Hadith 2086
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يُونُسَ الْقُشَيْرِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّكُمْ تُحْشَرُونَ حُفَاةً عُرَاةً " , قُلْتُ : الرِّجَالُ وَالنِّسَاءُ يَنْظُرُ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ الْأَمْرَ أَشَدُّ مِنْ أَنْ يُهِمَّهُمْ ذَلِكَ " .
´It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Prophet said:` "You will be gathered (one the Day of Resurrection) barefoot and naked." I said: "Men and women looking at one another?" he said: "The matter will be too difficult for people to pay attention to that."
Hadith 2088
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ جُمَيْعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الطُّفَيْلِ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ الصَّادِقَ الْمَصْدُوقَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , حَدَّثَنِي : " أَنَّ النَّاسَ يُحْشَرُونَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَفْوَاجٍ : فَوْجٌ رَاكِبِينَ طَاعِمِينَ كَاسِينَ ، وَفَوْجٌ تَسْحَبُهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ عَلَى وُجُوهِهِمْ وَتَحْشُرُهُمُ النَّارُ ، وَفَوْجٌ يَمْشُونَ وَيَسْعَوْنَ يُلْقِي اللَّهُ الْآفَةَ عَلَى الظَّهْرِ فَلَا يَبْقَى حَتَّى إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَتَكُونُ لَهُ الْحَدِيقَةُ يُعْطِيهَا بِذَاتِ الْقَتَبِ لَا يَقْدِرُ عَلَيْهَا " .
´It was narrated that Abu Dharr said; "The truthful one whom people believe told me:` 'The people will be gathered in three groups: A group who will be riding, well fed and well clothed; a group whom the angels will drag on their faces and whom the fire will drive; and a group who will be walking with difficulty. Allah will send a disease to kill all the riding beasts and none will remain, until a man would give a garden for a she-camel but he will not be able to have it.
Hadith 2111
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا الْمُهَلَّبُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبَةَ . ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ الْمُهَلَّبِ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَسَنُ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ صُمْتُ رَمَضَانَ ، وَلَا قُمْتُهُ كُلَّهُ " ، وَلَا أَدْرِي كَرِهَ التَّزْكِيَةَ ، أَوْ قَالَ : لَا بُدَّ مِنْ غَفْلَةٍ وَرَقْدَةٍ اللَّفْظُ لِعُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ .
´It was narrated from abu Bakrah that the Prophet said; 'None of you should say:` 'I fasted Ramadan' or 'I prayed Qiyam throughout the whole month."' I do not know whether he dislike self-praise or he said: "Inevitably there will be heedlessness and sleep." (Da 'if)
Hadith 2124
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا تَصُومُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْهُ ، وَلَا تُفْطِرُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْهُ ، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاقْدِرُوا لَهُ " .
´It was narrated form Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet said:` "D not fast until you see it , and do not stop fasting until you see it, and if it is obscured from you (too cloudy), then work it out."
Hadith 2151
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " تَسَحَّرُوا ، فَإِنَّ فِي السَّحُورِ بَرَكَةً " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet said:` "Take Sahur, for in Sahur there is blessing."
Hadith 2172
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا التَّيْمِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ بِلَالًا يُؤَذِّنُ بِلَيْلٍ لِيُنَبِّهَ نَائِمَكُمْ ، وَيُرْجِعَ قَائِمَكُمْ وَلَيْسَ الْفَجْرُ أَنْ يَقُولَ هَكَذَا ، وَأَشَارَ بِكَفِّهِ ، وَلَكِنِ الْفَجْرُ أَنْ يَقُولَ هَكَذَا ، وَأَشَارَ بِالسَّبَّابَتَيْنِ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn Mas'ud that the Prophet said:` "Bilal calls the Adhan at night to awaken those of you who are asleep, and so that those who are praying Qiyam cam return. Dawn is not when the light appears like this" - and he gestured with his hand - "rather dawn is when it appears like this: - and he gestured with his two forefingers. '
Hadith 2264
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، وَخَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ , عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَسَنٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى رَجُلًا قَدْ ظُلِّلَ عَلَيْهِ فِي السَّفَرِ , فَقَالَ : " لَيْسَ مِنَ الْبِرِّ الصِّيَامُ فِي السَّفَرِ " .
