Hadith 347
أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْكُوفِيُّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، كَانَ " يَتَوَضَّأُ بِمُدٍّ وَيَغْتَسِلُ بِنَحْوِ الصَّاعِ " .
It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to perform Ghusl with a Mudd and Ghusl with approximately a Sa'.
Hadith 1642
أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : " لَا أَعْلَمُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ كُلَّهُ فِي لَيْلَةٍ ، وَلَا قَامَ لَيْلَةً حَتَّى الصَّبَاحَ ، وَلَا صَامَ شَهْرًا كَامِلًا قَطُّ غَيْرَ رَمَضَانَ " .
´It was narrated that 'Aishah, may Allah (SWT) be pleased with her, said:` "I do not know that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) recited the whole Qur'an in one night, or spent a whole night in worship until dawn, or that he ever fasted an entire month apart from Ramadan."
Hadith 1721
أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَبْدَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كُنَّا نُعِدُّ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سِوَاكَهُ وَطَهُورَهُ ، فَيَبْعَثُهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِمَا شَاءَ أَنْ يَبْعَثَهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَيَسْتَاكُ وَيَتَوَضَّأُ وَيُصَلِّي تِسْعَ رَكَعَاتٍ لَا يَجْلِسُ فِيهِنَّ إِلَّا عِنْدَ الثَّامِنَةِ ، وَيَحْمَدُ اللَّهَ وَيُصَلِّي عَلَى نَبِيِّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَيَدْعُو بَيْنَهُنَّ وَلَا يُسَلِّمُ تَسْلِيمًا ، ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي التَّاسِعَةَ وَيَقْعُدُ ، وَذَكَرَ كَلِمَةً نَحْوَهَا ، وَيَحْمَدُ اللَّهَ وَيُصَلِّي عَلَى نَبِيِّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَيَدْعُو , ثُمَّ يُسَلِّمُ تَسْلِيمًا يُسْمِعُنَا , ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ قَاعِدٌ " .
´It was narrated from Sa'd bin Hisham that Aishah said:` "We used to prepare siwak and water for wudu for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). Allah (SWT) would wake him when He willed to wake him at night, then he would clean his teeth and make wudu, and pray nine rak'ahs, not sitting until the eighth, when he would praise Allah (SWT) and send blessings upon His Prophet and supplicate between them, but he did not say the taslim. Then he prayed the ninth and sat, and said something similar, praising Allah (SWT) and sending blessings upon His Prophet (ﷺ), then he said a taslim that we could hear, then he prayed two rak'ahs sitting down."
Hadith 1760
أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " رَكْعَتَا الْفَجْرِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا " .
´It was narrated from Aishah that :` The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The two rak'ahs (before) Fajr are better than this world and everything in it."
Hadith 2003
أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ زَاذَانَ ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ ، قال : " خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي جَنَازَةٍ ، فَلَمَّا انْتَهَيْنَا إِلَى الْقَبْرِ وَلَمْ يُلْحَدْ فَجَلَسَ وَجَلَسْنَا حَوْلَهُ كَأَنَّ عَلَى رُءُوسِنَا الطَّيْرَ " .
´It was narrated that Al-Bark' said:` "We went out with the Messenger of Allah for a funeral, and when we reached the grave the Lahd had not yet been prepared. He sat, and we sat around him, as if there were birds on our heads."
Hadith 2029
أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى ، وَأَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ , عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قال : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُبْنَى عَلَى الْقَبْرِ أَوْ يُزَادَ عَلَيْهِ أَوْ يُجَصَّصَ زَادَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى أَوْ يُكْتَبَ عَلَيْهِ " .
´It was narrated that Jabir said:` "The Messenger of Allah forbade building over graves, making them larger or plastering over them." (One of two narrators) Sulaiman bin Musa added: "Or writing on them."
Hadith 2184
أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَبْدَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " لَا أَعْلَمُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ كُلَّهُ فِي لَيْلَةٍ ، وَلَا قَامَ لَيْلَةً حَتَّى الصَّبَاحِ ، وَلَا صَامَ شَهْرًا كَامِلًا قَطُّ غَيْرَ رَمَضَانَ " .
´It was narrated that Aishah said:` "I do not know that the Messenger of Allah recited the whole Quran in one night, or prayed Qiyam until morning, or ever fasted an entire month except Ramadan." '
Hadith 2243
أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، وَالْأَسْوَدِ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمُ الْبَاءَةَ فَلْيَتَزَوَّجْ ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَعَلَيْهِ بِالصَّوْمِ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَهُ وِجَاءٌ " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever among you can afford to get married, let him do so, and whoever cannot afford it should fast, for it will be a restraint (Wija) for him."'
