Hadith 181
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ , وَأَبُو النَّضْرِ , عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ , عَنْ مُرَّةَ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صَلَاةُ الْوُسْطَى صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Abdullah bin Mas'ud narrated that :` Allah's Messenger said: "Salatul-Wusta is the Asr prayer."
Hadith 1478
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ , حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ , عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ , عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ , قَالَ : " حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْنِي : يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ , الْحُمُرَ الْإِنْسِيَّةَ , وَلُحُومَ الْبِغَالِ , وَكُلَّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ , وَذِي مِخْلَبٍ مِنَ الطَّيْرِ " , قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَاب , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , وَعِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَ , وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : حَدِيثُ جَابِرٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ .
´Narrated Jabir:` "On the Day of Khaibar, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prohibited eating domesticated donkeys, the meat of mules, every predator that possesses canine teeth, and every bird that possesses talons."
Hadith 1480
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ , حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ , عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ , عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ , عَنْ أَبِي وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ، قَالَ : قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ وَهُمْ يَجُبُّونَ أَسْنِمَةَ الْإِبِلِ , وَيَقْطَعُونَ أَلْيَاتِ الْغَنَمِ , فَقَالَ : " مَا قُطِعَ مِنَ الْبَهِيمَةِ وَهِيَ حَيَّةٌ فَهِيَ مَيْتَةٌ " , حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْجَوْزَجَانِيُّ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ نَحْوَهُ , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ , لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ , وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ , وَأَبُو وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ اسْمُهُ : الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ .
´Narrated Abu Waqid Al-Laithi:` "The Prophet (ﷺ) came to Al-Madinah and they were in the habit of cutting the humps off of the camels and cutting the buttocks from the sheep. He said: 'Whatever is cut from an animal while it is alive, then it is dead flesh.'"
Hadith 1664
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " رِبَاطُ يَوْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا ، وَمَوْضِعُ سَوْطِ أَحَدِكُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا ، وَلَرَوْحَةٌ يَرُوحُهَا الْعَبْدُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ لَغَدْوَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا " ، هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
Narrated from Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Guarding the frontier for one day in the way of Allah is better than the world and all that is in it. A place in Paradise as small as the whip of one of you is better than the world and all that is in it, and a servant’s going forth in the morning or evening in the way of Allah is better than the world and all that is in it.”
Hadith 1823
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُلَاثَةَ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، وَأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَا : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا دَعَا عَلَى الْجَرَادِ ، قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ أَهْلِكِ الْجَرَادَ اقْتُلْ كِبَارَهُ وَأَهْلِكْ صِغَارَهُ وَأَفْسِدْ بَيْضَهُ وَاقْطَعْ دَابِرَهُ وَخُذْ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ عَنْ مَعَاشِنَا وَأَرْزَاقِنَا إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ " ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ تَدْعُو عَلَى جُنْدٍ مِنْ أَجْنَادِ اللَّهِ بِقَطْعِ دَابِرِهِ ؟ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّهَا نَثْرَةُ حُوتٍ فِي الْبَحْرِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ، وَمُوسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيُّ قَدْ تُكُلِّمَ فِيهِ وَهُوَ كَثِيرُ الْغَرَائِبِ وَالْمَنَاكِيرِ ، وَأَبُوهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثِقَةٌ وَهُوَ مَدَنِيٌّ .
Jabir bin Abdullah and Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with them) say that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) supplicated against locusts, he would say «اللهم أهلك الجراد اقتل كباره وأهلك صغاره وأفسد بيضه واقطع دابره وخذ بأفواههم عن معاشنا وأرزاقنا إنك سميع الدعاء» "O Allah! Destroy the locusts, kill the big ones, ruin the small ones, spoil their eggs, eradicate them completely, and prevent them from destroying our livelihood and sustenance. Surely, You are the Hearer of supplication." A man asked: O Messenger of Allah! How can you supplicate for the eradication of one of Allah's armies? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: "It is the sneeze of a fish in the sea." © Imam Tirmidhi says:

Hadith 2266
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَشْقَرُ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَهَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحٌ الْمُرِّيُّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا كَانَ أُمَرَاؤُكُمْ خِيَارَكُمْ وَأَغْنِيَاؤُكُمْ سُمَحَاءَكُمْ وَأُمُورُكُمْ شُورَى بَيْنَكُمْ فَظَهْرُ الْأَرْضِ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ مِنْ بَطْنِهَا ، وَإِذَا كَانَ أُمَرَاؤُكُمْ شِرَارَكُمْ وَأَغْنِيَاؤُكُمْ بُخَلَاءَكُمْ وَأُمُورُكُمْ إِلَى نِسَائِكُمْ فَبَطْنُ الْأَرْضِ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ مِنْ ظَهْرِهَا " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ ، لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ صَالِحٍ الْمُرِّيِّ ، وَصَالِحٌ الْمُرِّيُّ فِي حَدِيثِهِ غَرَائِبُ يَنْفَرِدُ بِهَا لَا يُتَابَعُ عَلَيْهَا ، وَهُوَ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ .
´Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said:` "When your leaders are the best of you, the richest are the most generous among you, and your affairs are consulted among you, then the surface of the earth is better for you than its belly. And when your leaders are the worst of you, the richest are the stingiest among you, and your affairs are referred to your women, then the belly of the earth is better for you than its surface."
Hadith 2411
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو النَّضْرِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ بِمَعْنَاهُ , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ .
`With this chain also,` a hadith of the same meaning is narrated from Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). © Imam Tirmidhi says:
This hadith is Hasan Gharib; we know it only through the chain of Ibrahim bin Abdullah bin Hatib.

Hadith 2450
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو فَرْوَةَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ التَّمِيمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي بُكَيْرُ بْنُ فَيْرُوزَ، قَال : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ خَافَ أَدْلَجَ وَمَنْ أَدْلَجَ بَلَغَ الْمَنْزِلَ ، أَلَا إِنَّ سِلْعَةَ اللَّهِ غَالِيَةٌ ، أَلَا إِنَّ سِلْعَةَ اللَّهِ الْجَنَّةُ " , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ، لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي النَّضْرِ .
´Abu Hurairah narrated that The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:` "Whoever fears traveling at night - and whoever travels at night reaches his destination - Allah provides him with the most precious of goods, and indeed Allah's goods are but Paradise."
Hadith 2451
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَقِيلٍ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، حَدَّثَنِي رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، وَعَطِيَّةُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ , عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ السَّعْدِيِّ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَبْلُغُ الْعَبْدُ أَنْ يَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُتَّقِينَ حَتَّى يَدَعَ مَا لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ حَذَرًا لِمَا بِهِ الْبَأْسُ " , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .
'Atiyyah Sa'di (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A servant cannot reach the status of the pious until he leaves that which is harmless out of caution for that which contains evil." © Imam Tirmidhi says:

Hadith 2911
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ خُنَيْسٍ، عَنْ لَيْثِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا أَذِنَ اللَّهُ لِعَبْدٍ فِي شَيْءٍ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ يُصَلِّيهِمَا ، وَإِنَّ الْبِرَّ لَيُذَرُّ عَلَى رَأْسِ الْعَبْدِ مَا دَامَ فِي صَلَاتِهِ ، وَمَا تَقَرَّبَ الْعِبَادُ إِلَى اللَّهِ بِمِثْلِ مَا خَرَجَ مِنْهُ " ، قَالَ أَبُو النَّضْرِ : يَعْنِي الْقُرْآنَ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ ، لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ، وَبَكْرُ بْنُ خُنَيْسٍ قَدْ تَكَلَّمَ فِيهِ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ وَتَرَكَهُ فِي آخِرِ أَمْرِهِ ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُرْسَلٌ .
´Narrated Zaid bin Artah:` narrated from Abu Umamah, that he Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Allah does not listen to anything more virtuous from the worshiper than the two Rak'ah of Salat he performs. And the righteousness spreads over the head of a worshiper as long as he remains in his Salat. And the worshipers shall not draw nearer to Allah, Mighty and Sublime is He, with similar to what came from Him."
