Hadith 130
وحَدَّثَنَا
أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
أَبُو خَالِدٍ الأَحْمَرُ ، عَنْ
هِشَامٍ ، عَنِ
ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ هَمَّ بِحَسَنَةٍ فَلَمْ يَعْمَلْهَا كُتِبَتْ لَهُ حَسَنَةً ، وَمَنْ هَمَّ بِحَسَنَةٍ فَعَمِلَهَا كُتِبَتْ لَهُ عَشْرًا إِلَى سَبْعِ مِائَةِ ضِعْفٍ ، وَمَنْ هَمَّ بِسَيِّئَةٍ فَلَمْ يَعْمَلْهَا لَمْ تُكْتَبْ ، وَإِنْ عَمِلَهَا كُتِبَتْ " .
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed: He who intended to do good, but did not do it, one good was recorded for him, and he who intended to do good and also did it, ten to seven hundred good deeds were recorded for him. And he who intended evil, but did not commit it, no entry was made against his name, but if he committed that, it was recorded.
Hadith 142
Hasan reported: We were with Ma'qil bin Yasar inquiring about his health that Ubaidullah bin Ziyad came there. Ma'qil said to him: Verily I am going to narrate to you a hadith which I heard from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) . Then he narrated the hadith like those two (mentioned above).
Hadith 218

هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ ، عَنْ
مُحَمَّدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سِيرِينَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي
عِمْرَانُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ ، قَالُوا : وَمَنْ هُمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : هُمُ الَّذِينَ لَا يَكْتَوُونَ ، وَلَا يَسْتَرْقُونَ ، وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ ، فَقَامَ عُكَّاشَةُ ، فَقَالَ : ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ ، قَالَ : أَنْتَ مِنْهُمْ ، قَالَ : فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ، ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ ، قَالَ : سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ .
It is reported on the authority of 'Imran that the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) said: Seventy thousand people of my Ummah would be admitted into Paradise without rendering any account. They (the companions) said: Who would be of those (fortunate persons)? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Those who do not cauterise and practise charm, but repose trust in their Lord, 'Ukkasha then stood up and said: Supplicate (before) Allah that He should make me one among them. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Thou art one among them He (the narrator) said: A man stood up and said: Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) , supplicate (before) Allah that He should make me one among them. He (the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Ukkasha has preceded you (in this matter).
Hadith 233
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Five prayers and one Friday prayer to (the next) Friday prayer are expiations (for the sins committed in the intervals) between them.
Hadith 278
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: The Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) said: When anyone amongst you wakes up from sleep, he should wash his hands three times before putting it in the utensil, for he does not know where his hand was during the night.
Hadith 279
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The purification of the utensil belonging to any one of you, after it is licked by a dog, lies in washing it seven times, using sand for the first time.
Hadith 282
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: None amongst you should urinate in standing water, and then wash in it.
Hadith 288
Qutaiba bin Sa'id, Ishaq bin Ibrahim, Ibn Abi 'Aruba, Abu Ma'shar, Abu Bakr (RA) bin Abu Shaiba, Mansur and Mughira have all transmitted from Ibrahim, who transmitted it on the authority of A'isha's narration pertaining to the scraping off of the (drop) of semen from the garment of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) like the hadith of Khalid on the authority of Abu Ma'shar.
Hadith 478

ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، " أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، كَانَ إِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ ، قَالَ : اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ ، مِلْءَ السَّمَاوَاتِ ، وَمِلْءَ الأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ، وَمِلْءَ مَا شِئْتَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ بَعْدُ أَهْلَ الثَّنَاءِ وَالْمَجْدِ ، لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ ، وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ ، وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ " ،
Ibn Abbas (RA) reported: When the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) raised his head after bowing, he said: Allah! our Lord, to Thee be the praise that would fill the heavens and the earth and that which is between them, and that which will please Thee besides (them). Worthy art Thou of all praise and glory. No one can withhold what Thou givest, or give what Thou withholdest. And the greatness O! the great availeth not against Thee.
Hadith 478
Ibn Abbas (RA) reported from the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) the words: "And that would fill that which will please Thee besides (them)!" and he did not mention the subsequent (portion of supplication).
Hadith 545
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported from the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) that he forbade keeping one's hand on one's waist while praying, and in the narration of Abu Bakr (RA) (the words are): The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade to do so.
Hadith 602
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: When the words of Iqama are pronounced, none of you should run to it (to join the prayer) but walk with tranquility and dignity, and pray what you are in time for and complete what has gone before (what the Imam has completed).
Hadith 627
'Ali reported: When it was the day (of the Battle) of Ahzab, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: May Allah fill their graves and houses with fire, as they detained us and diverted us from the middle prayer, till the sun set.