Hadith 2617
أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ حَمَلَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَرَآهَا تُبَاعُ ، فَأَرَادَ شِرَاءَهَا , فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَعْرِضْ فِي صَدَقَتِكَ " .
´It was narrated from 'Umar that:` he gave someone a horse to ride in the cause of Allah, then he saw it offered for sale and wanted to buy it. The Prophet said to him: "Do not think of buying back what you have given in charity."
Hadith 3081
أَخْبَرَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق الْهَمْدَانِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " كُنْتُ رِدْفَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يُلَبِّي حَتَّى رَمَى جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ ، فَرَمَاهَا بِسَبْعِ حَصَيَاتٍ يُكَبِّرُ مَعَ كُلِّ حَصَاةٍ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that his brother Al-Fadl bin 'Abbas said:` "I was riding behind the Prophet and he continued to recite the Talbiyah until he stoned Jamratul'Aqabah. He stoned it with seven pebbles, saying the Takbir with each throw."
Hadith 3210
أَخْبَرَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق الْهَمْدَانِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ , وَالْأَسْوَدُ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمُ الْبَاءَةَ فَلْيَتَزَوَّجْ ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَعَلَيْهِ بِالصَّوْمِ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَهُ وِجَاءٌ " , قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : الْأَسْوَدُ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ لَيْسَ بِمَحْفُوظٍ .
´Narrated 'Alqamah:` It was narrated from 'Alqamah and Al-Aswad that 'Abdullah said: "The Messenger of Allah said to us: 'Whoever among you can afford it, let him get married, and whoever cannot then he should fast, for it will be a restraint (wija') for him.'" Abu Abdur-Rahman said: (The mention of) Al-Aswad in this hadith is not preserved.
Hadith 3378
أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ عَبْدَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " لَمَّا تَزَوَّجَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَاطِمَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَعْطِهَا شَيْئًا ، قَالَ : مَا عِنْدِي ، قَالَ : فَأَيْنَ دِرْعُكَ الْحُطَمِيَّةُ ؟ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:` "When Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, married Fatimah, may Allah be pleased with her, the Messenger of Allah said to him: 'Give her something.' He said: 'I do not have anything.' He said: 'Where is your Hutami armor?'"
Hadith 3693
أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدَةَ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ هُوَ ابْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ أُمِّي مَاتَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا نَذْرٌ وَلَمْ تَقْضِهِ ، قَالَ : " اقْضِهِ عَنْهَا " .
´It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:` Sa'd bin 'Ubadah came to the Prophet and said: "My mother has died and she had a vow to fulfill but she did not do so." He said: "Fulfill it on her behalf."
Hadith 3850
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ آدَمَ , وَهَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق الْهَمْدَانِيُّ , عَنْ عَبْدَةَ , عَنْ هِشَامٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عُرْوَةَ , عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ , عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ , عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : جَاءَ سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ : إِنَّ أُمِّي مَاتَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا نَذْرٌ فَلَمْ تَقْضِهِ , قَالَ : " اقْضِهِ عَنْهَا " .
´It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:` "Sa'd bin 'Ubadah came to the Prophet and said: 'My mother died and she had sworn a vow, but she did not fulfill it.' He said: 'Fulfill it on her behalf.'"
Hadith 4213
أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْعَدَوِيِّ ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ ، قَالَ : خَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَنَحْنُ تِسْعَةٌ : خَمْسَةٌ وَأَرْبَعَةٌ , أَحَدُ الْعَدَدَيْنِ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ ، وَالْآخَرُ مِنَ الْعَجَمِ ، فَقَالَ : " اسْمَعُوا ، هَلْ سَمِعْتُمْ أَنَّهُ سَتَكُونُ بَعْدِي أُمَرَاءُ ، مَنْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَصَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ ، وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ ، فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي ، وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُ ، وَلَيْسَ يَرِدُ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَدْخُلْ عَلَيْهِمْ ، وَلَمْ يُصَدِّقْهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ ، وَلَمْ يُعِنْهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ ، فَهُوَ مِنِّي ، وَأَنَا مِنْهُ ، وَسَيَرِدُ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ " .
´It was narrated that Kab bin Ujrah said:` "The Messenger of Allah came out to us and we were nine, fie and four, some 'Arabs and some non- 'Arabs. He said: 'Listen. Have you heard that after me there will be rulers, whoever enters upon them and believes their lies and help them in their wrongdoing is not of me, and I am not of him, and he will not come to me at the Cistern? Whoever does not enter upon them or belive their lies or help them in their wrongdoing is of me and I am of him, and he will come to me at the Cistern."'