´It was narrated from Jabir bin Abdullah that:` the Messenger of Allah saw a man who was being shaded on a journey. He said: "It is not righteousness to fast when traveling."
Hadith 2321
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " إِنْ كَانَ لَيَكُونُ عَلَيَّ الصِّيَامُ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ ، فَمَا أَقْضِيهِ حَتَّى يَجِيءَ شَعْبَانُ " .
´It was narrated that 'Aishah said:` "I would own fasts from Ramadan and I would not make them up until Shaban came."
Hadith 2323
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ ، أَنَّ ّرَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ : " أَذِّنْ يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ مَنْ كَانَ أَكَلَ فَلْيُتِمَّ بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِهِ ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ أَكَلَ فَلْيَصُمْ " .
´It was narrated that Yazid said:` "Salamah told us that the Messenger of Allah said to a man: 'Announce the day of Ashura. Whoever has eaten let him not eat for the rest of the day, and whoever has not eaten, let him fast."'
Hadith 2328
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا طَلْحَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ بِنْتُ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَأْتِيهَا وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ ، فَقَالَ : " أَصْبَحَ عِنْدَكُمْ شَيْءٌ تُطْعِمِينِيهِ ؟ " فَنَقُولُ : لَا ، فَيَقُولُ : " إِنِّي صَائِمٌ " ، ثُمَّ جَاءَهَا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ ، فَقَالَتْ : أُهْدِيَتْ لَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ ، فَقَالَ : " مَا هِيَ ؟ " ، قَالَتْ : حَيْسٌ ، قَالَ : " قَدْ أَصْبَحْتُ صَائِمًا فَأَكَلَ " .
´It was narrated from 'Aishah, the mother of the Believers, that the Prophet used to come to her when he was fasting and say:` "Do you have anything this morning that you can give me to eat?" we would say no, and he would say: "I am fasting." Then after that he came and she said: "I have been given a gift." He said: "What is it?" she said: "Hais." He said: "I started the day fasting," but then he ate.
Hadith 2446
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ جَدِّي ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " فِي كُلِّ إِبِلٍ سَائِمَةٍ فِي كُلِّ أَرْبَعِينَ ابْنَةُ لَبُونٍ ، لَا يُفَرَّقُ إِبِلٌ عَنْ حِسَابِهَا ، مَنْ أَعْطَاهَا مُؤْتَجِرًا فَلَهُ أَجْرُهَا ، وَمَنْ أَبَى فَإِنَّا آخِذُوهَا وَشَطْرَ إِبِلِهِ عَزْمَةٌ مِنْ عَزَمَاتِ رَبِّنَا ، لَا يَحِلُّ لِآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ " .
´Bahz bin Hakim said:` "My father told, me that my grandfather said: 'I heard the Prophet say: With regard to grazing camels, for every forty a Bint Labbun (a two-year old female camel). No differentiation is to be made between camels when calculating them. Whoever gives it seeking reward, he will be rewarded for it. Whoever refuses, we will take it, and half of his camels, as one of the rights of our Lord. And it is not permissible for the family of Muhammad to have any of them."'
Hadith 2462
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ جَرِيرٌ : أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَاسٌ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ فَقَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ! يَأْتِينَا نَاسٌ مِنْ مُصَدِّقِيكَ يَظْلِمُونَ قَالَ : " أَرْضُوا مُصَدِّقِيكُمْ " , قَالُوا : وَإِنْ ظَلَمَ , قَالَ : " أَرْضُوا مُصَدِّقِيكُمْ " ، ثُمَّ قَالُوا : وَإِنْ ظَلَمَ , قَالَ : " أَرْضُوا مُصَدِّقِيكُمْ " , قَالَ جَرِيرٌ : فَمَا صَدَرَ عَنِّي مُصَدِّقٌ مُنْذُ سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا وَهُوَ رَاضٍ .
