Hadith 76
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ الرَّقِّيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَهُوَ الصَّادِقُ الْمَصْدُوقُ ، أَنَّهُ يُجْمَعُ خَلْقُ أَحَدِكُمْ فِي بَطْنِ أُمِّهِ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا ، ثُمَّ يَكُونُ عَلَقَةً مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ ، ثُمَّ يَكُونُ مُضْغَةً مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ ، ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ الْمَلَكَ فَيُؤْمَرُ بِأَرْبَعِ كَلِمَاتٍ ، فَيَقُولُ : " اكْتُبْ عَمَلَهُ ، وَأَجَلَهُ ، وَرِزْقَهُ ، وَشَقِيٌّ أَمْ سَعِيدٌ " فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ، إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ حَتَّى مَا يَكُونُ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَهَا إِلَّا ذِرَاعٌ ، فَيَسْبِقُ عَلَيْهِ الْكِتَابُ ، فَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَيَدْخُلُهَا ، وَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ حَتَّى مَا يَكُونُ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَهَا إِلَّا ذِرَاعٌ ، فَيَسْبِقُ عَلَيْهِ الْكِتَابُ فَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَيَدْخُلُهَا " .
´'Abdullah bin Mas'ud said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), the true and truly inspired one, told us that: 'The creation of one of you is put together in his mother's womb for forty days, then it becomes a clot for a similar length of time, then it becomes a chewed lump of flesh for a similar length of time. Then Allah sends the angel to him and commands him to write down four things. He says: "Write down his deeds, his life span, his provision, and whether he is doomed (destined for Hell) or blessed (destined for Paradise)." By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! One of you may do the deeds of the people of Paradise until there is no more than a forearm's length between him and it, then the decree overtakes him and he does the deeds of the people of Hell until there is no more than a forearm's length between him and it, then the decree overtakes him and he does the deeds of the people of Paradise until he enters therein."
Hadith 753
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ الرَّقِّيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ الْغِفَارِيِّ ، قَالَ ، قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَيُّ مَسْجِدٍ وُضِعَ أَوَّلُ ؟ قَالَ : " الْمَسْجِدُ الْحَرَامُ " ، قَالَ ، قُلْتُ : ثُمَّ أَيٌّ ؟ قَالَ : " ثُمَّ الْمَسْجِدُ الْأَقْصَى " ، قُلْتُ : كَمْ بَيْنَهُمَا ؟ قَالَ : " أَرْبَعُونَ عَامًا ، ثُمَّ الْأَرْضُ لَكَ مُصَلًّى ، فَصَلِّ حَيْثُ مَا أَدْرَكَتْكَ الصَّلَاةُ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Dharr Al-Ghifari said:` "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Which mosque was built first?' He said: 'Al-Masjid Al-Haram (in Makkah).' I said: 'Then which?' He said: 'then Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa (in Jerusalem).' I said: 'How many years between them?' He said: 'Forty years, but the whole earth is a mosque for you, so pray wherever you are when the time for prayer comes.'"
Hadith 960
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعَلِّمُنَا أَنْ لَا نُبَادِرَ الْإِمَامَ بِالرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ ، وَإِذَا كَبَّرَ فَكَبِّرُوا ، وَإِذَا سَجَدَ فَاسْجُدُوا " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` “The Prophet (ﷺ) used to teach us not to bow or prostrate before the Imam; when he says the Takbir then say the Takbir, and when he prostrates, you should prostrate.”
Hadith 1285
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَائِذٍ هُوَ أَبُو كَاهِلٍ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَخْطُبُ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ حَسْنَاءَ ، وَحَبَشِيٌّ آخِذٌ بِخِطَامِهَا " .
´It was narrated that Qais bin ‘Aidh, who was Abu Kahil, said:` “I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) delivering the sermon atop a beautiful she-camel, and an Ethiopian was holding onto its reins.”
Hadith 1569
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " زُورُوا الْقُبُورَ فَإِنَّهَا تُذَكِّرُكُمُ الْآخِرَةَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Visit the graves, for they will remind you of the Hereafter.”
Hadith 1572
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " زَارَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْرَ أُمِّهِ فَبَكَى ، وَأَبْكَى مَنْ حَوْلَهُ ، فَقَالَ : اسْتَأْذَنْتُ رَبِّي فِي أَنْ أَسْتَغْفِرَ لَهَا فَلَمْ يَأْذَنْ لِي ، وَاسْتَأْذَنْتُ رَبِّي فِي أَنْ أَزُورَ قَبْرَهَا فَأَذِنَ لِي ، فَزُورُوا الْقُبُورَ ، فَإِنَّهَا تُذَكِّرُكُمَ الْمَوْتَ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` “The Prophet (ﷺ) visited the grave of his mother and wept, causing the people around him to weep. Then he said: ‘I asked my Lord for permission to seek forgiveness for her, but He did not give me permission. Then I asked my Lord for permission to visit her grave and He gave me permission. So visit the graves, for they will remind you of death.’”
