Hadith 997
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ قَيْسٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " فَكَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ ، وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ " .
Narrated Wail ibn Hujr: I offered prayer along with the Prophet ﷺ. He would give the salutation to his right side (saying): Peace be upon you and mercy of Allah; and to his left side (saying): Peace be upon you and mercy of Allah.
Hadith 5035
حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ رَفَعَ الْحَدِيثَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَعْنَاهُ ، قَالَ أبو داود : رَوَاهُ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Abu Hurairah through a different chain from the prophet ﷺ. A transmitter Saeed bin Saeed said: I know him that he traced this tradition back to the prophet ﷺ. Abu Dawud said: Abu Nuaim transmitted it from Musa bin Qais, from Muhammad bin Ajlan, from Saeed, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, from the prophet ﷺ.
