Hadith 70
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ ، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ فَارَقَ الدُّنْيَا عَلَى الْإِخْلَاصِ لِلَّهِ وَحْدَهُ ، وَعِبَادَتِهِ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ، وَإِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ ، وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ ، مَاتَ وَاللَّهُ عَنْهُ رَاضٍ "قَالَ أَنَسٌ : وَهُوَ دِينُ اللَّهِ الَّذِي جَاءَتْ بِهِ الرُّسُلُ وَبَلَّغُوهُ عَنْ رَبِّهِمْ قَبْلَ هَرْجِ الْأَحَادِيثِ ، وَاخْتِلَافِ الْأَهْوَاءِ ، وَتَصْدِيقُ ذَلِكَ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ ، فِي آخِرِ مَا نَزَلَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ : فَإِنْ تَابُوا سورة التوبة آية 5 قَالَ : خَلَعُوا الْأَوْثَانِ وَعِبَادَتِهَا وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلاةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكَاةَ سورة التوبة آية 5 ، وَقَالَ فِي آيَةٍ أُخْرَى : فَإِنْ تَابُوا ، وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ ، وَآتَوْا الزَّكَاةَ ، فَإِخْوَانُكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ .
´It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Whoever departs this world with sincerity towards Allah, worshipping Him alone with no partner, establishing regular prayer and paying Zakat, he dies while Allah is pleased with him.'" Anas said: "This is the religion of Allah which was brought by the Messengers, and which they conveyed from their Lord before there arose the confusion of people's chattering and conflicting desires. This is confirmed in the Book of Allah, in one of the Last Verses to be revealed, where Allah says: "But if they repent." Renounce their idols and worshipping them; "And establish Salat and give Zakat." And Allah says in another Verse." But if they repent, perform Salat and give Zakat, then they are your brethren in religion." (Da'if) Another chain with similar wording.
Hadith 397
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ رُبَيْحِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِى سَعِيدٍ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed that:` The Messenger of Allah said: "There is no ablution for one who does not mention the Name of Allah (before doing it)."
Hadith 588
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، وَأَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " يَطُوفُ عَلَى نِسَائِهِ فِي غُسْلٍ وَاحِدٍ " .
´It was narrated from Anas that:` The Prophet used to go round to all his wives with one bath.
Hadith 715
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَسَدِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ، عَنْ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ بِلَالٍ ، قَالَ : " أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أُثَوِّبَ فِي الْفَجْرِ ، وَنَهَانِي أَنْ أُثَوِّبَ فِي الْعِشَاءِ " .
´It was narrated that Bilal said:` "The Messenger of Allah commanded me (with Tathwib) in the Adhan for Fajr, and he forbade me to do so in the Adhan for 'Isha'."
Hadith 1149
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ، الْوَاسِطِيَّانِ قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : رَمَقْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَهْرًا فَكَانَ " يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ : قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said:` “I watched the Prophet (ﷺ) for a month, and in the two Rak’ah before Fajr he used to recite: “Say: O you disbelievers!” [Al-Kafirun (109)] and “Say: Allah is One.” [Al- Ikhlas (112)]
Hadith 1172
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to perform Witr and recite:` “Glorify the Name of your Lord the Most High,” [Al-A’la (87)] “Say: O you disbelievers!” [Al-Kafirun (109)] and ‘Say: Allah is One.”. [Al-Ikhlas (112)] Another chain with similar wording.
Hadith 1257
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُثَنَّى ، عَنْ أَبِي أُبَيٍّ ابْنِ امْرَأَةِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ يَعْنِي : عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " سَيَكُونُ أُمَرَاءُ تَشْغَلُهُمْ أَشْيَاءُ يُؤَخِّرُونَ الصَّلَاةَ عَنْ وَقْتِهَا ، فَاجْعَلُوا صَلَاتَكُمْ مَعَهُمْ تَطَوُّعًا " .
´It was narrated from ‘Ubadah bin Samit that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “There will be leaders who will be distracted by matters and they will delay the prayer until after its proper time. So make your prayer with them voluntary.”
Hadith 1310
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ أَبِي رَمْلَةَ الشَّامِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ : هَلْ شَهِدْتَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِيدَيْنِ فِي يَوْمٍ ؟ ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : فَكَيْفَ كَانَ يَصْنَعُ ؟ ، قَالَ : " صَلَّى الْعِيدَ ، ثُمَّ رَخَّصَ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " مَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ فَلْيُصَلِّ " .
