Hadith 368
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِبِلَالٍ : كَيْفَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرُدُّ عَلَيْهِمْ حِينَ كَانُوا يُسَلِّمُونَ عَلَيْهِ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ ؟ قَالَ : " كَانَ يُشِيرُ بِيَدِهِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَحَدِيثُ صُهَيْبٍ حَسَنٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ اللَّيْثِ ، عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِبِلَالٍ : كَيْفَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْنَعُ حَيْثُ كَانُوا يُسَلِّمُونَ عَلَيْهِ فِي مَسْجِدِ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ ؟ قَالَ : كَانَ يَرُدُّ إِشَارَةً ، وَكِلَا الْحَدِيثَيْنِ عِنْدِي صَحِيحٌ ، لِأَنَّ قِصَّةَ حَدِيثِ صُهَيْبٍ غَيْرُ قِصَّةِ حَدِيثِ بِلَالٍ ، وَإِنْ كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ رَوَى عَنْهُمَا فَاحْتَمَلَ أَنْ يَكُونَ سَمِعَ مِنْهُمَا جَمِيعًا .
´Ibn Umar narrated:` "I said to Bilal: 'How did the Prophet (S) reply to them when they gave him Salams and he was performing Salat?' He said: 'He would motion with his hand.'"
Hadith 765
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ لَبَابا يُدْعَى الرَّيَّانَ ، يُدْعَى لَهُ الصَّائِمُونَ فَمَنْ كَانَ مِنَ الصَّائِمِينَ دَخَلَهُ وَمَنْ دَخَلَهُ لَمْ يَظْمَأْ أَبَدًا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ .
´Sahl bin Sa'd narrated that:` The Prophet said: "There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Raiyyan, those who fast shall be invited into it, and whoever was among those who fasted, then he will enter it; and whoever enters it, he will never thirst again."
Hadith 1074
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، وَأَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْن أَبِي هِلَالٍ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ سَيْفٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَمُوتُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ أَوْ لَيْلَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ إِلَّا وَقَاهُ اللَّهُ فِتْنَةَ الْقَبْرِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ ، قَالَ : وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ لَيْسَ إِسْنَادُهُ بِمُتَّصِلٍ رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ سَيْفٍ ، إِنَّمَا يَرْوِي عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، وَلَا نَعْرِفُ لِرَبِيعَةَ بْنِ سَيْفٍ سَمَاعًا مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو .
´Abdullah bin Amr narrated that:` The Messenger of Allah said: "No Muslim dies on the day of Friday, nor the night of Friday, except that Allah protects him from the trials of the grave."
Hadith 1650
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْبَاطِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي ذُبَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : مَرَّ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِشِعْبٍ فِيهِ عُيَيْنَةٌ مِنْ مَاءٍ عَذْبَةٌ ، فَأَعْجَبَتْهُ لِطِيبِهَا ، فَقَالَ : لَوِ اعْتَزَلْتُ النَّاسَ فَأَقَمْتُ فِي هَذَا الشِّعْبِ ، وَلَنْ أَفْعَلَ حَتَّى أَسْتَأْذِنَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " لَا تَفْعَلْ ، فَإِنَّ مُقَامَ أَحَدِكُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ فِي بَيْتِهِ سَبْعِينَ عَامًا ، أَلَا تُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَيُدْخِلَكُمُ الْجَنَّةَ ؟ اغْزُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، مَنْ قَاتَلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَوَاقَ نَاقَةٍ ، وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that a man from among the Companions passed by a mountain pass in which there was a small spring of sweet water. Because of its pleasantness, he liked that place and the spring very much. He said (thought): "I wish I could separate myself from the people and reside in this mountain pass." But then he said, "I will never do so until I seek permission from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." He mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: "Do not do so, for if any one of you stands in the path of Allah, it is better than praying in his house for seventy years. Do you not wish that Allah should forgive your sins and admit you to Paradise? Strive in the path of Allah. Whoever strives in the path of Allah for the duration between two milkings of a she-camel, Paradise becomes obligatory for him." __REF_N__ Imam Tirmidhi says: This hadith is Hasan.