Hadith 730
'Abdullah bin Shaqiq al-'Uqaili reported: I asked 'A'isha about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) . She said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would observe prayer (Nafl) in a standing position as well as in a sitting position, and when he commenced the prayer in a standing position, he bowed in this very position, and when he commenced the prayer in a sitting position, he bowed in this very position.
Hadith 768
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying When any one of you gets up at night, he should begin the prayer with two short rak'ahs.
Hadith 890

عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ ، حَدَّثَنَا
عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ ، حَدَّثَنَا
هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ
حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ
أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ ، قَالَتْ : " أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نُخْرِجَهُنَّ فِي الْفِطْرِ وَالْأَضْحَى : الْعَوَاتِقَ وَالْحُيَّضَ وَذَوَاتِ الْخُدُورِ ، فَأَمَّا الْحُيَّضُ فَيَعْتَزِلْنَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيَشْهَدْنَ الْخَيْرَ وَدَعْوَةَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ " ، قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِحْدَانَا لَا يَكُونُ لَهَا جِلْبَابٌ ، قَالَ : " لِتُلْبِسْهَا أُخْتُهَا مِنْ جِلْبَابِهَا " .
Umm 'Atiyya reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded us to bring out on' Id-ul-Fitr and 'Id-ul-Adha young women, menstruating women and purdah-observing ladies, menstruating women kept back from prayer, but participated in goodness and supplication of the Muslims. I said: Messenger of Allah, one of us does not have an outer garment (to cover her face and body). He said: Let her sister cover her with her outer garment.
Hadith 936
Umm 'Atiyya reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) took pledge from us (including this promise) that we would not lament. Only five amongst us fulfilled the promise, and one of them (who fulfilled the promise) was Umm Sulaim.
Hadith 938
Umm 'Atiyya reported: We were refrained from following the bier, but it was not made absolute on us.
Hadith 939
Umm 'Atiyya reported: There came to us the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as we were washing one of his daughters. So he said: Wash her (dead body) an odd number of times, five times or more than that, the rest of the hadith is the same. She (further) said: We braided her hair in three plaits: (two) on the sides of her head and one on her forehead.
Hadith 1144
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: Do not single out the night (preceding) Friday among the nights for prayer and do not single out Friday among days for fasting but only when anyone among you is accustomed to fast (on dates) which coincide with this day (Friday).
Hadith 1155
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: If anyone forgets that he is fasting and eats or drinks he should complete his fast, for it is only Allah Who has fed him and given him drink.

عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، قَالَ حَمَّادٌ : وَأَظُنُّ أَيُّوبَ قَدْ سَمِعَهُ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ
عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْ صَوْمِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَتْ : " كَانَ يَصُومُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ : قَدْ صَامَ قَدْ صَامَ ، وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ : قَدْ أَفْطَرَ قَدْ أَفْطَرَ ، قَالَتْ : وَمَا رَأَيْتُهُ صَامَ شَهْرًا كَامِلًا مُنْذُ قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ ، إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ رَمَضَانَ " ،
Abdullah bin Shaqiq reported. I asked 'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) about fasting of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) . She said: He used to observe fast (at times) so continuously that we said: He has fasted, he has fasted. And (at times) he did not observe fast (for days) and we began to say: He has abandoned fasting, he has abandoned fasting. She said: I did not see him observing fast throughout the whole of the month since he arrived in Madinah, but that of Ramadan.
Hadith 1305
Anas bin Malik (RA) (Allah be pleased wish him) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came to Mina; he went to the Jamra and threw pebbles at it, after which he went to his lodging in Mina, and sacrificed the animal. He then called for a barber and, turning his right side to him, let him shave him; after which he turned his left side. He then gave (these hair) to the people.
Hadith 1305

وَابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ،
وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، قَالُوا : أَخْبَرَنَا
حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، عَنْ
هِشَامٍ ، بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ ، أَمَّا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، فَقَالَ فِي رِوَايَتِهِ لِلْحَلَّاقِ : " هَا وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى الْجَانِبِ الْأَيْمَنِ هَكَذَا فَقَسَمَ شَعَرَهُ بَيْنَ مَنْ يَلِيهِ " ، قَالَ : " ثُمَّ أَشَارَ إِلَى الْحَلَّاقِ وَإِلَى الْجَانِبِ الْأَيْسَرِ فَحَلَقَهُ ، فَأَعْطَاهُ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ " ، وَأَمَّا فِي رِوَايَةِ أَبِي كُرَيْبٍ ، قَالَ : " فَبَدَأَ بِالشِّقِّ الْأَيْمَنِ فَوَزَّعَهُ الشَّعَرَةَ وَالشَّعَرَتَيْنِ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " بِالْأَيْسَرِ فَصَنَعَ بِهِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " هَا هُنَا أَبُو طَلْحَةَ " ، فَدَفَعَهُ إِلَى أَبِي طَلْحَةَ .
Abu Bakr (RA) reported: (He called for) the barber and, pointing towards the right side of his head, said: (Start from) here, and then distributed his hair among those who were near him. He then pointed to the barber (to shave) the left side and he shaved it, and he gave (these hair) to Umm Sulaim (Allah be pleased with her). And in the narration of Abu Kuraib (the words are): "He started from the right half (of his head), and he distributed a hair or two among the people, and then (asked the barber) to shave the left side and he did similarly, and he (the Holy Prophet) said: Here is Abu Talha and he gave these (hair) to Abu Talha."
Hadith 1305

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا
هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ
مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ
أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَمَى جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ ، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ إِلَى الْبُدْنِ فَنَحَرَهَا ، وَالْحَجَّامُ جَالِسٌ ، وَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ عَنْ رَأْسِهِ ، فَحَلَقَ شِقَّهُ الْأَيْمَنَ فَقَسَمَهُ فِيمَنْ يَلِيهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " احْلِقْ الشِّقَّ الْآخَرَ " ، فَقَالَ : " أَيْنَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ " ، فَأَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ .
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) threw stones at Jamrat al-'Aqabahh. He then want to his sacrificial animal and sacrificed it, and there was sitting the barber, and he pointed with his hand towards his head, and he shaved the right half of it, and he (the Holy Prophet) distributed them (the hair) among those who were near him. And he again said: Shave the other half, and said: Where is Abu Talha and gave it (the hair) to him.
Hadith 1305
وحَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا
سُفْيَانُ ، سَمِعْتُ
هِشَامَ بْنَ حَسَّانَ ، يُخْبِرُ عَنِ
ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ
أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " لَمَّا رَمَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْجَمْرَةَ ، وَنَحَرَ نُسُكَهُ ، وَحَلَقَ نَاوَلَ الْحَالِقَ شِقَّهُ الْأَيْمَنَ فَحَلَقَهُ ، ثُمَّ دَعَا أَبَا طَلْحَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ ، فَأَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ ، ثُمَّ نَاوَلَهُ الشِّقَّ الْأَيْسَرَ ، فَقَالَ : احْلِقْ فَحَلَقَهُ ، فَأَعْطَاهُ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ ، فَقَالَ : اقْسِمْهُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ " .
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported: When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had thrown pebbles at the Jamra and had sacrificed the animal, he turned (the right side) of his head towards the barber, and i. e shaved it. He then called Abu Talha al-Ansari and gave it to him. He then turned his left side and asked him (the barber) to shave. And he (the barber) shaved. and gave it to Abu Talha and told him to distribute it amongst the people.
Hadith 1408

أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حدثنا
أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ
هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ
مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم ، قَالَ : " لَا يَخْطُبُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ ، وَلَا يَسُومُ عَلَى سَوْمِ أَخِيهِ ، وَلَا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا ، وَلَا عَلَى خَالَتِهَا ، وَلَا تَسْأَلُ الْمَرْأَةُ طَلَاقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَكْتَفِئَ صَحْفَتَهَا وَلْتَنْكِحْ ، فَإِنَّمَا لَهَا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهَا " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: A man must not make proposal of marriage to a woman when his brother has done so already. And he must not offer a price for a thing for which his brother had already offered a price; and a woman must not be combined in marriage with her father's sister, nor with her mother's sister, and a woman must not ask to have her sister divorced in order to deprive her of what belongs to her, but she must marry, because she will have what Allah has decreed for her.
Hadith 1431
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: If any one of you is invited, he should accept (the invitation). In case he is fasting, he should pray (in order to bless the inmates of the house), and if he is not fasting he should eat.
Hadith 1438
Ma'bad bin Sirin said to Abu Sa'id (RA) : Did you hear Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) making a mention of something in regard to al-'azl? Thereupon he said: Yes. The rest (of the hadith is the same)
Hadith 938
وحدثنا

أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم ، قَالَ : " لَا تُحِدُّ امْرَأَةٌ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ ، إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجٍ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا ، وَلَا تَلْبَسُ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا إِلَّا ثَوْبَ عَصْبٍ ، وَلَا تَكْتَحِلُ ، وَلَا تَمَسُّ طِيبًا ، إِلَّا إِذَا طَهُرَتْ نُبْذَةً مِنْ قُسْطٍ أَوْ أَظْفَارٍ " ،
Umm 'Atiyya (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had said: A woman must not observe mourning for one who had died for more than three (days) except for four months and ten days in the case of her husband. and she must not wear a dyed garment except one of the types made of dyed yarn, or apply collyrium, or touch perfume except a little perfume or incense, when she has been purified after her courses.
Hadith 938
A hadith like this has been narrated on the authority of Hisham with the same chain of narrators but with a slight variation of words.
Hadith 1496

مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ
أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ، وَأَنَا أُرَى أَنَّ عِنْدَهُ مِنْهُ عِلْمًا ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ هِلَالَ بْنَ أُمَيَّةَ قَذَفَ امْرَأَتَهُ بِشَرِيكِ ابْنِ سَحْمَاءَ ، وَكَانَ أَخَا الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ لِأُمِّهِ ، وَكَانَ أَوَّلَ رَجُلٍ لَاعَنَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ ، قَالَ : فَلَاعَنَهَا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَبْصِرُوهَا ، فَإِنْ جَاءَتْ بِهِ أَبْيَضَ سَبِطًا قَضِيءَ الْعَيْنَيْنِ ، فَهُ وَلِهِلَالِ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، وَإِنْ جَاءَتْ بِهِ أَكْحَلَ جَعْدًا حَمْشَ السَّاقَيْنِ ، فَهُ وَلِشَرِيكِ ابْنِ سَحْمَاءَ " ، قَالَ : فَأُنْبِئْتُ أَنَّهَا جَاءَتْ بِهِ أَكْحَلَ جَعْدًا حَمْشَ السَّاقَيْنِ .
Muhammad (one of the narrators) reported: I asked Anas bin Malik (RA) knowing that he had a knowledge of (the case of li'an). He said: Hilal bin Umayya (RA) accused his wife with the charge of fornication with Sharik bin Sahma, the brother of al-Bara'b Malik from the side of his mother. And he was the first person who invoked curse (li'an) in Islam. He in fact invoked curse upon her. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: See to her if she gives birth to a white-complexioned child having dark hair and bright eyes; he must be the son of Hilal bin Umayya; and if she gives birth to a child with dark eyelids, curly hair and lean shanks, he must be the offspring of Sharik bin Sahma. He said: I was informed that she gave birth to a child having dark eyelids, curly hair and lean shanks.
Hadith 1519
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Do not meet the merchandise (in the way).

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Do not meet the merchant in the way and enter into business transaction with him, and whoever meets him and buys from him (and in case it is done, see) that when the owner of (merchandise) comes into the market (and finds that he has been paid less price) he has the option (to declare the transaction null and void).
Hadith 1628
Humaid bin Abdul Rahmin al-Himayri reported on the authority of the three of the sons of Sa'd: They said: Sa'd fell ill in Makkah. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) visited him to inquire after his health. The rest of the hadith is the same.

Abdul Rahman bin ahadeeth reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Do not swear by idols, nor by your fathers.