´It was narrated that Iyas bin Abi Ramlah Ash-Shami said:` “I heard a man asking Zaid bin Arqam: ‘Were you present with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) when there were two ‘Eid on one day?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ He said: ‘What did he do?’ He said: ‘He prayed the ‘Eid prayer, then he granted a concession not to pray the Friday, then he said: “Whoever wants to pray (Friday), let him do so.”’”
Hadith 1547
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّادِ بْنِ آدَمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعَلِّمُهُمْ إِذَا خَرَجُوا إِلَى الْمَقَابِرِ ، كَانَ قَائِلُهُمْ يَقُولُ : السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ الدِّيَارِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمِينَ ، وَإِنَّا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ بِكُمْ لَاحِقُونَ ، نَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ لَنَا وَلَكُمُ الْعَافِيَةَ " .
´It was narrated from Sulaiman bin Buraidah that his father said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to teach them, when they went out to the graveyard, to say: As-salamu ‘alaykum ahlad-diyar minal-mu’minina wal- muslimin, wa inna insha’ Allah bikum lahiqun, nas’alul-laha lana wa lakumul-‘afiyah (Peace be upon you, O inhabitants of the abodes, believers and Muslims, and we will join you soon if Allah wills. We ask Allah for well-being for us and for you).’”
Hadith 1877
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " تَزَوَّجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَائِشَةَ وَهِيَ بِنْتُ سَبْعٍ ، وَبَنَى بِهَا وَهِيَ بِنْتُ تِسْعٍ ، وَتُوُفِّيَ عَنْهَا وَهِيَ بِنْتُ ثَمَانِي عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً " .
´It was narrated that:` Abdullah said: “The Prophet married Aishah when she was seven years old, and consummated the marriage with her when she was nine, and he passed away when she was eighteen.”
Hadith 2153
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ سَالِمِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْجَالِبُ مَرْزُوقٌ وَالْمُحْتَكِرُ مَلْعُونٌ " .
´It was narrated from 'Umar bin Khattab that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "The importer is blessed with provision and the hoarder is cursed."
Hadith 2510
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فِي الرِّكَازِ الْخُمُسُ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn`Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “One fifth is due on buried treasure.”
Hadith 3439
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ , عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ , حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءٌ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ دَاءً , إِلَّا أَنْزَلَ لَهُ شِفَاءً " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Allah does not send down any disease, but He also sends down the cure.”
Hadith 3729
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ , حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ , عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ , عَنْ جَابِرٍ , عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَئِنْ عِشْتُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ , لَأَنْهَيَنَّ أَنْ يُسَمَّى رَبَاحٌ , وَنَجِيحٌ , وَأَفْلَحُ , وَنَافِعٌ , وَيَسَارٌ " .
´It was narrated from 'Umar ibn Al-Khattab that the Prophet(ﷺ) said:` "If I live- if Allah wills - I will forbid the names Rabah(profit), Najih(saved), Aflah (Successful), Nafi (beneficial) and Yasar(prosperity)."
Hadith 3911
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ , عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ , حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ : إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَأْسِي ضُرِبَ فَرَأَيْتُهُ يَتَدَهْدَهُ , فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَعْمِدُ الشَّيْطَانُ إِلَى أَحَدِكُمْ , فَيَتَهَوَّلُ لَهُ , ثُمَّ يَغْدُو يُخْبِرُ النَّاسَ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` “A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: ‘I saw my head was cut off and I saw it rolling away.’ The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Satan goes to one of you and terrifies him, then he tells people of that the next morning.’”
Hadith 3983
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَمْعَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ , عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ , عَنْ سَالِمٍ , عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , قَالَ : قَال رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يُلْدَغُ الْمُؤْمِنُ مِنْ جُحْرٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` ‘The believer should not be stung from the same hole twice.’”
Hadith 4059
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ , حَدَّثَنَا بَشِيرُ بْنُ سَلْمَانُ , عَنْ سَيَّارٍ , عَنْ طَارِقٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " بَيْنَ يَدَيِ السَّاعَةِ , مَسْخٌ وَخَسْفٌ وَقَذْفٌ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Abdullah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “Just before the Hour comes there will be transformations, the earth collapsing, and Qadhf. (i.e. the throwing of stones perhaps as a means of punishment – maybe it refers to landslides).”
