Hadith 150
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ ، عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَظْهَرَ إِسْلَامَهُ سَبْعَةٌ ، رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ ، وَعَمَّارٌ ، وَأُمُّهُ سُمَيَّةُ ، وَصُهَيْبٌ ، وَبِلَالٌ ، وَالْمِقْدَادُ ، فَأَمَّا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَنَعَهُ اللَّهُ بِعَمِّهِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، وَأَمَّا أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَمَنَعَهُ اللَّهُ بِقَوْمِهِ ، وَأَمَّا سَائِرُهُمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ الْمُشْرِكُونَ ، وَأَلْبَسُوهُمْ أَدْرَاعَ الْحَدِيدِ ، وَصَهَرُوهُمْ فِي الشَّمْسِ ، فَمَا مِنْهُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَقَدْ وَاتَاهُمْ عَلَى مَا أَرَادُوا ، إِلَّا بِلَالًا فَإِنَّهُ هَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ نَفْسُهُ فِي اللَّهِ ، وَهَانَ عَلَى قَوْمِهِ فَأَخَذُوهُ فَأَعْطَوْهُ الْوِلْدَانَ ، فَجَعَلُوا يَطُوفُونَ بِهِ فِي شِعَابِ مَكَّةَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : أَحَدٌ أَحَدٌ " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud said:` "The first people to declare their Islam publicly were seven: The Messenger of Allah, Abu Bakr, 'Ammar and his mother Sumayyah, Suhaib, Bilal and Miqdad. With regard to the Messenger of Allah, Allah protected him through his paternal uncle Abu Talib. With regard to Abu Bakr, Allah protected him through his people. As for the rest, the idolators seized them and made them wear coats of chain-mail and exposed them to the intense heat of the sun. There was none of them who did not do what they wanted them to do, except for Bilal. He did not care what happened to him for the sake of Allah, and his people did not care what happened to him. Then they gave him to the children who took him around in the streets of Makkah while he was saying, 'Ahad, Ahad (One, One).'"
Hadith 300
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي ، يَقُولُ : دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَسَمِعْتُهَا ، تَقُولُ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنَ الْغَائِطِ ، قَالَ : غُفْرَانَكَ " .
´Yusuf bin Abi Burdah narrated:` "I heard my father say: 'I entered upon 'Aishah, and I heard her say: "When the Messenger of Allah exited the toilet, he would say: Ghufranaka (I seek Your forgiveness).'" (Sahih) Another chain with similar wording.
Hadith 378
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " اغْتَسَلَ وَمَيْمُونَةُ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ فِي قَصْعَةٍ فِيهَا أَثَرُ الْعَجِينِ " .
´It was narrated from Umm Hani that :` The Prophet and Maimunah took a bath from a single vessel, a large bowl in which they were some traces of dough.
Hadith 427
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَلَا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى مَا يُكَفِّرُ اللَّهُ بِهِ الْخَطَايَا ، وَيَزِيدُ بِهِ فِي الْحَسَنَاتِ " ؟ قَالُوا : بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " إِسْبَاغُ الْوُضُوءِ عَلَى الْمَكَارِهِ ، وَكَثْرَةُ الْخُطَا إِلَى الْمَسَاجِدِ ، وَانْتِظَارُ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الصَّلَاةِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed Khudri that he heard :` The Messenger of Allah say: "Shall I not tell you of something by means of which Allah expiates for sins and increases good deeds?" They said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "Perform ablution properly despite difficulties, increasing the number of steps one takes towards the mosque and waiting for the next prayer after prayer.'"
Hadith 776
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " أَلَا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى مَا يُكَفِّرُ اللَّهُ بِهِ الْخَطَايَا وَيَزِيدُ بِهِ فِي الْحَسَنَاتِ ؟ " قَالُوا : بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " إِسْبَاغُ الْوُضُوءِ عِنْدَ الْمَكَارِهِ ، وَكَثْرَةُ الْخُطَى إِلَى الْمَسَاجِدِ ، وَانْتِظَارُ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الصَّلَاةِ " .

Hadith 877
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِذَا قَالَ الْإِمَامُ : سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ ، فَقُولُوا : اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri that he heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say:` “When the Imam says: ‘Sami’ Allahu liman hamidah (Allah hears those who praise Him),’ say: ‘Allahumma, Rabbana wa lakal-hamd (O Allah! O our Lord! To You is the praise).’”
