَهُمْ وَاحِدَةٌ ، ثُمَّ يَرْكَعُونَ رَكْعَةً وَيَسْجُدُونَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ " ، قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ : فَسَأَلْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانَ عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ ، فَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ خَوَّاتٍ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي يَحْيَى : اكْتُبْهُ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ ، وَلَسْتُ أَحْفَظُ الْحَدِيثَ ، وَلَكِنْ مِثْلُ حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى .
´It was narrated from Sahl bin Abu Hathmah that he said concerning the fear prayer:` “The Imam should stand facing the Qiblah, and a group of them should stand with him, and another group should stand in the direction of the enemy, facing towards the row (of worshippers). He should lead them in one Rak’ah, then they should bow and do two prostrations by themselves where they are. Then they should go and take the place of the others, and the others should come and pray one Rak’ah, bowing and prostrating with the leader. Then he will have prayed two Rak’ah and they will have prayed one; then they should perform another Rak’ah, bowing and performing two prostrations.”
Hadith 1306
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَيْلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صَلَّى الْعِيدَ بِالْمُصَلَّى مُسْتَتِرًا بِحَرْبَةٍ " .
It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed ‘Eid at the prayer place, using a small spear as a Sutrah.
Hadith 1641
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` ‘Whoever fasts Ramadan out of faith and the hope of reward will be forgiven his previous sins.”
Hadith 1669
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ ، تَقُولُ : " إِنْ كَانَ لَيَكُونُ عَلَيَّ الصِّيَامُ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَمَا أَقْضِيهِ حَتَّى يَجِيءَ شَعْبَانُ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Salamah said:` “I heard ‘Aishah say: ‘I used to owe fasts from the month of Ramadan, and I would not make them up for until Sha’ban came.’”
Hadith 1771
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَعْتَكِفَ صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ ، ثُمَّ دَخَلَ الْمَكَانَ الَّذِي يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَعْتَكِفَ فِيهِ ، فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَعْتَكِفَ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ ، فَأَمَرَ فَضُرِبَ لَهُ خِبَاءٌ ، فَأَمَرَتْ عَائِشَةُ بِخِبَاءٍ فَضُرِبَ لَهَا ، وَأَمَرَتْ حَفْصَةُ بِخِبَاءٍ فَضُرِبَ لَهَا ، فَلَمَّا رَأَتْ زَيْنَبُ خِبَاءَهُمَا ، أَمَرَتْ بِخِبَاءٍ فَضُرِبَ لَهَا ، فَلَمَّا رَأَى ذَلِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " آلْبِرَّ تُرِدْنَ ، فَلَمْ يَعْتَكِفْ رَمَضَانَ ، وَاعْتَكَفَ عَشْرًا مِنْ شَوَّالٍ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:` “When the Prophet (ﷺ) wanted to start I’tikaf, he would pray the Subh, then he would enter the place where he wanted to observe I’tikaf. He wanted to spend the last ten days of Ramadan in I’tikaf, so he ordered that a tent be set up for him.” Then ‘Aishah ordered that a tent be set up for her, and Hafash ordered that a tent be set up for her. When Zainab saw their two tents, she also ordered that a tent be set up for her. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saw that, he said: “It is righteousness that you seek?” Then he did not observe I’tikaf during Ramadan, and he observed I’tikaf during ten days of Shawwal.
Hadith 1873
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، أَنَّ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ يَزِيدَ ، وَمُجَمِّعَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّيْنِ ، أَخْبَرَاهُ : " أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْهُمْ يُدْعَى خِذَامًا أَنْكَحَ ابْنَةً لَهُ ، فَكَرِهَتْ نِكَاحَ أَبِيهَا ، فَأَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَتْ لَهُ ، فَرَدَّ عَلَيْهَا نِكَاحَ أَبِيهَا ، فَنَكَحَتْ أَبَا لُبَابَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْمُنْذِرِ ، وَذَكَرَ يَحْيَى أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ ثَيِّبًا " .
´Abdur Rahman bin Yazid Al-Ansari and Mujamma bin Yazid Al-Ansari said:` that a man among them who was called Khidam arranged a marriage for his daughter, and she did not like the marriage arranged by her father. She went to the Messenger of Allah and told him about that, and he annulled the marriage arranged by her father. Then she married Abu Lubabah bin Abdul-Mundhir.