´It was narrated that 'Abdur-Rahman bin Hilal said:` "Jarir said: 'Some Bedouin people came to the Prephet and said: O Messenger of Allah, some of your Zakah collectors come to us and they are unfair. He said: Keep your Zakah collectors happy. They said: Even if they are unfair? He said: Keep your Zakah collectors happy. Then they said: Even if they are unfair. He said: Keep your Zakah collectors happy. Jarir said: No Zakah collector left me, since I heard this from the Messenger of Allah but he was pleased with me."[1]
Hadith 2472
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ خُثَيْمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَيْسَ عَلَى الْمَرْءِ فِي فَرَسِهِ وَلَا فِي مَمْلُوكِهِ صَدَقَةٌ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet said:` "A person does not have to pay Sadaqah on his horse or his slave."
Hadith 2493
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ خُبَيْبَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ يُحَدِّثُ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَسْعُودِ بْنِ نِيَارٍ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ ، قَالَ : أَتَانَا وَنَحْنُ فِي السُّوقِ ، فَقَالَ : قال رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا خَرَصْتُمْ فَخُذُوا وَدَعُوا الثُّلُثَ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَأْخُذُوا أَوْ تَدَعُوا الثُّلُثَ شَكَّ شُعْبَةُ فَدَعُوا الرُّبُعَ " .
´It was narrated from 'Abdur-Rahman bin Mas'ud bin Niyar:` "Sahl bin Abi Hathmah came to us when we were in the market and said: "The Messenger of Allah said: When you have estimated, take two-thirds (of the portion you have estimated as Zakah) and leave one-third, and if you do not take (two-thirds) or leave one-third. (One of the reporters) Shu 'bah doubted - leave one quarter."
Hadith 2495
أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي صَالِحُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرِيبٍ ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ الْخَضْرَمِيِّ ، عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَبِيَدِهِ عَصًا ، وَقَدْ عَلَّقَ رَجُلٌ قِنْوَ حَشَفٍ ، فَجَعَلَ يَطْعَنُ فِي ذَلِكَ الْقِنْوِ , فَقَالَ : " لَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّ هَذِهِ الصَّدَقَةِ تَصَدَّقَ بِأَطْيَبَ مِنْ هَذَا ، إِنَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الصَّدَقَةِ يَأْكُلُ حَشَفًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
´It was narrated that 'Awf bin Malik said:` "The Messenger of Allah came out with a stick in his hand, and a man had hung up a bunch of dry and bad dates. He started hitting that bunch of dates and said: 'I wish that the one who gave this Sadaqah had given something better than this, for the one who gave these dry, bad dates will eat dry, bad dates on the Day of Resurrection."'
Hadith 2519
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عِيَاضٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ , قَالَ : " كُنَّا نُخْرِجُ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ ، أَوْ تَمْرٍ ، أَوْ زَبِيبٍ ، أَوْ أَقِطٍ " ، فَلَمْ نَزَلْ كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى كَانَ فِي عَهْدِ مُعَاوِيَةَ , قَالَ : مَا أَرَى مُدَّيْنِ مِنْ سَمْرَاءِ الشَّامِ ، إِلَّا تَعْدِلُ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ .
´It was narrated that Abu Sa' eed Al-Khudri said:` "At the time of the Messenger of Allah, we used to give a Sa' of barley, or dates, or raisins, or cottage cheese, and we continued to do so until the time of Mu'awiyah, when he said: 'I think that two Mudds of wheat from Ash-Sham are equivalent to a Sa' of barley."'
Hadith 2536
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَصَدَّقُوا " ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ! عِنْدِي دِينَارٌ , قَالَ : " تَصَدَّقْ بِهِ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ " , قَالَ : عِنْدِي آخَرُ , قَالَ : " تَصَدَّقْ بِهِ عَلَى زَوْجَتِكَ " , قَالَ : عِنْدِي آخَرُ , قَالَ : " تَصَدَّقْ بِهِ عَلَى وَلَدِكَ " , قَالَ : عِنْدِي آخَرُ , قَالَ : " تَصَدَّقْ بِهِ عَلَى خَادِمِكَ " , قَالَ : عِنْدِي آخَرُ , قَالَ : " أَنْتَ أَبْصَرُ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Give charity.' A man said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I have a Dinar.' He said: 'Spend it on yourself.' He said: 'I have another.' He said: 'Spend it on your wife.' He said: 'I have another.' He said: 'Spend it on your son.' He said: 'I have another.' He said: 'Spend it on your servant.' He said: 'I have another.' He said: 'You know best (what to do with it)."'