Hadith 1927
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْبَاطِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ ، لَا يَخُونُهُ وَلَا يَكْذِبُهُ وَلَا يَخْذُلُهُ ، كُلُّ الْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ حَرَامٌ ، عِرْضُهُ وَمَالُهُ وَدَمُهُ ، التَّقْوَى هَا هُنَا ، بِحَسْبِ امْرِئٍ مِنَ الشَّرِّ أَنْ يَحْتَقِرَ أَخَاهُ الْمُسْلِمَ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ، وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، وَأَبِي أَيُّوبَ .
´Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:` : "The Muslim is the brother to the Muslim, he does not cheat him, lie to him, nor deceive him. All of the Muslim is unlawful to another Muslim: His Honor, his wealth, and his blood. At-taqwa is here. It is enough evil for a man that he belittle his brother Muslim."
Hadith 2530
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّيُّ البصري , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ وَصَلَّى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَحَجَّ الْبَيْتَ لَا أَدْرِي أَذَكَرَ الزَّكَاةَ أَمْ لَا إِلَّا كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ لَهُ إِنْ هَاجَرَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ مَكَثَ بِأَرْضِهِ الَّتِي وُلِدَ بِهَا " ، قَالَ مُعَاذٌ : أَلَا أُخْبِرُ بِهَذَا النَّاسَ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ذَرِ النَّاسَ يَعْمَلُونَ ، فَإِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِائَةَ دَرَجَةٍ مَا بَيْنَ كُلِّ دَرَجَتَيْنِ كَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ ، وَالْفِرْدَوْسُ أَعْلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَأَوْسَطُهَا ، وَفَوْقَ ذَلِكَ عَرْشُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَمِنْهَا تُفَجَّرُ أَنْهَارُ الْجَنَّةِ فَإِذَا سَأَلْتُمُ اللَّهَ فَسَلُوهُ الْفِرْدَوْسَ " , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَكَذَا رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ، وَهَذَا عِنْدِي أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ هَمَّامٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، وَعَطَاءٌ لَمْ يُدْرِكْ مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ ، وَمُعَاذٌ قَدِيمُ الْمَوْتِ مَاتَ فِي خِلَافَةِ عُمَرَ .
´Mu'adh bin Jabal narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "Whoever fasts Ramadan, performs the Salat, performs Hajj to the House" - I do not know whether he mentioned Zakat or not - "except that it is binding on Allah that He forgive him, whether he emigrated in the cause of Allah, or remained in his land in which he was born." Mu'adh said: "Should I not inform the people of this?" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Leave the people to do deeds, for verily in Paradise there are a hundred levels, what is between every two levels is like what is between the heavens and the earth. Al-Firdaus is the highest of Paradise and its most expansive, and above that is the Throne of Ar-Rahman (the Most Merciful), and from it the rivers of Paradise are made to flow forth. So when you ask Allah, ask Him for Al-Firdaus."
Hadith 3020
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ مُهَاجِرِ بْنِ قُنْفُذٍ الْتَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُنَيْسٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ مِنْ أَكْبَرِ الْكَبَائِرِ : الشِّرْكُ بِاللَّهِ ، وَعُقُوقُ الْوَالِدَيْنِ ، وَالْيَمِينُ الْغَمُوسُ ، وَمَا حَلَفَ حَالِفٌ بِاللَّهِ يَمِينَ صَبْرٍ فَأَدْخَلَ فِيهَا مِثْلَ جَنَاحِ بَعُوضَةٍ إِلَّا جُعِلَتْ نُكْتَةً فِي قَلْبِهِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَأَبُو أُمَامَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ هُوَ ابْنُ ثَعْلَبَةَ وَلَا نَعْرِفُ اسْمَهُ وَقَدْ رَوَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَحَادِيثَ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ .
´Narrated Abu Umamah Al-Ansari:` from 'Abdullah bin Unais Al-Juhni who said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Indeed among the worst of the major sins is Shirk with Allah, disobeying the parents, the false oath, and none insists on taking an oath in which he swears, including the like of a wing of a mosquito (of falsehood) in it - except that a spot is placed in his heart until the Day of Judgement.'"