Hadith 2084
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَنْبَأَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ زَيْنَبَ ابْنَةَ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ تُحَدِّثُ ، أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ ، وَأُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ ، تَذْكُرَانِ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَتْ : إِنَّ ابْنَةً لَهَا تُوُفِّيَ عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا ، فَاشْتَكَتْ عَيْنُهَا ، فَهِيَ تُرِيدُ أَنْ تَكْحَلَهَا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَدْ كَانَتْ إِحْدَاكُنَّ تَرْمِي بِالْبَعْرَةِ عِنْدَ رَأْسِ الْحَوْلِ ، وَإِنَّمَا هِيَ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا " .
´It was narrated from Humaid bin Nafi' that:` he heard Zainab the daughter of Umm Salamah narrating that she heard Umm Salamah and Umm Habibah mention that a woman came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said that her daughter's husband had died, and she was suffering from an eye disease, and she wanted to apply kohl to her eyes (as a remedy). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "One of you would throw a she-camel's dropping when a year had passed (since the death of her husband. Rather it is four months and ten (days)."
Hadith 2086
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ، أَنْ تُحِدَّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجٍ " .
´It was narrated from Hafsah the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ) that:` the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), said: "It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for any deceased person for more than three days, except for her husband."
Hadith 2134
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَحْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الرُّعَيْنِيِّ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَالِكٍ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّ أُخْتَهُ نَذَرَتْ أَنْ تَمْشِيَ حَافِيَةً غَيْرَ مُخْتَمِرَةٍ ، وَأَنَّهُ ذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " مُرْهَا فَلْتَرْكَبْ وَلْتَخْتَمِرْ وَلْتَصُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed Ar-Ru'aini that 'Abdullah bin Malik told him, that :` 'Uqbah bin 'Amir told him, that his sister vowed to walk, barefoot and bareheaded, and he mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) He said: "Order her to ride and to cover her head, and to fast for three days."
Hadith 2269
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرْخَصَ فِي بَيْعِ الْعَرِيَّةِ بِخَرْصِهَا تَمْرًا " ، قَالَ يَحْيَى الْعَرِيَّةُ : أَنْ يَشْتَرِيَ الرَّجُلُ ثَمَرَ النَّخَلَاتِ بِطَعَامِ أَهْلِهِ رُطَبًا بِخَرْصِهَا تَمْرًا .
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Umar that he said:` "Zaid bin Thabit told me that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) gave a concession regarding the sale of the estimated harvest of 'Araya return for dried dates." (Sahih) Yahya (one of the narrators) said: "The 'Araya is when a man purchases dates on the trees for food that his family has that is ripe, by estimating them (the dates)."
Hadith 2342
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ ، عَنْ لُؤْلُؤَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي صِرْمَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ ضَارَّ أَضَرَّ اللَّهُ بِهِ وَمَنْ شَاقَّ شَقَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Sirmah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Whoever harms others, Allah (SWT) will harm him; and whoever causes hardship to other Allah will cause hardship to him.”
Hadith 2358
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ جَمِيعًا ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ وَجَدَ مَتَاعَهُ بِعَيْنِهِ عِنْدَ رَجُلٍ قَدْ أَفْلَسَ فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهِ مِنْ غَيْرِهِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Whoever finds his exact property with a man who has become bankrupt, and then he has more right to it than anyone else.”
Hadith 2458
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ رَافِعَ بْنَ خَدِيجٍ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا نُكْرِي الْأَرْضَ عَلَى أَنَّ لَكَ مَا أَخْرَجَتْ هَذِهِ وَلِي مَا أَخْرَجَتْ هَذِهِ " فَنُهِينَا أَنْ نُكْرِيَهَا بِمَا أَخْرَجَتْ وَلَمْ نُنْهَ أَنْ نُكْرِيَ الْأَرْضَ بِالْوَرِقِ " .
´It was narrated that Hazalah bin Qais said:` “I asked Rafi' bin Khadij and he said: 'We used to lease out land on the basis that you would have what is produced by this piece of land, and I would have what is produced by this (other) piece of land, and we were forbidden to lease it out on the basis of crop-sharing but he did not forbid us to rent out land for silver.”
