Hadith 617
وحَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاق بْنُ مُوسَى الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ مَوْلَى الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا كَانَ الْحَرُّ ، فَأَبْرِدُوا عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ ، فَإِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ ، وَذَكَرَ أَنَّ النَّارَ اشْتَكَتْ إِلَى رَبِّهَا ، فَأَذِنَ لَهَا فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ بِنَفَسَيْنِ ، نَفَسٍ فِي الشِّتَاءِ ، وَنَفَسٍ فِي الصَّيْفِ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: When it is hot, make delay (in the noon prayer) till it cools down, for the intensity of heat is from the Exhalation of Hell; and he also mentioned that the Hellfire complained to the Lord (about the congested atmosphere) and so it was permitted to take two exhalation during the whole year, one exhalation during the winter and one exhalation during the summer.
Hadith 1159
حَدَّثَنِي الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّاءَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ شَيْبَانَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَوْلَى بَنِي زُهْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : وَأَحْسَبُنِي قَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اقْرَأْ الْقُرْآنَ فِي كُلِّ شَهْرٍ " ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : إِنِّي أَجِدُ قُوَّةً ، قَالَ : " فَاقْرَأْهُ فِي عِشْرِينَ لَيْلَةً " ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : إِنِّي أَجِدُ قُوَّةً ، قَالَ " فَاقْرَأْهُ فِي سَبْعٍ وَلَا تَزِدْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ " .
'Abdullah bin 'Amr (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me: Recite the whole of the Qur'an during every month. I said: I find power (to recite it) in a shorter period. He said: Then recite it in twenty nights. I said: I find power (to recite it in a shorter period even than this), whereupon he said: Then recite it in seven (nights) and do not exceed beyond it.
