Hadith 1555
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْأَزْدِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، وَأَبُو عَمَّارٍ، وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " خَيْرُ الصَّحَابَةِ أَرْبَعَةٌ ، وَخَيْرُ السَّرَايَا أَرْبَعُ مِائَةٍ ، وَخَيْرُ الْجُيُوشِ أَرْبَعَةُ آلَافٍ ، وَلَا يُغْلَبُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفًا مِنْ قِلَّةٍ " ، هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ، لَا يُسْنِدُهُ كَبِيرُ أَحَدٍ غَيْرُ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ ، وَإِنَّمَا رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُرْسَلًا ، وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ حِبَّانُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْعَنَزِيُّ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَرَوَاهُ اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُرْسَلًا .
'Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The best companions are those whose number is four, and the best detachment is that whose number is four hundred, and the best army is that whose number is four thousand, and an Islamic army of twelve thousand will not be defeated due to small numbers." © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is Hasan Gharib,
2- Except for Jarir bin Hazim, no major hadith scholar has narrated this hadith with a connected chain; Zuhri has narrated it from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) as Mursal,
4- This hadith has been narrated by Hibban bin Ali Al-Anzi with the chain «عقيل عن الزهري عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله عن ابن عباس عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم», and also by Laith bin Sa'd with the chain «عقيل عن الزهري عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم» as Mursal.

Hadith 1977
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْأَزْدِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَيْسَ الْمُؤْمِنُ بِالطَّعَّانِ ، وَلَا اللَّعَّانِ ، وَلَا الْفَاحِشِ ، وَلَا الْبَذِيءِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .
´'Abdullah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:` "The believer does not insult the honor of others, nor curse, nor commit Fahishah, nor is he foul."
Hadith 2448
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْأَزْدِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدٌ الْخَثْعَمِيُّ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ الْخَثْعَمِيَّةِ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " بِئْسَ الْعَبْدُ عَبْدٌ تَخَيَّلَ ، وَاخْتَالَ وَنَسِيَ الْكَبِيرَ الْمُتَعَالِ ، بِئْسَ الْعَبْدُ عَبْدٌ تَجَبَّرَ وَاعْتَدَى وَنَسِيَ الْجَبَّارَ الْأَعْلَى ، بِئْسَ الْعَبْدُ عَبْدٌ سَهَا وَلَهَا وَنَسِيَ الْمَقَابِرَ وَالْبِلَى ، بِئْسَ الْعَبْدُ عَبْدٌ عَتَا وَطَغَى وَنَسِيَ الْمُبْتَدَا وَالْمُنْتَهَى ، بِئْسَ الْعَبْدُ عَبْدٌ يَخْتِلُ الدُّنْيَا بِالدِّينِ ، بِئْسَ الْعَبْدُ عَبْدٌ يَخْتِلُ الدِّينَ بِالشُّبُهَاتِ ، بِئْسَ الْعَبْدُ عَبْدٌ طَمَعٌ يَقُودُهُ ، بِئْسَ الْعَبْدُ عَبْدٌ هَوًى يُضِلُّهُ ، بِئْسَ الْعَبْدُ عَبْدٌ رَغَبٌ يُذِلُّهُ " , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَلَيْسَ إِسْنَادُهُ بِالْقَوِيِّ .
´Asma bint 'Umais Al-Khath'amiyyah narrated that The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:` "What an evil servant is the one who fancies himself and becomes vain forgetting the Most Great, the Most High. What an evil servant is the one who forces and behaves hostility, forgetting the Compeller, the Most High. What an evil servant is the one who is heedless and diverted, forgetting about the graves and the trials. What an evil servant is the one who is violent and tyrannical, forgetting his beginnings or his end. What an evil servant is the one who seeks the world through the religion. What an evil servant is the one who seeks the religion through his desires. What an evil servant is the one who puts all hope in his own zeal. What an evil servant is the worshipper who is misled by his desire. What an evil servant is the one whose aspirations humiliate him."
Hadith 3927
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْأَزْدِيُّ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَدْرٍ شُجَاعُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ قَابُوسَ بْنِ أَبِي ظَبْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا سَلْمَانُ ، لَا تَبْغَضْنِي فَتُفَارِقَ دِينَكَ " ، قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، كَيْفَ أَبْغَضُكَ وَبِكَ هَدَانَا اللَّهُ ؟ قَالَ : " تَبْغَضُ الْعَرَبَ فَتَبْغَضُنِي " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي بَدْرٍ شُجَاعِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ ، وسَمِعْت مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْمَاعِيل ، يَقُولُ : أَبُو ظَبْيَانَ لَمْ يُدْرِكْ سَلْمَانَ ، مَاتَ سَلْمَانُ قَبْلَ عَلِيٍّ .
´Narrated Salman:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me: 'O Salman! Do not detest me and thereby leave your religion.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! How could I detest you while Allah guided us by you.' He said: 'You will detest the Arabs and thereby detest me.'"
Hadith 3930
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْأَزْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ : حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ شَرِيكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَيَفِرَّنَّ النَّاسُ مِنَ الدَّجَّالِ حَتَّى يَلْحَقُوا بِالْجِبَالِ " ، قَالَتْ أُمُّ شَرِيكٍ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، فَأَيْنَ الْعَرَبُ يَوْمَئِذٍ ؟ قَالَ : " هُمْ قَلِيلٌ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ .
´Narrated Umm Sharik:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The people will flee from the Dajjal such that they will go to the mountains." Umm Sharik said: "O Messenger of Allah! Where will the Arabs be that day?" He said: "They will be few."