Hadith 2504
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ الْعَلَاءِ الْأَيْلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ مَوْلَى الْمُنْبَعِثِ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، فَلَقِيتُ رَبِيعَةَ فَسَأَلْتُهُ ، فَقَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : سُئِلَ عَنْ ضَالَّةِ الْإِبِلِ فَغَضِبَ وَاحْمَرَّتْ وَجْنَتَاهُ فَقَالَ : " مَا لَكَ وَلَهَا ؟ مَعَهَا الْحِذَاءُ وَالسِّقَاءُ ، تَرِدُ الْمَاءَ وَتَأْكُلُ الشَّجَرَ ، حَتَّى يَلْقَاهَا رَبُّهَا " وَسُئِلَ عَنْ ضَالَّةِ الْغَنَمِ ، فَقَالَ : " خُذْهَا ، فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ لَكَ أَوْ لِأَخِيكَ أَوْ لِلذِّئْبِ " وَسُئِلَ عَنِ اللُّقَطَةِ ، فَقَالَ : " اعْرِفْ عِفَاصَهَا وَوِكَاءَهَا وَعَرِّفْهَا سَنَةً فَإِنِ اعْتُرِفَتْ وَإِلَّا فَاخْلِطْهَا بِمَالِكَ " .
´It was narrated from Zaid bin Khalid that the Prophet (ﷺ) was asked about a lost camel. :` He turned red, and he said: “What does it have to do with you? It has its feet and its water supply, it can go and drink water and eat from the trees until its owner finds it.” And he was asked about lost sheep, and he said: “Take it, for it will be for you or for your brother or for the wolf.” And he was asked about lost property and he said: “Remember the features of its leather bag and strap, and announce it for one year, then if someone claims it, describing it to you with those features (give it to him), otherwise incorporate it into your own wealth.”
Hadith 2533
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ ، أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ ، أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ أَشْرَفَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَسَمِعَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَذْكُرُونَ الْقَتْلَ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّهُمْ لَيَتَوَاعَدُونِي بِالْقَتْلِ فَلِمَ يَقْتُلُونِي وَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَا يَحِلُّ دَمُ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ إِلَّا فِي إِحْدَى ثَلَاثٍ : رَجُلٌ زَنَى وَهُوَ مُحْصَنٌ فَرُجِمَ ، أَوْ رَجُلٌ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ ، أَوْ رَجُلٌ ارْتَدَّ بَعْدَ إِسْلَامِهِ " ، فَوَاللَّهِ مَا زَنَيْتُ فِي جَاهِلِيَّةٍ وَلَا فِي إِسْلَامٍ وَلَا قَتَلْتُ نَفْسًا مُسْلِمَةً وَلَا ارْتَدَدْتُ مُنْذُ أَسْلَمْتُ .
´It was narrated from Abu Umamah bin Sahl bin Hunaif that:` `Uthman bin 'Affan looked at them when they spoke of killing. He said: “Are they kill threatening to kill me? Why would they kill me? I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: “It is not lawful to shed the blood of a Muslim except in one of three (cases): a man who commits adultery when he is a married person, then he should be stoned; a man who kills a soul not in retaliation for murder; and a man who apostatizes after becoming Muslim.' By Allah (SWT), I never committed adultery either during Ignorance days nor in Islam, and I have never killed a Muslim soul, and I have not apostatized since I became Muslim.”
Hadith 2593
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ وَاسِعِ بْنِ حَبَّانَ ، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا قَطْعَ فِي ثَمَرٍ وَلَا كَثَرٍ " .
´It was narrated from Rafi bin Khadij that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “The hand is not to be cut off for (stealing) produce or the spadix of palm trees.”
Hadith 2646
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْكِنْدِيُّ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا قَتَادَةَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي مُدْلِجٍ قَتَلَ ابْنَهُ ، فَأَخَذَ مِنْهُ عُمَرُ مِائَةً مِنَ الْإِبِلِ ثَلَاثِينَ حِقَّةً وَثَلَاثِينَ جَذَعَةً وَأَرْبَعِينَ خَلِفَةً ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ أَخِي الْمَقْتُولِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَيْسَ لِقَاتِلٍ مِيرَاثٌ " .
´It was narrated from 'Amr bin Shu'aib that :` Abu Qatadah, a man from Banu Mudlij, killed his son, and 'Umar took one hundred camels from him, thirty Hiqqah, thirty Jadha'ah and forty Khalifah. Then he said: “Where is the brother of slain? I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: 'The killer does not inherit.'”
Hadith 2744
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " كُفْرٌ بِامْرِئٍ ادِّعَاءُ نَسَبٍ لَا يَعْرِفُهُ أَوْ جَحْدُهُ وَإِنْ دَقَّ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Amr bin Shu’aib, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “It is disbelief for a man to attribute himself to someone other than his father knowingly, or to deny his connection to his father, even subtly.”*
Hadith 2751
حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، وَالْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ ، قَالَا : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَرِثُ الصَّبِيُّ حَتَّى يَسْتَهِلَّ صَارِخًا " ، قَالَ : وَاسْتِهْلَالُهُ أَنْ يَبْكِيَ وَيَصِيحَ أَوْ يَعْطِسَ .