Hadith 2981
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْهَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنِ الْمُبَارَكِ بْنِ فَضَالَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، " أَنَّهُ زَوَّجَ أُخْتَهُ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَكَانَتْ عِنْدَهُ مَا كَانَتْ ثُمَّ طَلَّقَهَا تَطْلِيقَةً لَمْ يُرَاجِعْهَا حَتَّى انْقَضَتِ الْعِدَّةُ ، فَهَوِيَهَا وَهَوِيَتْهُ ثُمَّ خَطَبَهَا مَعَ الْخُطَّابِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : يَا لُكَعُ أَكْرَمْتُكَ بِهَا وَزَوَّجْتُكَهَا فَطَلَّقْتَهَا وَاللَّهِ لَا تَرْجِعُ إِلَيْكَ أَبَدًا آخِرُ مَا عَلَيْكَ ، قَالَ : فَعَلِمَ اللَّهُ حَاجَتَهُ إِلَيْهَا وَحَاجَتَهَا إِلَى بَعْلِهَا ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى : وَإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَبَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ : وَأَنْتُمْ لا تَعْلَمُونَ سورة البقرة آية 232 ، فَلَمَّا سَمِعَهَا مَعْقِلٌ قَالَ : سَمْعًا لِرَبِّي وَطَاعَةً ، ثُمَّ دَعَاهُ ، فَقَالَ : أُزَوِّجُكَ وَأُكْرِمُكَ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ وَهُوَ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ غَرِيبٌ ، وَفِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ دَلَالَةٌ عَلَى أَنَّهُ لَا يَجُوزُ النِّكَاحُ بِغَيْرِ وَلِيٍّ لِأَنَّ أُخْتَ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ كَانَتْ ثَيِّبًا فَلَوْ كَانَ الْأَمْرُ إِلَيْهَا دُونَ وَلِيِّهَا لَزَوَّجَتْ نَفْسَهَا وَلَمْ تَحْتَجْ إِلَى وَلِيِّهَا مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، وَإِنَّمَا خَاطَبَ اللَّهُ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ الْأَوْلِيَاءَ ، فَقَالَ : فَلا تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ أَنْ يَنْكِحْنَ أَزْوَاجَهُنَّ سورة البقرة آية 232 فَفِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ دَلَالَةٌ عَلَى أَنَّ الْأَمْرَ إِلَى الْأَوْلِيَاءِ فِي التَّزْوِيجِ مَعَ رِضَاهُنَّ .
´Narrated Al-Hasan:` from Ma'qil bin Yasar that he married his sister to a man among the Muslims during the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). She remained with him as long as she did, then he divorced her once without taking her back until her 'Iddah elapsed, but they desired each other again. He (Ma'qil) said to him: 'You ingrate! I honored you by marrying her to you, then you divorced her. By Allah! She will never be returned to you again.' Allah knew of his heed for her and her need for a husband, so Allah, Blessed and Most High, revealed: 'And when you have divorced women and they have fulfilled the term of their prescribed period...' up to His saying: '... and you do not know (2:232).' So when Ma'qil heard that he said: 'I heard my Lord and obey.' Then he called for him and said: 'I marry you, and honor you.'" [Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. It has been reported through other routes from AlHasan, and that is reported from Hasan is Gharib. And in this Hadtth, there is proof that marriage is not allowed without a Wali, because Ma'qil bin Yasãr's sister was not a virgin, so if the matter was up to her, not her Wali, then she could have married herself, and she would have had no need for Ma'qil bin Yasãr to act as the Wali for her. And Allah only addressed the Wali in this Ayah, saying: Do not prevent them from marrying their (former) husbands. - so in this Ayah is the evidence that the authority is with the Wali in marrying (women) with their consent.

حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ، وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صَلَاةُ الْوُسْطَى صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ " ، وَفِي الْبَابِ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، وَأَبِي هَاشِمِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Salat Al-Wusta is Salat Al-'Asr."
Hadith 3549
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ خُنَيْسٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ الْقُرَشِيِّ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بِنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ، عَنْ بِلَالٍ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " عَلَيْكُمْ بِقِيَامِ اللَّيْلِ فَإِنَّهُ دَأَبُ الصَّالِحِينَ قَبْلَكُمْ ، وَإِنَّ قِيَامَ اللَّيْلِ قُرْبَةٌ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَمَنْهَاةٌ عَنِ الْإِثْمِ ، وَتَكْفِيرٌ لِلسَّيِّئَاتِ وَمَطْرَدَةٌ لِلدَّاءِ عَنِ الْجَسَدِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ ، لَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ بِلَالٍ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ، وَلَا يَصِحُّ مِنْ قِبَلِ إِسْنَادِهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْت مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْمَاعِيل ، يَقُولُ : مُحَمَّدٌ الْقُرَشِيُّ هُوَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الشَّامِيُّ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي قَيْسٍ وَهُوَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ وَقَدْ تُرِكَ حَدِيثُهُ ،
It is narrated from Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Observe the night prayer, that is, Tahajjud, for it was the practice of the righteous before you, and the night prayer, that is, Tahajjud, is a means of drawing closer to Allah, staying away from sins, erasing evil deeds, and driving diseases away from the body." © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is gharib,
2- And we know it from Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) only through this chain, and it is not authentic with regard to its chain,
3- I heard Muhammad bin Ismail Bukhari say: Muhammad Quraishi is Muhammad bin Saeed Shami, and he is the son of Abu Qais, and this (Abu Qais) is Muhammad bin Hassan, and the hadith narrated by him (Muhammad Quraishi) is not accepted.