Hadith 2537
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ عِيَاضٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ ، فَقَالَ : " صَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ " ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ الْجُمُعَةَ الثَّانِيَةَ ، وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ ، فَقَالَ : " صَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ " ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ الْجُمُعَةَ الثَّالِثَةَ ، فَقَالَ : " صَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " تَصَدَّقُوا " فَتَصَدَّقُوا ، فَأَعْطَاهُ ثَوْبَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " تَصَدَّقُوا " فَطَرَحَ أَحَدَ ثَوْبَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلَمْ تَرَوْا إِلَى هَذَا أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ بِهَيْئَةٍ بَذَّةٍ ، فَرَجَوْتُ أَنْ تَفْطِنُوا لَهُ فَتَتَصَدَّقُوا عَلَيْهِ ، فَلَمْ تَفْعَلُوا ، فَقُلْتُ تَصَدَّقُوا فَتَصَدَّقْتُمْ ، فَأَعْطَيْتُهُ ثَوْبَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ قُلْتُ : تَصَدَّقُوا فَطَرَحَ أَحَدَ ثَوْبَيْهِ ، خُذْ ثَوْبَكَ وَانْتَهَرَهُ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed that:` a man entered the Msjid on a Friday when the Messenger of Allah was delivering the Khutbah, and he said: "Pray two Rak'ahs." Then he came on the following Friday, when the Prophet was delivering the Khutbah and he said: "Pray two Rak'ahs." Then he came on the third Friday, when the Prophet was delivering Khutbah and he said: "Pray two Rak'ahs." Then he said: "Give in charity." So they gave in charity, and he gave him (that man) two garments. Then he said: "Give in charity" and (that man) threw one of his two garments. The Messenger of Allah said: "Have you not seen this man? He entered the Masjid in scruffy clothes and I hoped that you would notice him, and give charity to him, but you did not do that, So I said, 'Give in charity.' You gave in charity, and I gave him two garments, then I said; 'Give in charity' and he threw one of his two garments. Take your garment." And he rebuked him.
Hadith 2544
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُوسَى بْنَ طَلْحَةَ ، أَنَّ حَكِيمَ بْنَ حِزَامٍ حَدَّثَهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَفْضَلُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا كَانَ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى ، وَالْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى ، وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ " .
´Hakim bin Hizam said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: "The best kind of charity is that which is given when you are rich, and the upper hand is better than the lower hand, and start with those for whom you are responsible."'
Hadith 2557
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بُرْدَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ , عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " اشْفَعُوا تُشَفَّعُوا وَيَقْضِي اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّهِ مَا شَاءَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Musa that the Prophet said:` "Intercede and your intercession may be accepted, and Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, decrees on the lips of His Prophet whatsoever He will."
Hadith 2576
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ثَلَاثَةٌ لَا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ : الشَّيْخُ الزَّانِي ، وَالْعَائِلُ الْمَزْهُوُّ ، وَالْإِمَامُ الْكَذَّابُ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: "There are three to whom Allah, it Mighty and Sublime, with not speak on the Day of Resurrection: An old man who commits adultery, a poor man who is arrogant, and an Imam who tells lies."'
Hadith 2591
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ يَضْمَنْ لِي وَاحِدَةً وَلَهُ الْجَنَّةُ " , قَالَ يَحْيَى : هَاهُنَا كَلِمَةٌ مَعْنَاهَا " أَنْ لَا يَسْأَلَ النَّاسَ شَيْئًا " .
´It was narrated that Thawban said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever can promise me one thing. Paradise will be his." (One of the narrators) Yahya said: "Here a statement which means: That he will not ask the people for anything."
Hadith 2599
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَدِيِّ بْنِ الْخِيَارِ ، أَنَّ رَجُلَيْنِ حَدَّثَاهُ ، أَنَّهُمَا أَتَيَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْأَلَانِهِ مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ ، فَقَلَّبَ فِيهِمَا الْبَصَرَ ، وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ : بَصَرَهُ فَرَآهُمَا جَلْدَيْنِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنْ شِئْتُمَا ، وَلَا حَظَّ فِيهَا لِغَنِيٍّ ، وَلَا لِقَوِيٍّ مُكْتَسِبٍ " .
