Hadith 1551
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَ إِذَا ظَهَرَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ ، أَقَامَ بِعَرْصَتِهِمْ ثَلَاثًا " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَحَدِيثُ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَقَدْ رَخَّصَ قَوْمٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ فِي الْغَارَةِ بِاللَّيْلِ وَأَنْ يُبَيِّتُوا ، وَكَرِهَهُ بَعْضُهُمْ ، وقَالَ أَحْمَدُ ، وَإِسْحَاق : لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يُبَيَّتَ الْعَدُوُّ لَيْلًا ، وَمَعْنَى قَوْلِهِ وَافَقَ مُحَمَّدٌ الْخَمِيسَ ، يَعْنِي بِهِ : الْجَيْشَ .
´Narrated Abu Talhah:` "When the Prophet (ﷺ) overtook a people he would stay at the outskirts of their city for three nights."
Hadith 2610
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، عَنْ كَهْمَسٍ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ بِمَعْنَاهُ ، وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، وَأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، قَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ نَحْوُ هَذَا ، عَنْ عُمَرَ ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَالصَّحِيحُ هُوَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ , عَنْ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ .
‘Through this chain as well,’ a similar hadith is narrated from Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is hasan sahih. Through multiple chains, it is also narrated in a similar way from Ibn Umar,
3- Sometimes it has happened that this hadith has come through Ibn Umar, and he narrated it from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), but the correct version is that Ibn Umar narrates from Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him),
2- In this chapter, hadiths have also been reported from Talhah bin Ubaidullah, Anas bin Malik, and Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with them).

Hadith 2794
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ، عَوْرَاتُنَا مَا نَأْتِي مِنْهَا وَمَا نَذَرُ ؟ قَالَ : " احْفَظْ عَوْرَتَكَ إِلَّا مِنْ زَوْجَتِكَ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ يَمِينُكَ " ، قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِذَا كَانَ الْقَوْمُ بَعْضُهُمْ فِي بَعْضٍ ؟ قَالَ : " إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ لَا يَرَاهَا أَحَدٌ فَلَا يَرَاهَا " ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ، إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُنَا خَالِيًا ؟ قَالَ : " فَاللَّهُ أَحَقُّ أَنْ يُسْتَحْيَا مِنْهُ مِنَ النَّاسِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .
´Narrated Bahz bin Hakim:` from his father, from his grandfather, who said: "I said: 'O Prophet of Allah! Regarding our 'Awrah, what of it must we cover and what of it may we leave?' He said: 'Protect your 'Awrah except from your wife or what your right hand possesses.' He said: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! What about when some people are with others?' He said: 'If you are able to not let anyone see it then do not let them see it.'" He said: "I said: 'O Prophet of Allah! What about when one of us is alone?' He said: 'Allah is more deserving of being shy from Him than the people.'"
Hadith 3074
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الْوَرَّاقُ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، نَحْوَهُ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .
Through this chain, Mu'adh, from Hammad bin Salamah, from Thabit, and Thabit from Anas, narrated from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) a similar hadith. © Imam Tirmidhi says:
This hadith is Hasan.

Hadith 3522
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، عَنْ أَبِي كَعْبٍ صَاحِبِ الْحَرِيرِ، حَدَّثَنِي شَهْرُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ : يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، مَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُ دُعَاءِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ عِنْدَكِ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ أَكْثَرُ دُعَائِهِ : " يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ " ، قَالَتْ : فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا لأَكْثَرِ دُعَاءَكَ يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ ؟ قَالَ : يَا أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ : " إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ آدَمِيٌّ إِلَّا وَقَلْبُهُ بَيْنَ أُصْبُعَيْنِ مِنْ أَصَابِعِ اللَّهِ فَمَنْ شَاءَ أَقَامَ وَمَنْ شَاءَ أَزَاغَ " ، فَتَلَا مُعَاذٌ : رَبَّنَا لا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا سورة آل عمران آية 8 ، قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَابِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، وَالنَّوَّاسِ بْنِ سَمْعَانَ ، وَأَنَسٍ ، وَجَابِرٍ ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، وَنُعَيْمِ بْنِ هَمَّارٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .
´Shahr bin Hawshab said:` “I said to Umm Salamah: ‘O Mother of the Believers! What was the supplication that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said most frequently when he was with you?” She said: ‘The supplication he said most frequently was: “O Changer of the hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion (Yā Muqallibal-qulūb, thabbit qalbī `alā dīnik).’” She said: ‘So I said: “O Messenger of Allah, why do you supplicate so frequently: ‘O Changer of the hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion.’ He said: ‘O Umm Salamah! Verily, there is no human being except that his heart is between Two Fingers of the Fingers of Allah, so whomsoever He wills He makes steadfast, and whomever He wills He causes to deviate.’”