Hadith 3076
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَمَّا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ آدَمَ مَسَحَ ظَهْرَهُ فَسَقَطَ مِنْ ظَهْرِهِ كُلُّ نَسَمَةٍ هُوَ خَالِقُهَا مِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْ كُلِّ إِنْسَانٍ مِنْهُمْ وَبِيصًا مِنْ نُورٍ ، ثُمَّ عَرَضَهُمْ عَلَى آدَمَ ، فَقَالَ : أَيْ رَبِّ مَنْ هَؤُلَاءِ ؟ قَالَ : هَؤُلَاءِ ذُرِّيَّتُكَ ، فَرَأَى رَجُلًا مِنْهُمْ فَأَعْجَبَهُ وَبِيصُ مَا بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : أَيْ رَبِّ مَنْ هَذَا ؟ ، فَقَالَ : هَذَا رَجُلٌ مِنْ آخِرِ الْأُمَمِ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِكَ يُقَالُ لَهُ : دَاوُدُ ، فَقَالَ : رَبِّ كَمْ جَعَلْتَ عُمْرَهُ ؟ ، قَالَ : سِتِّينَ سَنَةً ، قَالَ : أَيْ رَبِّ زِدْهُ مِنْ عُمْرِي أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً ، فَلَمَّا قُضِيَ عُمْرُ آدَمَ جَاءَهُ مَلَكُ الْمَوْتِ ، فَقَالَ : أَوَلَمْ يَبْقَ مِنْ عُمْرِي أَرْبَعُونَ سَنَةً ؟ ، قَالَ : أَوَلَمْ تُعْطِهَا ابْنَكَ دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : فَجَحَدَ آدَمُ ، فَجَحَدَتْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُ ، وَنُسِّيَ آدَمُ فَنُسِّيَتْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُ ، وَخَطِئَ آدَمُ فَخَطِئَتْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
´Narrated Abu Hurairah:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "When Allah created Adam He wiped his back and every person that He created among his offspring until the Day of Resurrection fell out of his back. He placed a ray of light between the eyes of every person. Then He showed them to Adam and he said: 'O Lord! Who are these people?' He said: 'These are your offspring.' He saw one of them whose ray between his eyes amazed him, so he said: 'O Lord! Who is this?' He said: 'This is a man from the latter nations of your offspring called Dawud.' He said: 'Lord! How long did You make his lifespan?' He said: 'Sixty years.' He said: 'O Lord! Add forty years from my life to his.' So at the end of Adam's life, the Angel of death of came to him, and he said: 'Do I not have forty years remaining?' He said: 'Did you not give them to your son Dawud?'" He said: "Adam denied, so his offspring denied, and Adam forgot and his offspring forgot, and Adam sinned, so his offspring sinned."
Hadith 3078
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نَعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدٍ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَمَّا خُلِقَ آَدَمُ " الْحَدِيثُ .
´Narrated Abu Hurairah:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "When Allah created Adam" (and he mentioned) the Hadith (#3076).
Hadith 3675
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَزَّازُ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَال : سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ يَقُولُ : أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَتَصَدَّقَ فَوَافَقَ ذَلِكَ عِنْدِي مَالًا ، فَقُلْتُ : الْيَوْمَ أَسْبِقُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ إِنْ سَبَقْتُهُ يَوْمًا ، قَالَ : فَجِئْتُ بِنِصْفِ مَالِي , فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا أَبْقَيْتَ لِأَهْلِكَ ؟ " , قُلْتُ : مِثْلَهُ ، وَأَتَى أَبُو بَكْرٍ بِكُلِّ مَا عِنْدَهُ ، فَقَالَ : " يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ مَا أَبْقَيْتَ لِأَهْلِكَ ؟ " , قَالَ : أَبْقَيْتُ لَهُمُ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ، قُلْتُ : وَاللَّهِ لَا أَسْبِقُهُ إِلَى شَيْءٍ أَبَدًا . قَالَ : هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Narrated Zaid bin Aslam:` "I heard 'Umar bin Al-Khattab saying: 'We were ordered by the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to give in charity, and that coincided with a time in which I had some wealth, so I said, "Today I will beat Abu Bakr, if ever I beat him."' So I came with half of my wealth, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "What did you leave for your family?" I said: "The like of it." And Abu Bakr came with everything he had, so he said: "O Abu Bakr! What did you leave for your family?" He said: "I left Allah and His Messenger for them." I said: '[By Allah] I will never be able to beat him to something.'"
