Hadith 191
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا جَلَسَ بَيْنَ شُعَبِهَا الْأَرْبَعِ ثُمَّ اجْتَهَدَ ، فَقَدْ وَجَبَ الْغُسْلُ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "When (a man) sits between the four parts of his wife's body and exerts himself, then Ghusl becomes obligatory."
Hadith 270
أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ ، عَنْ بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَقِيَهُ فِي طَرِيقٍ مِنْ طُرُقِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ ، فَانْسَلَّ عَنْهُ فَاغْتَسَلَ ، فَفَقَدَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَلَمَّا جَاءَ ، قَالَ : أَيْنَ كُنْتَ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ؟ قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّكَ لَقِيتَنِي وَأَنَا جُنُبٌ ، فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ أُجَالِسَكَ حَتَّى أَغْتَسِلَ ، فَقَالَ : " سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ لَا يَنْجُسُ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) met him in one of the streets of Al-Madinah while he was Junub, so he slipped away from him and performed Ghusl. The Prophet (ﷺ) noticed he was not there, and when he came he said:` 'Where were you, O Abu Hurairah?' He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, you met us but I was Junub, and I did not want to sit in your presence until I had performed Ghusl.' He said: 'Subhan Allah! The believer is not made impure (Najis).'"
Hadith 310
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ مِهْرَانَ ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يَبْزُقْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ ، وَلَكِنْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ ، وَإِلَّا فَبَزَقَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَكَذَا فِي ثَوْبِهِ وَدَلَكَهُ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` "When any one of you prays, let him not spit in front of him or to his right, rather let him spit to his left or beneath his feet." Then the Prophet (ﷺ) spat like this on his garment and rubbed it.
Hadith 339
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ خِلَاسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا وَلَغَ الْكَلْبُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ ، فَلْيَغْسِلْهُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ أُولَاهُنَّ بِالتُّرَابِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "If a dog licks the vessel of any one of you, let him wash it seven times, the first time with dust."
Hadith 467
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبٌ يَعْنِي بْنِ زِيَادِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ ، قال : كَتَبَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ عَنْهُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَوَّامِ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَا يُحَاسَبُ بِهِ الْعَبْدُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ صَلَاتُهُ ، فَإِنْ وُجِدَتْ تَامَّةً كُتِبَتْ تَامَّةً ، وَإِنْ كَانَ انْتُقِصَ مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ ، قَالَ : انْظُرُوا ، هَلْ تَجِدُونَ لَهُ مِنْ تَطَوُّعٍ يُكَمِّلُ لَهُ مَا ضَيَّعَ مِنْ فَرِيضَةٍ مِنْ تَطَوُّعِهِ ؟ ثُمَّ سَائِرُ الْأَعْمَالِ تَجْرِي عَلَى حَسَبِ ذَلِكَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` "The first thing for which a person will be brought to account on the Day of Resurrection will be his Salah. If it is found to be complete then it will be recorded as complete, and if anything is lacking He will say: 'Look and see if you can find any voluntary prayers with which to complete what he neglected of his obligatory prayers.' Then the rest of his deeds will be reckoned in like manner."
Hadith 969
أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَخْضَرَ ، عَنِ التَّيْمِيِّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي بَكْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، قال : " صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ يَعْنِي الْعَتَمَةَ فَقَرَأَ سُورَةَ إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ فَسَجَدَ فِيهَا فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ قُلْتُ : يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ هَذِهِ يَعْنِي سَجْدَةً مَا كُنَّا نَسْجُدُهَا " قَالَ : سَجَدَ بِهَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا خَلْفَهُ فَلَا أَزَالُ أَسْجُدُ بِهَا حَتَّى أَلْقَى أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Rafi' said:` "I prayed Isha' prayer- meaning Al-'Atamah behind Abu Hurairah and he recited: 'When the heaven is split asunder' and prostrated during it. When he had finished praying, I said: 'O Abu Hurairah, (this is) a prostration that we are not used to.' He said: 'Abu Al-Qasim (ﷺ) did this prostration and I was (praying) behind him, and I will continue to do this prostration until I meet Abu Al-Qasim.
Hadith 5708
أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ , قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ , عَنْ السَّرِيِّ بْنِ يَحْيَى , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَفْصٍ إِمَامٌ لَنَا وَكَانَ مِنْ أَسْنَانِ الْحَسَنِ , عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ , أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ , قَالَ : " إِذَا خَشِيتُمْ مِنْ نَبِيذٍ شِدَّتَهُ , فَاكْسِرُوهُ بِالْمَاءِ " , قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : " مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَشْتَدَّ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Rafi' that :` 'Umar bin Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "If you fear that Nabidh may be too strong, then weaken it with water." 'Abdullah (one of the narrators) said: "Before it gets strong."
