Hadith 233
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ ، أَمْلَاهُ عَلَيْنَا ، حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، وَعَنْ رَجُلٍ آخَرَ هُوَ أَفْضَلُ فِي نَفْسِي مِنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، قَالَ : خَطَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ فَقَالَ : " لِيُبَلِّغِ الشَّاهِدُ الْغَائِبَ ، فَإِنَّهُ رُبَّ مُبَلَّغٍ يَبْلُغُهُ أَوْعَى لَهُ مِنْ سَامِعٍ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Bakrah said:` "The Messenger of Allah delivered a religious speech on the Day of Sacrifice and said: 'Let those who are present convey to those who are absent. For perhaps the one to whom it is conveyed will understand it better than the one who (first) hears it.'"
Hadith 274
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَقِيلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْخَلِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ صَلَاةً بِغَيْرِ طُهُورٍ ، وَلَا صَدَقَةً مِنْ غُلُولٍ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Bakrah said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah does not accept any Salat (prayer) without purification, and He does not accept any charity from Ghulul.'"
Hadith 349
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ شَيْبَانَ ، حَدَّثَنِي بَحْرُ بْنُ مَرَّارٍ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، قَالَ : مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَبْرَيْنِ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّهُمَا لَيُعَذَّبَانِ ، وَمَا يُعَذَّبَانِ فِي كَبِيرٍ ، أَمَّا أَحَدُهُمَا فَيُعَذَّبُ فِي الْبَوْلِ ، وَأَمَّا الْآخَرُ فَيُعَذَّبُ فِي الْغَيْبَةِ " .
´Bahr bin Marrar narrated that his grandfather Abu Bakrah said:` "The Messenger of Allah passed by two graves, and he said: 'They are being punished but they are not being punished for anything major. One of them is being punished because of urine, and the other is being punished because of backbiting.'"
Hadith 556
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، وَبِشْرُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ الصَّوَّافُ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْمُهَاجِرُ أَبُو مَخْلَدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَّهُ رَخَّصَ لِلْمُسَافِرِ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ وَلَبِسَ خُفَّيْهِ ، ثُمَّ أَحْدَثَ وُضُوءًا أَنْ يَمْسَحَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيَهُنَّ ، وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمًا وَلَيْلَةً " .
´It was narrated from 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakrah, from his father, that:` The Prophet granted a concession to travelers: "If a traveler performed ablution and put on leather socks, then he performed a fresh ablution, he could wipe over the leather socks for three days and nights; the resident could do so for one day and one night."
Hadith 1394
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ السُّلَمِيُّ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ بَكَّارِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَ إِذَا أَتَاهُ أَمْرٌ يَسُرُّهُ أَوْ بُشِّرَ بِهِ ، خَرَّ سَاجِدًا شُكْرًا لِلَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى " .
It was narrated from Abu Bakrah that when the Prophet (ﷺ) heard news that made him happy, or for which one should be happy, he would fall down prostrate in gratitude to Allah, the Blessed and Exalted.
Hadith 1659
حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " شَهْرَا عِيدٍ لَا يَنْقُصَانِ رَمَضَانُ ، وَذُو الْحِجَّةِ " .
´It was narrated that from ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakrah, from his father, that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “Two months of ‘Eid whose reward cannot be reduced (even if they are twenty-nine days): ‘Ramadan and Dhul-Hijjah.”
Hadith 2316
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يَقْضِي الْقَاضِي بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ وَهُوَ غَضْبَانُ " ، قَالَ هِشَامٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : لَا يَنْبَغِي لِلْحَاكِمِ أَنْ يَقْضِيَ بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ وَهُوَ غَضْبَانُ .
´It was narrated from 'Abdul-Malik bin 'Umair that he heard 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakrah (narrate) from his father that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Let the judge (Qadi) not pass a judgment when he is angry.”
Hadith 2610
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَعْدًا وَأَبَا بَكْرَةَ وَكُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعَتْ أُذُنَايَ وَوَعَى قَلْبِي مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَنِ ادَّعَى إِلَى غَيْرِ أَبِيهِ وَهُوَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ غَيْرُ أَبِيهِ فَالْجَنَّةُ عَلَيْهِ حَرَامٌ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Uthman Nahdi said:` “I heard Sa'd and Abu Bakrah both say that they heard directly from Muhammad (ﷺ) saying it and memorized: 'Whoever claims to belong to someone other than his father knowing the he is not his father, Paradise will be forbidden to him.”
Hadith 2668
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُسْتَمِرِّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُرُّ بْنُ مَالِكٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا قَوَدَ إِلَّا بِالسَّيْفِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Bakrah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “There is no retaliation except with the sword.”
Hadith 3744
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ , حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ , عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ , عن عكرمة ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , قَالَ : مَدَحَ رَجُلٌ رَجُلًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَيْحَكَ قَطَعْتَ عُنُقَ صَاحِبِكَ مِرَارًا " , ثُمَّ قَالَ : " إِنْ كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ مَادِحًا أَخَاهُ , فَلْيَقُلْ أَحْسِبُهُ , وَلَا أُزَكِّي عَلَى اللَّهِ أَحَدًا " .
´It was narrated from Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakrah that his father said:` "A man praised another man in the presence of Messenger of Allah(ﷺ). The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said: 'Woe to you,you have cut the neck of your companion,'several times. Then he said: 'If anyone of you praises his brother, let him say: "I think he is lie this, but I do not sanctify anyone before Allah."
Hadith 3965
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ , حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ , عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ , عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ , عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " إِذَا الْمُسْلِمَانِ حَمَلَ أَحَدُهُمَا عَلَى أَخِيهِ السِّلَاحَ فَهُمَا عَلَى جُرُفِ جَهَنَّمَ , فَإِذَا قَتَلَ أَحَدُهُمَا صَاحِبَهُ دَخَلَاهَا جَمِيعًا " .
´It was narrated from Abu Bakrah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “When one Muslim wields his weapon against his brother, both of them are at the edge of Hell, and if one of them kills the other, they will both enter it.”
Hadith 4184
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ مُوسَى , حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ , عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ , عَنْ الْحَسَنِ , عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْحَيَاءُ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ , وَالْإِيمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ , وَالْبَذَاءُ مِنَ الْجَفَاءِ , وَالْجَفَاءُ فِي النَّارِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Bakrah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Modesty is part of faith, and faith will be in Paradise. Obscenity in speech is part of harshness and harshness will be in Hell.’”
Hadith 4211
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ , أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ , وَابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ , عَنْ عُيَيْنَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا مِنْ ذَنْبٍ أَجْدَرُ أَنْ يُعَجِّلَ اللَّهُ لِصَاحِبِهِ الْعُقُوبَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا , مَعَ مَا يَدَّخِرُ لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ , مِنَ الْبَغْيِ وَقَطِيعَةِ الرَّحِمِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Bakrah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “There is no sin more deserving that Allah hasten the punishment in this world, in addition to what is stored up for him in the Hereafter – than injustice and severing the ties of kinship.”