´It was narrated from Jabir bin ‘Abdullah and Miswar bin Makhrumah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “No child inherits until he raises his voice or cries.”
Hadith 2776
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ حَبَّانَ هُوَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ خَالَتِهِ أُمِّ حَرَامٍ بِنْتِ مِلْحَانَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : نَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا قَرِيبًا مِنِّي ثُمَّ اسْتَيْقَظَ يَبْتَسِمُ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا أَضْحَكَكَ ؟ قَالَ : " نَاسٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي عُرِضُوا عَلَيَّ يَرْكَبُونَ ظَهْرَ هَذَا الْبَحْرِ كَالْمُلُوكِ عَلَى الْأَسِرَّةِ " ، قَالَتْ : فَادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ ، قَالَ : فَدَعَا لَهَا ، ثُمَّ نَامَ الثَّانِيَةَ فَفَعَلَ مِثْلَهَا ، ثُمَّ قَالَتْ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهَا ، فَأَجَابَهَا مِثْلَ جَوَابِهِ الْأَوَّلِ ، قَالَتْ : فَادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ ، قَالَ : " أَنْتِ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ " ، قَالَ : فَخَرَجَتْ مَعَ زَوْجِهَا عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ غَازِيَةً أَوَّلَ مَا رَكِبَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ الْبَحْرَ مَعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفُوا مِنْ غَزَاتِهِمْ قَافِلِينَ فَنَزَلُوا الشَّامَ ، فَقُرِّبَتْ إِلَيْهَا دَابَّةٌ لِتَرْكَبَ ، فَصَرَعَتْهَا فَمَاتَتْ .
´It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that his maternal aunt Umm Harim bint Milhan said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) slept near me one day, then he woke up smiling. I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, what has made you smile?’ He said: ‘People of my nation who were shown to me (in my dream) riding across this sea like kings on thrones.’ I said: ‘Supplicate to Allah to make me one of them.’” So he prayed for her. Then he slept again, and did likewise, and she said the same as she said before, and he replied in the same manner. She said: “Pray to Allah to make me one of them,” and he said: “You will be one of the first ones.” He said: “Then she went out with her husband, ‘Ubadah bin Samit, as a fighter, the first time that the Muslims crossed the sea with Mu’awiyah bin Abu Sufyan. On their way back, after they had finished fighting, they stopped in Sham. An animal was brought near for her to ride it, but it threw her off, and she died.”
Hadith 2837
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ ، أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ كَثِيرِ بْنِ أَفْلَحَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَفَّلَهُ سَلَبَ قَتِيلٍ قَتَلَهُ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ " .
It was narrated from Abu Muhammad, the freed slave of Abu Qatadah (from Abu Qatadah) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) awarded him the spoils of a man whom he killed on the Day of Hunain.
Hadith 2848
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، قَالَ : تُوُفِّيَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَشْجَعَ بِخَيْبَرَ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ ، فَأَنْكَرَ النَّاسُ ذَلِكَ ، وَتَغَيَّرَتْ لَهُ وُجُوهُهُمْ ، فَلَمَّا رَأَى ذَلِكَ قَالَ : إِنَّ صَاحِبَكُمْ غَلَّ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ " ، قَالَ زَيْدٌ : فَالْتَمَسُوا فِي مَتَاعِهِ ، فَإِذَا خَرَزَاتٌ مِنْ خَرَزِ يَهُودَ مَا تُسَاوِي دِرْهَمَيْنِ .
´It was narrated that Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani said:` “A man from (the tribe of) Ashja’ died in Khaibar, and the Prophet (ﷺ) said: ‘Offer the funeral prayer for your companion.’ The people found that strange.* When he saw that, he said: ‘Your companion stole from the spoils of war (when fighting) in the cause of Allah.’”

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، وَعُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، وَابْنُ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، قَالَ : " بَايَعْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ فِي الْعُسْرِ وَالْيُسْرِ ، وَالْمَنْشَطِ وَالْمَكْرَهِ ، وَالْأَثَرَةِ عَلَيْنَا ، وَأَنْ لَا نُنَازِعَ الْأَمْرَ أَهْلَهُ ، وَأَنْ نَقُولَ الْحَقَّ حَيْثُمَا كُنَّا ، لَا نَخَافُ فِي اللَّهِ لَوْمَةَ لَائِمٍ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Ubadah bin Samit said:` “We gave our pledge to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), pledging to listen and obey in times of hardship and times of ease, willingly or reluctantly, and when others are shown preference over us, and that we would not dispute the order of those in charge, that we would speak the truth wherever we are, and that we would not fear the blame of anyone when acting or speaking for the sake of Allah.”
