Hadith 659
حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ كَرَامَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أُتِيَ بِدَلْوٍ فَمَضْمَضَ مِنْهُ ، فَمَجَّ فِيهِ مِسْكًا ، أَوْ أَطْيَبَ مِنَ الْمِسْكِ ، وَاسْتَنْثَرَ خَارِجًا مِنَ الدَّلْوِ " .
´It was narrated from 'Abdul Jabbar bin Wa'il that his father said:` "A bucket was brought to the Prophet; he rinsed his mouth and spat into it, and it was like musk or better than musk, and he rinsed his nostrils outside the bucket."
Hadith 810
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الضَّرِيرُ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمَفَضَّلِ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُصَلِّي فَأَخَذَ شِمَالَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ " .
´It was narrated that Wa’il bin Hujr said:` “I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) performing prayer, and he took hold of his left hand with his right.”
Hadith 855
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ ، وَعَمَّارُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " فَلَمَّا قَالَ : وَلا الضَّالِّينَ سورة الفاتحة آية 7 ، سورة الفاتحة آية 7 قَالَ : آمِينَ ، فَسَمِعْنَاهَا " .
´It was narrated from ‘Abdul-Jabbar bin Wa’il that his father said:` “I performed prayer with the Prophet (ﷺ) and when he said: ‘Nor of those who went astray’,[1:7] he said Amin and we heard that from him.”
Hadith 867
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الضَّرِيرُ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : " َأَنْظُرَنَّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَيْفَ يُصَلِّي ؟ فَقَامَ ، فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ ، فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى حَاذَتَا أُذُنَيْهِ ، فَلَمَّا رَكَعَ رَفَعَهُمَا مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ ، فَلَمَّا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ رَفَعَهُمَا مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ " .
´It was narrated that Wa’il bin Hujr said:` “I said: ‘I will look at the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and see how he performs the prayer.’ He stood up and faced the Qiblah, and raised his hands until they were parallel to his ears. When he bowed, he raised them likewise, and when he raised his head from Ruku’, he raised them likewise.”
Hadith 882
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلَّالُ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَنْبَأَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " إِذَا سَجَدَ وَضَعَ رُكْبَتَيْهِ قَبْلَ يَدَيْهِ ، وَإِذَا قَامَ مِنَ السُّجُودِ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ قَبْلَ رُكْبَتَيْهِ " .
´It was narrated that Wa’il bin Hujr said:` “I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) when he prostrated and put his knees on the ground before his hands, and when he stood up after prostrating, he took his hands off the ground before his knees.”
Hadith 912
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ ، قَال : " رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ حَلَّقَ الإِبْهَامِ وَالْوُسْطَى ، وَرَفَعَ الَّتِي تَلِيهِمَا يَدْعُو بِهَا فِي التَّشَهُّدِ " .
´It was narrated that Wa’il bin Hujr said:` “I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) making a circle with his thumb and middle finger, and raising the one next to it (the index finger), supplicating with it during the Tashah-hud.”
Hadith 1224
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ بَيَانٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق الْأَزْرَقُ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَرِيزٍ ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " صَلَّى جَالِسًا عَلَى يَمِينِهِ وَهُوَ وَجِعٌ " .
´It was narrated that Wa’il bin Hujr said:` “I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) performing prayer while sitting on his right side when he was sick.”
Hadith 2598
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ الرَّقِّيُّ ، وَأَيُّوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَزَّانُ ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا مُعَمَّرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، أَنْبَأَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : " اسْتُكْرِهَتِ امْرَأَةٌ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَدَرَأَ عَنْهَا الْحَدَّ وَأَقَامَهُ عَلَى الَّذِي أَصَابَهَا وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ أَنَّهُ جَعَلَ لَهَا مَهْرًا " .
´It was narrated from 'Abdul Jabbar bin Wa'il that his father said:` “A Woman was coerced (i.e., raped) during the time of Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) He waived the legal punishment for her and carried it out on the one who had attacked her, but he (the narrator) did not say that he rules that she should be given a bridal-money.”
Hadith 3636
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ , وَسُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ , عَنْ سُفْيَانَ , عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ , قَالَ : رَآنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلِي شَعَرٌ طَوِيلٌ , فَقَالَ : " ذُبَابٌ ذُبَابٌ " , فَانْطَلَقْتُ فَأَخَذْتُهُ , فَرَآنِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ : " إِنِّي لَمْ أَعْنِكَ وَهَذَا أَحْسَنُ " .
´It was narrated that Wa’il bin Hujr said:` “The Prophet (ﷺ) saw me when I had long hair. He said: ‘Bad news, bad news!’ So I went away and cut it short. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) saw me and said: ‘I did not mean you, but this is better.’”
Hadith 3802
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ , حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ , عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق , عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , قَالَ : صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ : الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا , طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ , فَلَمَّا صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي قَالَ هَذَا ؟ " , قَالَ الرَّجُلُ : أَنَا , وَمَا أَرَدْتُ إِلَّا الْخَيْرَ , فَقَالَ : لَقَدْ فُتِحَتْ لَهَا أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ , فَمَا نَهْنَهَهَا شَيْءٌ دُونَ الْعَرْشِ " .
´It was narrated from 'Abdul-Jabbar bin Wa'il that :` his father said: "I prayed with the Prophet (ﷺ) and a man said: 'Alhamdu lillahi hamdan kathiran tayyiban mubarakan fihi (Praise is to Allah, much, good and blessed praise).' When the Prophet (ﷺ) finished praying, he said: 'Who said that?' The man said: 'It was me, but I did not mean anything but good.' He said: 'The gates of heaven were opened because of it and nothing prevented it from reaching the Throne.'"
