Hadith 23
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ الْبَطِينُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ ، قَالَ : " مَا أَخْطَأَنِي ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ عَشِيَّةَ خَمِيسٍ إِلَّا أَتَيْتُهُ فِيهِ ، قَالَ : فَمَا سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ لِشَيْءٍ قَطُّ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : فَلَمَّا كَانَ ذَاتَ عَشِيَّةٍ ، قَالَ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : فَنَكَسَ ، فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَهُوَ قَائِمٌ مُحَلَّلَةً أَزْرَارُ قَمِيصِهِ ، قَدِ اغْرَوْرَقَتْ عَيْنَاهُ ، وَانْتَفَخَتْ أَوْدَاجُهُ " ، قَالَ : أَوْ دُونَ ذَلِكَ ، أَوْ فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ ، أَوْ قَرِيبًا مِنْ ذَلِكَ ، أَوْ شَبِيهًا بِذَلِكَ .
´Amr bin Maimun said :` "I used to visit Ibn Mas'ud every Thursday afternoon but he never uttered the words: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said.' Then one evening, he said: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,' then he let his head hang down." He said: "I looked at him and saw his shirt was unfastened; his eyes were filled with tears, and his veins were bulging out (with fear). He said:' Or more than that, or less than that, or close to that or something similar.'"
Hadith 24
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ إِذَا حَدَّثَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدِيثًا فَفَرَغَ مِنْهُ قَالَ : أَوْ كَمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
´Muhammad bin Sirin said :` "Whenever Anas bin Malik finished narrating a Hadith from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), he would say, 'Or as the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said.'"
Hadith 1228
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِاللَّيْلِ ، فَقَالَتْ : " كَانَ يُصَلِّي لَيْلًا طَوِيلًا قَائِمًا ، وَلَيْلًا طَوِيلًا قَاعِدًا ، فَإِذَا قَرَأَ قَائِمًا رَكَعَ قَائِمًا ، وَإِذَا قَرَأَ قَاعِدًا رَكَعَ قَاعِدًا " .
´It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin Shaqiq Al-‘Uqaili said:` “I asked ‘Aishah about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) at night. She said: ‘He used to pray for a long time at night standing up, and for a long time at night sitting down. If he prayed standing, he would bow standing, and if he prayed sitting, he would bow sitting.’”
Hadith 1879
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ لَمْ يُنْكِحْهَا الْوَلِيُّ فَنِكَاحُهَا بَاطِلٌ ، فَنِكَاحُهَا بَاطِلٌ ، فَنِكَاحُهَا بَاطِلٌ ، فَإِنْ أَصَابَهَا فَلَهَا مَهْرُهَا بِمَا أَصَابَ مِنْهَا ، فَإِنِ اشْتَجَرُوا فَالسُّلْطَانُ وَلِيُّ مَنْ لَا وَلِيَّ لَهُ " .
´It was narrated from Aishah that :` the Messenger of Allah said: “Any woman whose marriage is not arranged by her guardian, her marriage is invalid, her marriage is invalid, her marriage is invalid. If (the man) has had intercourse with her, then the Mahr belongs to her in return for his intimacy with her. And if there is any dispute then the ruler is the guardian of the one who does not have a guardian.”
Hadith 3125
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو رَمْلَةَ ، عَنْ مِخْنَفِ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا وَقُوفًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعَرَفَةَ ، فَقَالَ : " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ عَلَى كُلِّ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ أُضْحِيَّةً وَعَتِيرَةً ، أَتَدْرُونَ مَا الْعَتِيرَةُ ؟ هِيَ الَّتِي يُسَمِّيهَا النَّاسُ الرَّجَبِيَّةَ " .
´It was narrated that Mikhnaf bin Sulaim said:` “We were standing with the Prophet (ﷺ) at ‘Arafat and he said: ‘O people, each family, each year, must offer Udhiyah and ‘Atirah.’
Hadith 3891
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ , عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ , عَنْ عَطَاءٍ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , إِذَا رَأَى مَخِيلَةً , تَلَوَّنَ وَجْهُهُ وَتَغَيَّرَ , وَدَخَلَ وَخَرَجَ , وَأَقْبَلَ وَأَدْبَرَ , فَإِذَا أَمْطَرَتْ سُرِّيَ عَنْهُ , قَالَ : فَذَكَرَتْ لَهُ عَائِشَةُ بَعْضَ مَا رَأَتْ مِنْهُ , فَقَالَ : " وَمَا يُدْرِيكِ لَعَلَّهُ كَمَا قَالَ قَوْمُ هُودٍ : فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ عَارِضًا مُسْتَقْبِلَ أَوْدِيَتِهِمْ قَالُوا هَذَا عَارِضٌ مُمْطِرُنَا بَلْ هُوَ مَا اسْتَعْجَلْتُمْ بِهِ سورة الأحقاف آية 24 .
´It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:` “If the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saw a cloud that looked as if it was bringing rain, the color of his face would change, and he would go in and out and walk to and fro. Then, if it rained, he would feel relieved.” ‘Aishah mentioned to him what she had seen him do, and he said: “How do you know? Perhaps it would be as the people of Hud said: ‘Then, when they saw it as a dense cloud coming towards their valleys, they said: “This is a cloud bringing us rain!” Nay, but it is that (torment) which you were asking to be hastened.” [46:24]