Hadith 2912
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلَالٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ : " أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ حَاجًّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَهُ أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ عُمَيْسٍ ، فَوَلَدَتْ بِالشَّجَرَةِ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، فَأَتَى أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرَهُ ، فَأَمَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَنْ يَأْمُرَهَا أَنْ تَغْتَسِلَ ، ثُمَّ تُهِلَّ بِالْحَجِّ ، وَتَصْنَعَ مَا يَصْنَعُ النَّاسُ ، إِلَّا أَنَّهَا لَا تَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ " .
It was narrated from Abu Bakr that he went out for Hajj with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and Asma’ bint ‘Umais was with him. She gave birth, at Shajarah, to Muhammad bin Abu Bakr. Abu Bakr came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and told him about that, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) told him to tell her to take a bath, then begin the Talbiyah for Hajj, and to do everything that the people did, apart from circumambulating the House (Tawaf).
Hadith 2981
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِخَمْسٍ بَقِينَ مِنْ ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ لَا نُرَى إِلَّا الْحَجَّ ، حَتَّى إِذَا قَدِمْنَا وَدَنَوْنَا ، أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ أَنْ يَحِلَّ ، فَحَلَّ النَّاسُ كُلُّهُمْ إِلَّا مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ ، دُخِلَ عَلَيْنَا بِلَحْمِ بَقَرٍ ، فَقِيلَ : ذَبَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ ، وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ أَزْوَاجِهِ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:` “We went out with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) when there were five nights left of Dhul-Qa’dah, intending only to perform Hajj. When we came close, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ordered that whoever did not have a sacrificial animal, then he should exit the Ihram. So all the people exited Ihram, except those who had the sacrificial animal. When the Day of Sacrifice i.e., the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah) came, some beef was brought to us, and it was said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has offered a sacrifice on behalf of his wives.’”
Hadith 3020
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْخَطْمِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : " صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَغْرِبَ وَالْعِشَاءَ ، فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ بِالْمُزْدَلِفَةِ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin Yazid Al-Khatmi that he heard Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari say:` “I prayed Maghrib and ‘Isha’ with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) during the Farewell Pilgrimage, at Muzdalifah.”
Hadith 3092
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَعْطَاهُ حِمَارَ وَحْشٍ ، وَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُفَرِّقَهُ فِي الرِّفَاقِ ، وَهُمْ مُحْرِمُونَ " .
It was narrated from Talhah bin ‘Ubaidullah that the Prophet (ﷺ) gave him some wild donkey meat, and told him to distribute it among his Companions, who were in Ihram.
Hadith 3153
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ ، عَنْ عُوَيْمِرِ بْنِ أَشْقَرَ " أَنَّهُ ذَبَحَ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ ، فَذَكَرَهُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : أَعِدْ أُضْحِيَّتَكَ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Uwaimir bin Ashqar that he slaughtered before the prayer, and he mentioned that to the Prophet (ﷺ) who said:` “Repeat your sacrifice.”
Hadith 3211
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُمَيْرٍ عِيسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّحَّاسُ ، وَعِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ الرَّمْلِيُّ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا ضَمْرَةُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيِّ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " كُلْ مَا رَدَّتْ عَلَيْكَ قَوْسُكَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Tha’labah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “Eat what your bow brings you.”
Hadith 3673
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ , وَعَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ , أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ جَمِيعًا , عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ , عَنْ عَمْرَةَ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " مَا زَالَ جِبْرِيلُ يُوصِينِي بِالْجَارِ , حَتَّى ظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ سَيُوَرِّثُهُ " .
´Aisha narrated that the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said:` "Jibra'il kept enjoining good treatment of neighbours untol I thought that he would make neigbours heirs."
Hadith 3909
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ , حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ , عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ , عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " الرُّؤْيَا مِنَ اللَّهِ , وَالْحُلْمُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ , فَإِذَا رَأَى أَحَدُكُمْ شَيْئًا يَكْرَهُهُ , فَلْيَبْصُقْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ ثَلَاثًا , وَلْيَسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ ثَلَاثًا , وَلْيَتَحَوَّلْ عَنْ جَنْبِهِ الَّذِي كَانَ عَلَيْهِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Qatadah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “(Good) dreams come from Allah and (bad) dreams come from Satan, so if anyone of you sees something that he dislikes, let him spit dryly to his left three times, and seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan three times, and turn over onto his other side.”