´'Ubaidullah bin 'Adiyy bin Al-Khiyar narrated that:` two men told him, that they came to the Messenger of Allah asking him for charity. He looked from one to the other and he saw that they were strong. The Messenger of Allah said: "If you want, I will give you, but no rich man or one who is strong and able to earn has a share of it."
Hadith 2613
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْتَعْمَلَ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي مَخْزُومٍ عَلَى الصَّدَقَةِ ، فَأَرَادَ أَبُو رَافِعٍ أَنْ يَتْبَعَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ الصَّدَقَةَ لَا تَحِلُّ لَنَا ، وَإِنَّ مَوْلَى الْقَوْمِ مِنْهُمْ " .
´It was narrated from Ihn Abi Rafi, from his father, that:` the Messenger of Allah appointed a man from Banu Makhzum to collect Sadaqah. Abu Rafi wanted to go with him, but the Messenger of Allah said: "The Sadaqah is not permissible for us, and the freed slave of a people is one of them."
Hadith 2646
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً رَفَعَتْ صَبِيًّا لَهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ " أَلِهَذَا حَجٌّ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، وَلَكِ أَجْرٌ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that:` a woman helf up a child of hers to the Messenger of Allah and said: "O Messenger of Allah, is there Hajj for this one?" He said: "Yes, and you will be rewarded. (Sahih) "
Hadith 2669
أَخْبَرَنَا نُوحُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ الْقَوْمَسِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءٌ ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : لَيْتَنِي أَرَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَهُوَ يُنْزَلُ عَلَيْهِ ، فَبَيْنَا نَحْنُ بِالْجِعِرَّانَةِ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قُبَّةٍ ، فَأَتَاهُ الْوَحْيُ ، فَأَشَارَ إِلَيَّ عُمَرُ أَنْ تَعَالَ ، فَأَدْخَلْتُ رَأْسِي الْقُبَّةَ ، فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ قَدْ أَحْرَمَ فِي جُبَّةٍ بِعُمْرَةٍ مُتَضَمِّخٌ بِطِيبٍ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا تَقُولُ فِي رَجُلٍ قَدْ أَحْرَمَ فِي جُبَّةٍ إِذْ أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ الْوَحْيُ فَجَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَغِطُّ لِذَلِكَ فَسُرِّيَ عَنْهُ ، فَقَالَ : " أَيْنَ الرَّجُلُ الَّذِي سَأَلَنِي آنِفًا ؟ " فَأُتِيَ بِالرَّجُلِ ، فَقَالَ : " أَمَّا الْجُبَّةُ فَاخْلَعْهَا ، وَأَمَّا الطِّيبُ فَاغْسِلْهُ ، ثُمَّ أَحْدِثْ إِحْرَامًا " , قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : " ثُمَّ أَحْدِثْ إِحْرَامًا " مَا أَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا قَالَهُ غَيْرَ نُوحِ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ وَلَا أَحْسِبُهُ مَحْفُوظًا وَاللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى أَعْلَمُ .
´It was narrated from Safwan bin Umayyah, from his father that he said:` "I wished that I could see the Messenger of Allah when Revelation was coming down to him. While we were in Al-Jirranah and the Prophet was in a tent, Revelation was coming down to him and 'Umar gestured to me to come. So I put my head into the tent. A man had come to him who had entered Ihram wearing a said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what do you say concerning a man who entered Ihram wearing a Jubbah?'Then (because of this question) the Revelation came. The Prophet started to breath deeply, and when it was over he said: 'Where is the man who asked me just now?' The man was brought to him, and he saidA: 'As for the Jubbah, take it off, and as for the perfume, wash it off, then enter Ihram.'''(Sahih) Chatper 30. The Prohibiton Of Wearing A Shirt In Ihram
Hadith 2671
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا نَلْبَسُ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ إِذَا أَحْرَمْنَا ؟ قَالَ : " لَا تَلْبَسُوا الْقَمِيصَ , وَقَالَ عَمْرٌو مَرَّةً أُخْرَى : الْقُمُصَ وَلَا الْعَمَائِمَ ، وَلَا السَّرَاوِيلَاتِ ، وَلَا الْخُفَّيْنِ ، إِلَّا أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ لِأَحَدِكُمْ نَعْلَانِ فَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ ، وَلَا ثَوْبًا مَسَّهُ وَرْسٌ وَلَا زَعْفَرَانٌ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that a man said:` "O Messenger of Allah, what clothes should we wear when we enter Ihram?" He said: "Do not wear a shirt (or shirts), or 'Imamahs, or pants, or Khuffs unless someone Cannot find sandals, in which case he should cut them (the Khuffs) so that they come beneath the ankles or any garment that has been touched by (dyed with ) wars or saffron.
