Hadith 62
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي مَيْمُونَةُ، قَالَتْ : " كُنْتُ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَهُوَ قَوْلُ عَامَّةِ الْفُقَهَاءِ : أَنْ لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ الرَّجُلُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ . قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عَلِيٍّ , وَعَائِشَةَ , وَأَنَسٍ , وَأُمِّ هَانِئٍ , وَأُمِّ صُبَيَّةَ الْجُهَنِيَّةِ , وَأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ , وَابْنِ عُمَرَ . قال أبو عيسى : وَأَبُو الشَّعْثَاءِ اسْمُهُ : جَابِرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ .
´Maimunah said:` "I and Allah's Messenger would perform Ghusl for Janabah from one vessel."
Hadith 103
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ خَالَتِهِ مَيْمُونَةَ، قَالَتْ : " وَضَعْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غُسْلًا ، فَاغْتَسَلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ ، فَأَكْفَأَ الْإِنَاءَ بِشِمَالِهِ عَلَى يَمِينِهِ ، فَغَسَلَ كَفَّيْهِ ثُمَّ أَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ فَأَفَاضَ عَلَى فَرْجِهِ ، ثُمَّ دَلَكَ بِيَدِهِ الْحَائِطَ أَوِ الْأَرْضَ ، ثُمَّ مَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَذِرَاعَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ أَفَاضَ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ثَلَاثًا ، ثُمَّ أَفَاضَ عَلَى سَائِرِ جَسَدِهِ ، ثُمَّ تَنَحَّى فَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، وَجَابِرٍ , وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ , وَجُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ , وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ .
´Ibn 'Abbas narrated that his maternal aunt Maimunah said:` "I prepared some water for the Prophet to perform Ghusl for Janabah with. So he turned the vessel with his left hand, (pouring some water) over his right. Then he washed his hands. Then he entered his hand into the vessel to pour water over his private area, then he rubbed his hands on the wall, or the ground. Then he rinsed out his mouth and washed his nose by putting water in and blowing it out, and washed his face and forearms. Then he poured water over his head three times, then he poured water over the remainder of his body, then he moved from where he was and washed his feet."
Hadith 841
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ مَطَرٍ الْوَرَّاقِ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، قَالَ : " تَزَوَّجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَيْمُونَةَ وَهُوَ حَلَالٌ ، وَبَنَى بِهَا وَهُوَ حَلَالٌ ، وَكُنْتُ أَنَا الرَّسُولَ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ". قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا أَسْنَدَهُ غَيْرَ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ مَطَرٍ الْوَرَّاقِ ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ ، وَرَوَى مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " تَزَوَّجَ مَيْمُونَةَ ، وَهُوَ حَلَالٌ " رَوَاهُ مَالِكٌ مُرْسَلًا ، قَالَ : وَرَوَاهُ أَيْضًا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ مُرْسَلًا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَرُوِي عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ، قَالَتْ : " تَزَوَّجَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَهُوَ حَلَالٌ " . وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ الْأَصَمِّ هُوَ ابْنُ أُخْتِ مَيْمُونَةَ .
´Abu Rafi narrated:` "The Messenger of Allah married Maimunah while he was Halal, and he stayed with her while he was Halal, and I was the messenger between the two of them."
Hadith 845
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، قَال : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا فَزَارَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " تَزَوَّجَهَا وَهُوَ حَلَالٌ ، وَبَنَى بِهَا حَلَالًا ، وَمَاتَتْ بِسَرِفَ ، وَدَفَنَّاهَا فِي الظُّلَّةِ الَّتِي بَنَى بِهَا فِيهَا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ ، وَرَوَى غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ مُرْسَلًا ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " تَزَوَّجَ مَيْمُونَةَ وَهُوَ حَلَالٌ " .
´Yazid bin Al-Asamm narrated about Maimunah:` "The Messenger of Allah married he while he was Halal and he stayed with her while he was Halal. She died in Sarif, and we buried her at the (site of the) tent where he had stayed wit her."
Hadith 1798
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، وَأَبُو عَمَّارٍ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ، أَنَّ فَأْرَةً وَقَعَتْ فِي سَمْنٍ فَمَاتَتْ فَسُئِلَ عَنْهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " أَلْقُوهَا وَمَا حَوْلَهَا وَكُلُوهُ " ، قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرُوا فِيهِ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ وَحَدِيثُ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ أَصَحُّ وَرَوَى مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ وَهُوَ حَدِيثٌ غَيْرُ مَحْفُوظٍ قَالَ : وسَمِعْت مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْمَاعِيل يَقُولُ : وَحَدِيثُ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَذَكَرَ فِيهِ أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ : " إِذَا كَانَ جَامِدًا فَأَلْقُوهَا وَمَا حَوْلَهَا وَإِنْ كَانَ مَائِعًا فَلَا تَقْرَبُوهُ " هَذَا خَطَأٌ أَخْطَأَ فِيهِ مَعْمَرٌ ، قَالَ : وَالصَّحِيحُ حَدِيثُ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ .
Narrated from Umm al-Mu’minin Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) that a mouse fell into ghee and died. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about it, so he said: “Throw it and whatever fat is around it away 1, and eat the (remaining) ghee.” © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is Hasan Sahih.
2- This hadith has also come through this chain «الزهري عن عبيد الله عن ابن عباس أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم», the narrators have not mentioned the intermediary of «عن میمونة» in it.
3- The hadith of Ibn Abbas through the intermediary of Maymunah is more authentic.
4- Mu’ammar has narrated a similar hadith through: «الزهري ، عن ابن أبي هريرة ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم», this hadith (chain) is not preserved. I heard Muhammad bin Isma’il Bukhari say that the hadith of Mu’ammar which he narrates from the chain of «عن الزهري عن سعيد ابن المسيب عن أبي هريرة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم» that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about it, so he said: “When the ghee is solid, throw away the mouse and the ghee around it, and if it is melted, do not go near it”—this is a mistake; Mu’ammar erred in this. The correct hadith is that of Zuhri which has come through the chain of «عن عبيد الله عن ابن عباس عن ميمونة» 2.
5- In this chapter, there is also a narration from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him).
