Hadith 1408
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ الْأَنْمَاطِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ السَّيْبَانِيِّ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الدَّيْلَمِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَمَّا فَرَغَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ مِنْ بِنَاءِ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ ، سَأَلَ اللَّهَ ثَلَاثًا : حُكْمًا يُصَادِفُ حُكْمَهُ ، وَمُلْكًا لَا يَنْبَغِي لَأَحَدٍ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ ، وَأَلَّا يَأْتِيَ هَذَا الْمَسْجِدَ أَحَدٌ لَا يُرِيدُ إِلَّا الصَّلَاةَ فِيهِ إِلَّا خَرَجَ مِنْ ذُنُوبِهِ كَيَوْمِ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ " ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمَّا اثْنَتَانِ فَقَدْ أُعْطِيَهُمَا ، وَأَرْجُو أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدْ أُعْطِيَ الثَّالِثَةَ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “When Sulaiman bin Dawud finished building Baitil-Maqdis, he asked Allah for three things: judgment that was in harmony with His judgment, a dominion that no one after him would have, and that no one should come to this mosque, intending only to pray there, but he would emerge free of sin as the day his mother bore him.” The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Two prayers were granted, and I hope that the third was also granted.”
Hadith 2043
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْهُذَلِيُّ ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ الْغِفَارِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَجَاوَزَ عَنْ أُمَّتِي الْخَطَأَ وَالنِّسْيَانَ وَمَا اسْتُكْرِهُوا عَلَيْهِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Dharr Al-Ghifari that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` Allah has forgiven for me my nation their mistakes and forgetfulness, and what they are forced to do."
Hadith 2401
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ الْأَنْمَاطِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أُودِعَ وَدِيعَةً فَلَا ضَمَانَ عَلَيْهِ " .
´It was narrated from 'Amr bin Shu'aib, from his father, that his grandfather said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Whoever is entrusted with an item for safekeeping, is not responsible for it (so long as he is not negligent).' ”
Hadith 2881
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ أَنَّ جُبَيْرَ بْنَ مُطْعِمٍ ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ جَاءَ هُوَ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُكَلِّمَانِهِ ، فِيمَا قَسَمَ مِنْ خُمُسِ خَيْبَرَ لِبَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، وَبَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ ، فَقَالَا : قَسَمْتَ لِإِخْوَانِنَا بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، وَبَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ ، وَقَرَابَتُنَا وَاحِدَةٌ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّمَا أَرَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، وَبَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ شَيْئًا وَاحِدًا " .
´It was narrated from Sa’eed bin Musayyab that Jubair bin Mut’im told him that he and ‘Uthman bin ‘Affan came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to speak to him about the way in which the one fifth from Khaibar had been distributed to Banu Hashim and Banu Muttalib. They said:` “You have distributed it to our brothers Banu Hashim and Banu Muttalib, but we are related to you (to Banu Hashim) in the same way (as Banu Muttalib).” The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Rather I think that Banu Hashim and Banu Muttalib are the same.”*
Hadith 4118
حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ , حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ , عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْحَارِثِيِّ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْبَذَاذَةُ مِنَ الْإِيمَان " , قَالَ : الْبَذَاذَةُ الْقَشَافَةُ يَعْنِي : التَّقَشُّفَ .
´It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin Abi Umamah Al-Harithi that his father said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Simplicity is part of faith.’”