Hadith 2683
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ أُخْتِهِ حَفْصَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قُلْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ حَلُّوا وَلَمْ تَحِلَّ مِنْ عُمْرَتِكَ ؟ قَالَ : " إِنِّي لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي ، وَقَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي ، فَلَا أُحِلُّ حَتَّى أُحِلَّ مِنَ الْحَجِّ " .
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Umar that his sister, Hafsah, said; "I said to the Prophet;'O Messenger of Allah! Why is it that the people have exited Ihram and you have not exited Ihram following your 'Umrah?'He said:` 'I have matted my hair and garlanded my Hadi (sacrificial animal), so I will not exit Ihram until I exit Ihram after Hajj.'''
Hadith 2713
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، قَالَ : أَتَيْنَا جَابِرًا فَسَأَلْنَاهُ عَنْ حَجَّةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَدَّثَنَا , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَوِ اسْتَقْبَلْتُ مِنْ أَمْرِي مَا اسْتَدْبَرْتُ ، لَمْ أَسُقْ الْهَدْيَ وَجَعَلْتُهَا عُمْرَةً فَمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ فَلْيُحْلِلْ ، وَلْيَجْعَلْهَا عُمْرَةً " , وَقَدِمَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ مِنْ الْيَمَنِ بِهَدْيٍ وَسَاقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ الْمَدِينَةِ هَدْيًا وَإِذَا فَاطِمَةُ قَدْ لَبِسَتْ ثِيَابًا صَبِيغًا وَاكْتَحَلَتْ ، قَالَ : فَانْطَلَقْتُ مُحَرِّشًا أَسْتَفْتِي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ فَاطِمَةَ لَبِسَتْ ثِيَابًا صَبِيغًا وَاكْتَحَلَتْ وَقَالَتْ أَمَرَنِي بِهِ أَبِي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " صَدَقَتْ ، صَدَقَتْ ، صَدَقَتْ ، أَنَا أَمَرْتُهَا " .
´It was narrated that Ja'far bin Muhammad said; " My father said:` 'We came to Jabir and asked him about the Hajj of the Prophet. He told us that the Messenger of Allah said: "Had I known when I set out what I know now, I would have brought the Jadi (sacrificial animal ) with me and I would not have made it 'Umrah. Whoever does not have a Jadi with him, let him exit Ihram and make it 'Umrah," 'Ali may Allah be ;eased with him, came from Yemen with a Hadi, and the Messenger of Allah brought a Hadi from Al-Madinah, Fatimah had put on a dyed garment and applied kohl to her eyes, and he ('Ali) said: "I went to the Prophet to complain about that and find out whether she could do that, I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, Fatima had put on a dyed garment and applied kohl to her eyes, and she said, the Messenger of Allah told me to do that. 'He said: 'She is telling the truth, she is telling the truth, I told her to do that
Hadith 2719
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل الطَّبَرَانِيُّ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنِي مَنْصُورٌ ، وَسُلَيْمَانُ , عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا نَرَى إِلَّا أَنَّهُ الْحَجُّ " .
´It was narrated that 'Aishah said:` "We set out with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) thinking that it was for nothing other than Hajj."