Hadith 3846
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : نَزَلْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْزِلًا ، فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَمُرُّونَ , فَيَقُولُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ هَذَا يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ؟ " , فَأَقُولُ : فُلَانٌ ، فَيَقُولُ : " نِعْمَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ هَذَا " ، وَيَقُولُ : " مَنْ هَذَا ؟ " , فَأَقُولُ : فُلَانٌ ، فَيَقُولُ : " بِئْسَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ هَذَا " ، حَتَّى مَرَّ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ , فَقَالَ : " مَنْ هَذَا ؟ " , فَقُلْتُ : هَذَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، فَقَالَ : " نِعْمَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ سَيْفٌ مِنْ سُيُوفِ اللَّهِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ، وَلَا نَعْرِفُ لِزَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ سَمَاعًا مِنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَهُوَ عِنْدِي حَدِيثٌ مُرْسَلٌ . قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ .
´Narrated Abu Hurairah:` "We camped with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) at a place, and the people began passing by. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would say: 'Who is this, O Abu Hurairah?' So I would say: 'So-and-so.' So he would say: 'What an excellent slave of Allah this is.' And he would say: 'Who is this?' So I would say: 'So-and-so.' So he would say: 'What a bad slave of Allah this is.' Until Khalid bin Al-Walid passed, so he said: 'Who is this?' So I said: 'This is Khalid bin Al-Walid.' He said: 'What an excellent slave of Allah is Khalid bin Al-Walid, a sword from among the swords of Allah.'"
Hadith 3955
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَيَنْتَهِيَنَّ أَقْوَامٌ يَفْتَخِرُونَ بِآبَائِهِمُ الَّذِينَ مَاتُوا ، إِنَّمَا هُمْ فَحْمُ جَهَنَّمَ ، أَوْ لَيَكُونُنَّ أَهْوَنَ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنَ الْجُعَلِ الَّذِي يُدَهْدِهُ الْخِرَاءَ بِأَنْفِهِ ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَذْهَبَ عَنْكُمْ عُبِّيَّةَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَفَخْرَهَا بِالْآبَاءِ ، إِنَّمَا هُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ تَقِيٌّ ، وَفَاجِرٌ شَقِيٌّ ، النَّاسُ كُلُّهُمْ بَنُو آدَمَ , وَآدَمُ خُلِقَ مِنْ تُرَابٍ " . قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَاب عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ .
´Narrated Abu Hurairah:` that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "People should stop boasting about their fathers who have died, while they are but coals of Hell, or they will be more humiliated with Allah than the dung beetle who rolls dung with his nose. Indeed Allah has removed the pride of Jahiliyyah from you, and its boasting about lineage. [Indeed a person is either] a pious believer, or a miserable sinner. And people are all the children of Adam, and Adam was [created] from dust."
Hadith 3956
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ الْفَرْوِيُّ الْمَدَنِيُّ , حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " قَدْ أَذْهَبَ اللَّهُ عَنْكُمْ عُبِّيَّةَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَفَخْرَهَا بِالْآبَاءِ ، مُؤْمِنٌ تَقِيٌّ ، وَفَاجِرٌ شَقِيٌّ ، وَالنَّاسُ بَنُو آدَمَ , وَآدَمُ مِنْ تُرَابٍ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ ، وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ عِنْدَنَا مِنَ الْحَدِيثِ الْأَوَّلِ ، وَسَعِيدٌ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ قَدْ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَيَرْوِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَشْيَاءَ كَثِيرَةً ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، وَقَدْ رَوَى سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ ، وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ ، هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ أَبِي عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ .
Narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah has removed from you the pride of the Age of Ignorance and boasting about ancestors. Now people are either believers and pious or wicked and miserable, and all people are the children of Adam, and Adam was created from dust." © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is Hasan and, in our view, more authentic than the previous narration,
2- Sa'id Maqburi heard from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), and he narrates many things from Abu Hurairah through his father,
3- Sufyan Thawri and several other narrators have narrated this hadith from Hisham bin Sa'd, Hisham from Sa'id Maqburi, and Sa'id Maqburi from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), similar to the hadith of Abu 'Amir which he narrates from Hisham bin Sa'd.
1- This hadith is Hasan and, in our view, more authentic than the previous narration,
