Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We chased a rabbit at the place of Mar al-Zahran. The companions ran after it, I caught it and seized it, then brought it to Abu Talha. He slaughtered it with a stone and gave me its thigh to take to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). So he ate it. The narrator Hisham bin Zaid says: I asked (the narrator of the hadith, his grandfather Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him): Did you eat it? He said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) accepted it. Imam Tirmidhi says:
