Hadith 2612
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ ، أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَقِيلِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ السُّلَمِيِّ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ هَيْضَمٍ ، عَنِ الْأَشْعَثِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي وَفْدِ كِنْدَةَ وَلَا يَرَوْنِي إِلَّا أَفْضَلَهُمْ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَلَسْتُمْ مِنَّا ؟ فَقَالَ : " نَحْنُ بَنُو النَّضْرِ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ لَا نَقْفُو أُمَّنَا وَلَا نَنْتَفِي مِنْ أَبِينَا " ، قَالَ : فَكَانَ الْأَشْعَثُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ يَقُولُ : لَا أُوتِي بِرَجُلٍ نَفَى رَجُلًا مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ مِنَ النَّضْرِ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ إِلَّا جَلَدْتُهُ الْحَدَّ .
´Muslim bin Haisam narrated from Ash'ath bin Qais who said:` “I came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) with a delegation from Kindah, and they thought that I was the best of them. I said: 'O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) are you not from among us?' He said: 'We are the tribe of Banu Nadr bin Kinanah, and we do not attribute ourselves to our mother and we do not deny our forefathers.'”He said: “Ash'ath bin Qais used to say: 'If any man is brought to me who suggests that a man from Quraish does not belong to Nadr bin Kinanah, I would carry out the legal punishment (for slander) on him.'”
Hadith 3141
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنْبَأَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَذْبَحُوا إِلَّا مُسِنَّةً إِلَّا أَنْ يَعْسُرَ عَلَيْكُمْ ، فَتَذْبَحُوا جَذَعَةً مِنَ الضَّأْنِ " .
´It was narrated from Jabir that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` ‘Do not slaughter anything but a Musinnah,* unless there is none available, in which case you can slaughter a Jadha’a among sheep.”
Hadith 3549
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ , حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى , أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَنَابٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى , عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَبِي لَيْلَى , قَالَ : كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْ جَاءَهُ أَعْرَابِيٌّ , فَقَالَ : إِنَّ لِي أَخًا وَجِعًا , قَالَ : " مَا وَجَعُ أَخِيكَ ؟ " , قَالَ : بِهِ لَمَمٌ , قَالَ : " اذْهَبْ فَأْتِنِي بِهِ " , قَالَ : فَذَهَبَ فَجَاءَ بِهِ , فَأَجْلَسَهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ , فَسَمِعْتُهُ : " عَوَّذَهُ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ , وَأَرْبَعِ آيَاتٍ مِنْ أَوَّلِ الْبَقَرَةِ , وَآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ وَسَطِهَا وَإِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ سورة البقرة آية 163 , وَآيَةِ الْكُرْسِيِّ , وَثَلَاثِ آيَاتٍ مِنْ خَاتِمَتِهَا , وَآيَةٍ مِنْ آلِ عِمْرَانَ " , أَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ : " شَهِدَ اللَّهُ أَنَّهُ لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ سورة آل عمران آية 18 , وَآيَةٍ مِنْ الْأَعْرَافِ إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ سورة الأعراف آية 54 , وَآيَةٍ مِنْ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَمَنْ يَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ لا بُرْهَانَ لَهُ بِهِ سورة المؤمنون آية 117 , وَآيَةٍ مِنْ الْجِنِّ : وَأَنَّهُ تَعَالَى جَدُّ رَبِّنَا مَا اتَّخَذَ صَاحِبَةً وَلا وَلَدًا سورة الجن آية 3 , وَعَشْرِ آيَاتٍ مِنْ أَوَّلِ الصَّافَّاتِ ، وَثَلَاثِ آيَاتٍ مِنْ آخِرِ الْحَشْرِ , وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ والمعوذتين " , فَقَامَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ , قَدْ بَرَأَ لَيْسَ بِهِ بَأْسٌ .
´It was narrated from ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Laila that his father Abu Laila said:` “I was sitting with the Prophet (ﷺ) when a Bedouin came to him and said: ‘I have a brother who is sick.’ He said: ‘What is the matter with your brother?’ He said: ‘He suffers from a slight mental derangement.’ He said: ‘Go and bring him.’” He said: “(So he went) and he brought him. He made him sit down in front of him and I heard him seeking refuge for him with Fatihatil-Kitab; four Verses from the beginning of Al-Baqarah, two Verses from its middle: ‘And your Ilah (God) is One Ilah (God – Allah),’ [2:163] and Ayat Al-Kursi; and three Verses from its end; a Verse from Al ‘Imran, I think it was: ‘Allah bears witness that La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He),’ [3:18] a Verse from Al-A’raf: ‘Indeed, your Lord is Allah,’ [7:54] a Verse from Al-Mu’minun: ‘And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allah, any other ilah (god), of whom he has no proof,’[23:117] a Verse from Al-Jinn: ‘And He, exalted is the Majesty of our Lord,’ [72:3] ten Verses from the beginning of As-Saffat; three Verses from the end of Al-Hashr; (then) ‘Say: He is Allah, (the) One,’ [112:1] and Al-Mu’awwidhatain. Then the Bedouin stood up, healed, and there was nothing wrong with him.”