Hadith 1084
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ابْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُنْذِرِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ سَيِّدُ الْأَيَّامِ وَأَعْظَمُهَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ، وَهُوَ أَعْظَمُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْأَضْحَى ، وَيَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ ، فِيهِ خَمْسُ خِلَالٍ : خَلَقَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ آدَمَ ، وَأَهْبَطَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ آدَمَ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ ، وَفِيهِ تَوَفَّى اللَّهُ آدَمَ ، وَفِيهِ سَاعَةٌ لَا يَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ فِيهَا الْعَبْدُ شَيْئًا إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ مَا لَمْ يَسْأَلْ حَرَامًا ، وَفِيهِ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ مَا مِنْ مَلَكٍ مُقَرَّبٍ ، وَلَا سَمَاءٍ ، وَلَا أَرْضٍ ، وَلَا رِيَاحٍ ، وَلَا جِبَالٍ ، وَلَا بَحْرٍ ، إِلَّا وَهُنَّ يُشْفِقْنَ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Lubabah bin ‘Abdul-Mundhir said:` “The Prophet (ﷺ) said: ‘Friday is the chief of days, the greatest day before Allah. It is greater before Allah then the Day of Adha and the Day of Fitr. It has five characteristics: On it Allah created Adam; on it Allah sent down Adam to this earth; on it there is a time during which a person does not ask Allah for anything but He will give it to him, so long as he does not ask for anything that is forbidden; on it the Hour will begin. There is no angel who is close to Allah, no heaven, no earth, no wind, no mountain, and no sea that does not fear Friday.’”
Hadith 1202
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ تَوْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ : " أَيَّ حِينٍ تُوتِرُ ؟ " ، قَالَ : أَوَّلَ اللَّيْلِ بَعْدَ الْعَتَمَةِ ، قَالَ : " فَأَنَتَ يَا عُمَرُ " ، فَقَالَ : آخِرَ اللَّيْلِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمَّا أَنْتَ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَأَخَذْتَ بِالْوُثْقَى ، وَأَمَّا أَنْتَ يَا عُمَرُ فَأَخَذْتَ بِالْقُوَّةِ " .
´It was narrated that Jabir bin ‘Abdullah said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to Abu Bakr: ‘When do you pray Witr?’ He said: ‘At the beginning of the night, after ‘Isha’.’ He said: ‘And you, O ‘Umar?’ He said: ‘At the end of the night.’ The Prophet (ﷺ) said: ‘As for you, O Abu Bakr, you have seized the trustworthy handhold (i.e., you want to be on the safe side), and as for you, O ‘Umar, you have seized strength (i.e., you are confident that you have the resolve to get up and pray Witr).’” Another chain with similar meaning.
Hadith 3522
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ , عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُصَيْفَةَ , عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ , عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ , عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ الثَّقَفِيِّ , أَنَّهُ قَالَ : قَدِمْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَبِي وَجَعٌ قَدْ كَادَ يُبْطِلُنِي , فَقَالَ لِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اجْعَلْ يَدَكَ الْيُمْنَى عَلَيْهِ , وَقُلْ : بِسْمِ اللَّهِ , أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ " , سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ , فَقُلْتُ ذَلِكَ : فَشَفَانِيَ اللَّهُ .
´It was narrated that ‘Uthman bin Abul-‘As Thaqafi said:` “I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and I was suffering pain that was killing me. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to me: ‘Put your right hand on it and say: Bismillah, a’udhu bi’izzatil-lahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru. (In the Name of Allah, I seek refuge in the might and power of Allah from the evil of what I feel and what I fear),” seven times.’ I said that, and Allah healed me.”
Hadith 3738
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ , عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ , أَنَّ عُمَرَ , قَالَ لِصُهَيْبٍ : مَا لَكَ تَكْتَنِي بِأَبِي يَحْيَى وَلَيْسَ لَكَ وَلَدٌ ؟ قَالَ : " كَنَّانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِأَبِي يَحْيَى " .
´It was narrated from Hamzah bin Suhaib that Umar said to Suhaib:` "Why are you called Abu Yahya when you do not have a son?" He said: "The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) gave me the Kunya of Abu Yahya."
Hadith 3745
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ , عَنْ شَيْبَانَ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ , عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْمُسْتَشَارُ مُؤْتَمَنٌ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said:` "One who is consulted is entrusted."
Hadith 4320
حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ , حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ , عَنْ عَاصِمٍ , عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " أُوقِدَتِ النَّارُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ فَابْيَضَّتْ , ثُمَّ أُوقِدَتْ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ فَاحْمَرَّتْ , ثُمَّ أُوقِدَتْ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ فَاسْوَدَّتْ , فَهِيَ سَوْدَاءُ كَاللَّيْلِ الْمُظْلِمِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “The Hell-Fire was kindled for one thousand years and turned white. Then it was kindled for another thousand years and it turned red. Then it was kindled for another thousand years and it turned black. So it is black like the darkest night.”