Hadith 2734
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ حَرْمَلَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ , يَقُولُ : حَجَّ عَلِيٌّ , وَعُثْمَانُ فَلَمَّا كُنَّا بِبَعْضِ الطَّرِيقِ " نَهَى عُثْمَانُ عَنِ التَّمَتُّعِ " , فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ : " إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُ قَدِ ارْتَحَلَ فَارْتَحِلُوا فَلَبَّى عَلِيٌّ وَأَصْحَابُهُ بِالْعُمْرَةِ ، فَلَمْ يَنْهَهُمْ عُثْمَانُ " , فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ : " أَلَمْ أُخْبَرْ أَنَّكَ تَنْهَى عَنِ التَّمَتُّعِ ؟ " قَالَ : " بَلَى " قَالَ لَهُ عَلِيٌّ : " أَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَمَتَّعَ ؟ " قَالَ : " بَلَى " .
´Sa'ced bin Al-Musayyab said:` "Ali and 'Uthman performed Hajj, and when we were partway there, 'Uthman forbade Tamattu, 'Ali said 'When you see him setting out, set out with him (saying the Talbiyah for 'Umrah)So 'Ali and his companions recited the Talbiyah for 'Umrah, and 'Uthman did not forbid them. 'Ali said: 'Have I not been told that you did.' Ali said to him: 'Did you not hear that the Messenger of Allah did Tamattu? He said: 'Of course

أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، قَال : أَتَيْنَا جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَسَأَلْنَاهُ عَنْ حَجَّةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ فَحَدَّثَنَا , " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَكَثَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ تِسْعَ حِجَجٍ ، ثُمَّ أُذِّنَ فِي النَّاسِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَاجِّ هَذَا الْعَامِ فَنَزَلَ الْمَدِينَةَ بَشَرٌ كَثِيرٌ ، كُلُّهُمْ يَلْتَمِسُ أَنْ يَأْتَمَّ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَيَفْعَلُ مَا يَفْعَلُ ، فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِخَمْسٍ بَقِينَ مِنْ ذِي الْقِعْدَةِ ، وَخَرَجْنَا مَعَهُ ، قَالَ جَابِرٌ : وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ أَظْهُرِنَا عَلَيْهِ يَنْزِلُ الْقُرْآنُ وَهُوَ يَعْرِفُ تَأْوِيلَهُ وَمَا عَمِلَ بِهِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ عَمِلْنَا فَخَرَجْنَا لَا نَنْوِي إِلَّا الْحَجَّ " .
´Ja`far bin Muhammad said:` "My father told me: 'We came to Jabir bin `Abdullah and asked him about the Hajj of the Prophet (ﷺ). He told us: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stayed in al-Madinah for nine years of Hajj, then it was announced to the people that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was going to perform Hajj this year. Many people came to al-Madinah, all of them hoping to learn from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and to do as he did. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) set out when there were five days left of Dhul-Qa`dah, and we set out with him,: Jabir said; "And the Messenger of Allah was among us; the Qur'an was being revealed to him, and he knew what it meant. Whatever he did based on it (the Qur'an), we did, and we set out with no intention other than Hajj.
Hadith 2744
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : أَتَيْنَا جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَسَأَلْنَاهُ عَنْ حَجَّةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ فَحَدَّثَنَا , أَنَّ عَلِيًّا قَدِمَ مِنْ الْيَمَنِ بِهَدْيٍ وَسَاقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ الْمَدِينَةِ هَدْيًا ، قَالَ لِعَلِيٍّ : بِمَا أَهْلَلْتَ ؟ قَالَ : قُلْتُ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُهِلُّ بِمَا أَهَلَّ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعِيَ الْهَدْيُ ، قَالَ : " فَلَا تَحِلَّ " .
´It was narrated that Ja'far bin Muhammad said:` "My father told us: 'we came to Jabir bin'Abdullah and asked him about the Hajj of the Prophet, He told us: "Ali came from Yemen with a Hadi, and the Messenger of Allah brought a Hadi from al-Madinah. He said to ail; 'For what have you entered Ihram?' He said: I 'I said: "O Allah, I am entering Ihram for that for which the Messenger of Allah entered Ihram," and I have the Hadi with me.' He said: 'Do not exit Ihram."'