Hadith 1675
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى ، وَمُحَمَّدُ ابنا عبيد الطنافسي ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَرْزُوقٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ فَضَالَةَ بْنَ عُبَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " خَرَجَ عَلَيْهِمْ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ يَصُومُهُ ، فَدَعَا بِإِنَاءٍ فَشَرِبَ " ، فَقُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ هَذَا يَوْمٌ كُنْتَ تَصُومُهُ ، قَالَ : " أَجَلْ وَلَكِنِّي قِئْتُ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Masruq said:` “I heard Fadalah bin ‘Ubaid Al- Ansari narrating that the Prophet (ﷺ) came out to them on a day when he was fasting. He called for a vessel and drank. We said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, you were fasting today.’ He said: ‘Yes, but I vomited.’”
Hadith 1832
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْكِنْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ ، عَنْ إِدْرِيسَ الْأَوْدِيِّ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، رَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْوَسْقُ سِتُّونَ صَاعًا " .
´Abu Sa'eed narrated and attributed to the Prophet:` “A Wasq is sixty Sa.”
Hadith 2372
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الْعُصْفُرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ الْأَسَدِيِّ ، عَنْ خُرَيْمِ بْنِ فَاتِكٍ الْأَسَدِيِّ ، قَالَ : صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الصُّبْحَ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَامَ قَائِمًا ، فَقَالَ : " عُدِلَتْ شَهَادَةُ الزُّورِ بِالْإِشْرَاكِ بِاللَّهِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ثُمَّ تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ وَاجْتَنِبُوا قَوْلَ الزُّورِ { 30 } حُنَفَاءَ لِلَّهِ غَيْرَ مُشْرِكِينَ بِهِ سورة الحج آية 30-31 " .
´It was narrated that Khuraim bin Fatik Al-Asadi said that :` the Prophet(ﷺ) prayed the Morning prayer, and when he had finished, he stood up and said: “Bearing false witness is equivalent to associating others with Allah,” three times. Then he recited this Verse: “And shun lying speech (false statements), Hunafa' Lillah (i.e., worshiping none but Allah), not associating partners (in worship) to Him.”
Hadith 2453
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، وَأَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَوْ قَالَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ : عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُكْرِي أَرْضًا لَهُ مَزَارِعًا فَأَتَاهُ إِنْسَانٌ فَأَخْبَرَهُ ، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَهَى عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْمَزَارِعِ " ، فَذَهَبَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَذَهَبْتُ مَعَهُ حَتَّى أَتَاهُ بِالْبَلَاطِ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ ، فَأَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَهَى عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْمَزَارِعِ " فَتَرَكَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ كِرَاءَهَا .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that:` he used to lease out some land that belonged to him, for cultivation. Then someone came to him and told him that Rafi' bin Khadij said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had forbidden leasing out land for cultivation. Ibn 'Umar went, and I went with him, until he met him in Balat, and asked him about that, and he told him that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had forbidden leasing out land for cultivation. So 'Abdullah stopped lessening out land.
Hadith 2950
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ الطَّوَافَ الْأَوَّلَ رَمَلَ ثَلَاثَةً ، وَمَشَى أَرْبَعَةً ، مِنَ الْحِجْرِ إِلَى الْحِجْرِ " ، وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَفْعَلُهُ .
It was narrated from Nafi’, from Ibn ‘Umar that when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performed Tawaf around the House for the first time, he walked briskly with short steps in the first three circuits, and walked normally in the last four, starting and ending at the Hijr.* And Ibn ‘Umar used to do that.
Hadith 3042
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِي مُحَمَّدٌ ، وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، وَأَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " طَيَّبْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِإِحْرَامِهِ حِينَ أَحْرَمَ ، وَلِإِحْلَالِهِ حِينَ أَحَلَّ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:` “I applied perfume to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) for his Ihram when he entered Ihram, and when he exited Ihram.”
Hadith 3493
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ رَافِعٍ , حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ , عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ , عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ , عَنْ جَابِرٍ , قَالَ : مَرِضَ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ مَرَضًا , " فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَبِيبًا , فَكَوَاهُ عَلَى أَكْحَلِهِ " .
´It was narrated that Jabir said:` “Ubayy bin Ka’b fell sick, and the Prophet (ﷺ) sent a doctor to him who cauterized him on his medical arm vein.”
Hadith 4324
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ , عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ , عَنْ يَزِيدَ الرَّقَاشِيِّ , عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يُرْسَلُ الْبُكَاءُ عَلَى أَهْلِ النَّارِ , فَيَبْكُونَ حَتَّى يَنْقَطِعَ الدُّمُوعُ , ثُمَّ يَبْكُونَ الدَّمَ حَتَّى يَصِيرَ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ كَهَيْئَةِ الْأُخْدُودِ , لَوْ أُرْسِلَتْ فِيهَا السُّفُنُ لَجَرَتْ " .
´It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “The people of Hell will be made to weep and they will weep until they run out of tears. Then they will weep blood until something like trenches appear on their faces, and if ships were placed in them they would float.”
