Hadith 357
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَزَلَتْ فِي أَهْلِ قُبَاءَ فِيهِ رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَتَطَهَّرُوا وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُطَّهِّرِينَ سورة التوبة آية 108 قَالَ : " كَانُوا يَسْتَنْجُونَ بِالْمَاءِ ، فَنَزَلَتْ فِيهِمْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'The (following) was revealed about the people of Quba': 'In it (the mosque) are men who love to clean and purify themselves. And Allah loves those who make themselves clean and pure.'" He said: 'They used to clean themselves with water (after urinating), and this Verse was revealed concerning them.'"
Hadith 676
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ خِشْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : " شَكَوْنَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَرَّ الرَّمْضَاءِ فَلَمْ يُشْكِنَا " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud said:` "We complained to the Messenger of Allah about the heat of the sunbaked ground, but he did not respond to our complaint."
Hadith 1005
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى مَيَامِنِ الصُّفُوفِ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Allah and His angels send blessings upon the right side of the rows.’”
Hadith 1536
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ حُمْرَانَ بْنِ أَعْيَنَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ ، عَنْ مُجَمِّعِ بْنِ جَارِيَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشِيَّ قَدْ مَاتَ ، فَقُومُوا فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ " فَصَفَّنَا خَلْفَهُ صَفَّيْنِ .
´It was narrated from Mujammi’ bin Jariyah Al-Ansari that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Your brother Najashi has died, so stand and pray for him.” So we formed two rows behind him.
Hadith 2332M
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عِيسَى ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ حَرَامِ بْنِ مُحَيِّصَةَ ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، أَنَّ نَاقَةً لِآلِ الْبَرَاءِ أَفْسَدَتْ شَيْئًا فَقَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ .
It is narrated from Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with them) that a she-camel belonging to the family of Bara’ caused damage to someone, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that compensation equal to the damage be returned.
Hadith 3068
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ زُرَيْقٍ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " ادَّلَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ النَّفْرِ مِنْ الْبَطْحَاءِ ادِّلَاجًا " .
´It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:` “The Prophet (ﷺ) set out before daybreak, on the night of departure, from Batha’.”
Hadith 3233
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ ، وَإِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ أَبِي حَكِيمٍ ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَكْلُ كُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ حَرَامٌ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “Eating any predatory animal that has fangs is unlawful.”
Hadith 3506
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ , حَدَّثَنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ رُزَيْقٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عِيسَى , عَنْ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ هِنْدٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " الْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amir bin Rabi’ah, from his father, that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “The evil eye is real.”
Hadith 3516
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ , حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ , عَنْ عَاصِمٍ , عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ , عَنْ أَنَسٍ , أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " رَخَّصَ فِي الرُّقْيَةِ مِنَ الْحُمَةِ , وَالْعَيْنِ وَالنَّمْلَةِ " .
It was narrated from Anas that the Prophet (ﷺ) allowed Ruqyah for the scorpion’s sting, the evil eye, and Namlah (sores or small pustules ulcers or sores on a person’s sides).
Hadith 3636
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ , وَسُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ , عَنْ سُفْيَانَ , عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ , قَالَ : رَآنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلِي شَعَرٌ طَوِيلٌ , فَقَالَ : " ذُبَابٌ ذُبَابٌ " , فَانْطَلَقْتُ فَأَخَذْتُهُ , فَرَآنِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ : " إِنِّي لَمْ أَعْنِكَ وَهَذَا أَحْسَنُ " .
´It was narrated that Wa’il bin Hujr said:` “The Prophet (ﷺ) saw me when I had long hair. He said: ‘Bad news, bad news!’ So I went away and cut it short. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) saw me and said: ‘I did not mean you, but this is better.’”
Hadith 3879
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ , أَنْبَأَنَا شَيْبَانُ , عَنْ يَحْيَى , عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ , أَنَّ رَبِيعَةَ بْنَ كَعْبٍ الْأَسْلَمِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ , أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَبِيتُ عِنْدَ بَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَكَانَ يَسْمَعُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُول مِنَ اللَّيْلِ : " سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ " الْهَوِيَّ , ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : " سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ " .
´Rabi’ah bin Ka’b Al-Aslami narrated that he used to spend the night outside the door of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and he used to hear the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying at night:` “Subhan Allahi Rabbil-‘alamin (Glory is to Allah, the Lord of the worlds),” repeating that for a while, then he said: Subhan Allahi wa bihamdihi (Glory and praise is to Allah).”
Hadith 3923
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ , حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ صَالِحٍ , عَنْ سِمَاكٍ , عَنْ قَابُوسَ , قَالَ : قَالَت أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , رَأَيْتُ كَأَنَّ فِي بَيْتِي عُضْوًا مِنْ أَعْضَائِكَ , قَالَ : " خَيْرًا رَأَيْتِ , تَلِدُ فَاطِمَةُ غُلَامًا فَتُرْضِعِيهِ " , فَوَلَدَتْ حُسَيْنًا , أَوْ حَسَنًا , فَأَرْضَعَتْهُ بِلَبَنِ قُثَمٍ , قَالَتْ : فَجِئْتُ بِهِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَوَضَعْتُهُ فِي حَجْرِهِ , فَبَالَ فَضَرَبْتُ كَتِفَهُ , فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَوْجَعْتِ ابْنِي رَحِمَكِ اللَّهُ " .
´It was narrated that Qabus said:` “Umm Fadl said: ‘O Messenger of Allah! It is as if I saw (in a dream) one of your limbs in my house.’ He said: ‘What you have seen is good. Fatimah will give birth to a boy and you will breastfeed him.’ Fatimah gave birth to Husain or Hasan, and I breastfed him with the milk of Qutham.’ She said: ‘I brought him to the Prophet (ﷺ) and placed him in his lap, and he urinated, so I struck him on the shoulder.” The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “You have hurt my son, may Allah have mercy on you.”
Hadith 4004
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ a> , عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ , عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ , عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ , عَنْ عُرْوَةَ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُولُ : " مُرُوا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ , وَانْهَوْا عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ , قَبْلَ أَنْ تَدْعُوا فَلَا يُسْتَجَابَ لَكُمْ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:` “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil, before you call and you are not answered.’”
Hadith 4082
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ , حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ صَالِحٍ , عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ , عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , إِذْ أَقْبَلَ فِتْيَةٌ مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ , فَلَمَّا رَآهُمُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اغْرَوْرَقَتْ عَيْنَاهُ وَتَغَيَّرَ لَوْنُهُ , قَالَ : فَقُلْتُ : مَا نَزَالُ نَرَى فِي وَجْهِكَ شَيْئًا نَكْرَهُهُ , فَقَالَ : " إِنَّا أَهْلُ بَيْتٍ , اخْتَارَ اللَّهُ لَنَا الْآخِرَةَ عَلَى الدُّنْيَا , وَإِنَّ أَهْلَ بَيْتِي سَيَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي بَلَاءً وَتَشْرِيدًا وَتَطْرِيدًا , حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ قَوْمٌ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَشْرِقِ مَعَهُمْ رَايَاتٌ سُودٌ , فَيَسْأَلُونَ الْخَيْرَ فَلَا يُعْطَوْنَهُ , فَيُقَاتِلُونَ فَيُنْصَرُونَ , فَيُعْطَوْنَ مَا سَأَلُوا , فَلَا يَقْبَلُونَهُ حَتَّى يَدْفَعُوهَا إِلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي فَيَمْلَؤُهَا قِسْطًا كَمَا مَلَئُوهَا جَوْرًا , فَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ ذَلِكَ مِنْكُمْ فَلْيَأْتِهِمْ وَلَوْ حَبْوًا عَلَى الثَّلْجِ " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah said:` "While we were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), some youngsters from Banu Hashim came along. When the Prophet (ﷺ) saw them, his eyes filled with tears and his color changed. I said: 'We still see something in your face that we do not like (to see).' He said: 'We are members of a Household for whom Allah has chosen the Hereafter over this world. The people of my Household will face calamity, expulsion and exile after I am gone, until some people will come from the east carrying black banners. They will ask for something good but will not be given it. Then they will fight and will be victorious, then they will be given what they wanted, but they will not accept it and will give leadership to a man from my family. Then they will fill it with justice just as it was filled with injustice. Whoever among you lives to see that, let him go to them even if he has to crawl over snow.'"