Hadith 2772
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ ثَوْرٍ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ ، قَالَ : خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ ، وَمَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ ، قَالَ : " خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَمَنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ فِي بِضْعَ عَشْرَةَ مِائَةً مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ ، حَتَّى إِذَا كَانُوا بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ ، قَلَّدَ الْهَدْيَ ، وَأَشْعَرَ ، وَأَحْرَمَ بِالْعُمْرَةِ " , مُخْتَصَرٌ .
´It was narrated that Al-Miswar bin Makhramah and Marwan bin Al-Hakam said:` "The Messenger of Allah went out during the time of Al-Hudabiyah with between one-thousand and three-hundred, and one-thousand and five-hundred of his Companions. Then, when they were in Dhul-Hulaifah, he garlanded and marked the Hadi and began the Talbiyah for 'Umrah (Abridged).
Hadith 2776
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَسَّانَ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا كَانَ بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ أَمَرَ بِبَدَنَتِهِ فَأُشْعِرَ فِي سَنَامِهَا مِنَ الشِّقِّ الْأَيْمَنِ ، ثُمَّ سَلَتَ عَنْهَا وَقَلَّدَهَا نَعْلَيْنِ ، فَلَمَّا اسْتَوَتْ بِهِ عَلَى الْبَيْدَاءِ أَهَلَّ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn Abbas:` That when the Prophet was in Dhul-Hulaifah he ordered that his Budn be marked on the right side of its hump, then he wiped the blood on it and he garlanded it with two shoes, then when it stood up with him Al-baida; he began the Talbiyah.
Hadith 2779
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرٌ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " إِنْ كُنْتُ لَأَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، ثُمَّ يُقِيمُ وَلَا يُحْرِمُ " .
´It was narrated that Aishah said:` "I used to twist the garlands of the Hadi of the Messenger of Allah, then he would stay with his family and not enter Ihram."
Hadith 2804
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَسْأَلُ عَنْ رُكُوبِ الْبَدَنَةِ ، فَقَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " ارْكَبْهَا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ إِذَا أُلْجِئْتَ إِلَيْهَا حَتَّى تَجِدَ ظَهْرًا " .
´Abu Az-Zuhair said:` "I heard Jabir bin Abdullah being asked about riding a Badanah. He said about riding a Badanah. He said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah say: Ride it in a reasonable manner if necessary, until you find another mount."
Hadith 2806
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا نُرَى إِلَّا أَنَّهُ الْحَجُّ ، فَلَمَّا دَنَوْنَا مِنْ مَكَّةَ ، " أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ أَنْ يُقِيمَ عَلَى إِحْرَامِهِ ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ أَنْ يَحِلَّ " .
´It was narrated that Aishah said:` "We went out with the Messenger of Allah not thinking of anything but Hajj. When we drew close to Makkah, the Messenger of Allah ordered: 'Whoever has a Hadi with him should remain in Ihram, and whoever does not have a Hadi with him, he should exit Ihram."
Hadith 2819
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ وَنَحْنُ مُحْرِمُونَ ، فَأُهْدِيَ لَهُ طَيْرٌ وَهُوَ رَاقِدٌ ، فَأَكَلَ بَعْضُنَا ، وَتَوَرَّعَ بَعْضُنَا ، فَاسْتَيْقَظَ طَلْحَةُ فَوَفَّقَ مَنْ أَكَلَهُ ، وَقَالَ : " أَكَلْنَاهُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
´It was narrated from Mu'adh bin Abdur-Rahman At-Taimi that his father said:` "we were with Talhah bin Ubaidullah and we were Ihram. A birth was given to him when he was asleep, and some of us at from it and others refrained. Talhah woke up and agreed with those who had eaten it, and said: 'We ate it with Messenger of Allah.'"
Hadith 2832
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " خَمْسٌ يَقْتُلُهُنَّ الْمُحْرِمُ : الْحَيَّةُ ، وَالْفَأْرَةُ ، وَالْحِدَأَةُ ، وَالْغُرَابُ الْأَبْقَعُ ، وَالْكَلْبُ الْعَقُورُ ".
´It was narrated from Aishah that the Prophet said:` "There are five which the Muhrim may kill: snakes, mice, kites, speckled crows and vicious dogs."
