Hadith 365
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ ، قَال : سَمِعْتُ مُطَرِّفًا يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُغَفَّلِ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا وَلَغَ الْكَلْبُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ فَاغْسِلُوهُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ ، وَعَفِّرُوهُ الثَّامِنَةَ بِالتُّرَابِ " .
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Mughaffal that:` The Messenger of Allah said: 'If a dog licks a vessel, wash it seven times and rub it with dust the eight times."
Hadith 987
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ أَبِي الْعَاصِ ، يَقُولُ : كَانَ آخِرُ مَا عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ أَمَّرَنِي عَلَى الطَّائِفِ قَالَ لِي : " يَا عُثْمَانُ " تَجَاوَزْ فِي الصَّلَاةِ ، وَاقْدِرِ النَّاسَ بِأَضْعَفِهِمْ ، فَإِنَّ فِيهِمُ الْكَبِيرَ ، وَالصَّغِيرَ ، وَالسَّقِيمَ ، وَالْبَعِيدَ ، وَذَا الْحَاجَةِ " .
´It was narrated that Mutarrif bin ‘Abdullah bin Shikhkhir said:` “I heard ‘Uthman bin Abul-‘As say: “The last thing that the Prophet (ﷺ) enjoined on me when he appointed me governor of Ta’if was that he said: “O ‘Uthman! Be tolerable in prayer and estimate the people based upon the weakest among them, for among them are the elderly, the young, the sick, those who live far from the mosque, and those who have pressing needs.”
Hadith 1639
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، أَنَّ مُطَرِّفًا مِنْ بَنِي عَامِرِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ حَدَّثَهُ : أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ أَبِي الْعَاصِ الثَّقَفِيَّ ، دَعَا لَهُ بِلَبَنٍ يَسْقِيهِ ، فَقَالَ مُطَرِّفٌ : إِنِّي صَائِمٌ ، فَقَالَ عُثْمَانُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ مِنَ النَّارِ كَجُنَّةِ أَحَدِكُمْ مِنَ الْقِتَالِ " .
´Mutarrif, from the tribe of Banu ‘Amir bin Sa’sa’ah narrated that ‘Uthman bin Abul-‘As Ath-Thaqafi invited him to drink some milk that he poured for him. Mutarrif said:` “I am fasting.” ‘Uthman said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘Fasting is a shield against the Fire just like the shield of anyone of you against fighting.’”
Hadith 1705
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ صَامَ الْأَبَدَ فَلَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin Shikhkhir that his father said:` “The Prophet (ﷺ) said: ‘Whoever fasts continually, he neither fasts nor breaks his fast.’”
Hadith 2025
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ الصَّوَّافُ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الضُّبَعِيُّ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ الرِّشْكِ ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ ، أَنَّ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ الْحُصَيْنِ سُئِلَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ يُطَلِّقُ امْرَأَتَهُ ، ثُمَّ يَقَعُ بِهَا وَلَمْ يُشْهِدْ عَلَى طَلَاقِهَا وَلَا عَلَى رَجْعَتِهَا ؟ ، فَقَالَ عِمْرَانُ :" طَلَّقْتَ بِغَيْرِ سُنَّةٍ ، وَرَاجَعْتَ بِغَيْرِ سُنَّةٍ ، أَشْهِدْ عَلَى طَلَاقِهَا وَعَلَى رَجْعَتِهَا " .
´'Imran bin Husain:` was asked about a man who divorced his wife then had intercourse with her, and there were no witnesses to his divorcing her or his taking her back. 'Imran said: "You have divorced (her) in a manner that is not according to the Sunnah, and you have taken her back in a manner that is not according to the Sunnah. Bring people to witness your divorcing her and taking her back."
Hadith 2502
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ضَالَّةُ الْمُسْلِمِ حَرَقُ النَّارِ " .
´It was narrated from Mutarrif bin 'Abdullah bin Shikhkhir that his father said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'The lost animal of the Muslim may lead to the burning flame of Hell.' ”
Hadith 2505
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ حِمَارٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ وَجَدَ لُقَطَةً فَلْيُشْهِدْ ذَا عَدْلٍ أَوْ ذَوَيْ عَدْلٍ ، ثُمَّ لَا يُغَيِّرْهُ وَلَا يَكْتُمْ ، فَإِنْ جَاءَ رَبُّهَا ، فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهَا ، وَإِلَّا فَهُوَ مَالُ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ " .
´It was narrated from 'Iyad bin Himar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Whoever finds lost property, let him ask one or two men of good character to witness it, then he should not alter it nor conceal it. If its owner comes along, then he has more right to it, otherwise it belongs to Allah (SWT), Who gives it to whomsoever He wills.”
Hadith 2978
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ الْحُصَيْنِ " إِنِّي أُحَدِّثُكَ حَدِيثًا لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَنْفَعَكَ بِهِ بَعْدَ الْيَوْمِ ، اعْلَمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ اعْتَمَرَ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ فِي الْعَشْرِ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ ، وَلَمْ يَنْهَ عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلَمْ يَنْزِلْ نَسْخُهُ " ، قَالَ فِي ذَلِكَ : بَعْدُ رَجُلٌ بِرَأْيِهِ مَا شَاءَ أَنْ يَقُولَ .
´It was narrated that Mutarrif bin ‘Abdullah bin Shikhkhir said:` “Imran bin Husain said to me: ‘I will tell you a Hadith, that Allah may benefit you thereby after this day. Know that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) had a group from his family perform ‘Umrah during the ten (days) of Dhul-Hijjah, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not forbid that, and no abrogation of that was revealed, and it does not matter what anyone else suggests.’”
Hadith 3200
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُطَرِّفًا يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْكِلَابِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : مَا لَهُمْ وَلِلْكِلَابِ ، ثُمَّ رَخَّصَ لَهُمْ فِي كَلْبِ الصَّيْدِ .
´It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin Mughaffal that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded that dogs be killed, then he said:` “What do they use dogs for?” Then he permitted them to keep hunting dogs.
Hadith 3201
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُطَرِّفًا ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْكِلَابِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : مَا لَهُمْ وَلِلْكِلَابِ ، ثُمَّ رَخَّصَ لَهُمْ فِي كَلْبِ الزَّرْعِ ، وَكَلْبِ الْعِينِ " قَالَ بُنْدَارٌ : الْعِينُ : حِيطَانُ الْمَدِينَةِ .
´It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin Mughaffal that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded that dogs be killed, then he said:` “What do they use dogs for?” Then he permitted them to keep farming dogs and dogs of ‘Ein. Bundar said: “The ‘Ein refers to the walls of Al-Madinah.”
Hadith 4179
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنْ مَطَرٍ , عَنْ قَتَادَةَ , عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ , عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ حِمَارٍ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ خَطَبَهُمْ , فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَوْحَى إِلَيَّ : أَنْ تَوَاضَعُوا حَتَّى لَا يَفْخَرَ أَحَدٌ عَلَى أَحَدٍ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Iyad bin Himar that the Prophet (ﷺ) addressed them and said:` “Allah has revealed to me that you should be humble towards one another so that none of you boasts to another.”
