Hadith 64
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارِ بْنِ الرَّيَّانِ ، وَعَوْنُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ كُلُّهُمْ ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " سِبَابُ الْمُسْلِمِ فُسُوقٌ ، وَقِتَالُهُ كُفْرٌ " ، قَالَ زُبَيْدٌ : فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي وَائِلٍ : أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَرْوِيهِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، وَلَيْسَ فِي حَدِيثِ شُعْبَةَ ، قَوْلُ زُبَيْدٍ لِأَبِي وَائِلٍ .
It is narrated on the authority of 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) (may peace and blessings be upon him) observed: Abusing a Muslim is an outrage and fighting against him is unbelief. Zubaid said: I asked Abu Wa'il: Did you hear it from 'Abdullah narrating if from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) (may peace and blessings be upon him)? He replied: Yes. But there is mention of the talk between Zubaid and Abu Wa'il in the hadith narrated by Shu'bah.
Hadith 628
وحَدَّثَنَا عَوْنُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ الْكُوفِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ الْيَامِيُّ ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَبَسَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَنْ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى احْمَرَّتِ الشَّمْسُ ، أَوِ اصْفَرَّتْ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " شَغَلُونَا عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى ، صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ ، مَلَأَ اللَّهُ أَجْوَافَهُمْ ، وَقُبُورَهُمْ نَارًا ، أَوَ قَالَ : حَشَا اللَّهُ أَجْوَافَهُمْ ، وَقُبُورَهُمْ نَارًا .
'Abdullah (b. Mas'ud) reported that the polytheists detained the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) from observing the afternoon prayer till the sun became red or it became yellow. Upon this the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: They have diverted us from (offering) the middle prayer. i. e. the 'Asr prayer. May Allah fill their bellies and their graves with fire, or he said: May Allah stuff their bellies and their graves with fire.
Hadith 2548
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ . ح وحَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خِرَاشٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَبَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ كِلَاهُمَا ، عَنْ ابْنِ شُبْرُمَةَ ، بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ فِي حَدِيثِ وُهَيْبٍ : مَنْ أَبَرُّ ، وَفِي حَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ : أَيُّ النَّاسِ أَحَقُّ مِنِّي بِحُسْنِ الصُّحْبَةِ ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ جَرِيرٍ .
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Ibn Shubruma with the same chain of transmitters and the hadith transmitted on the authority of Wuhaib there is a slight variation of wording. Same is the case with the hadith transmitted on the authority of Muhammad bin Talha (and the words are):" Who amongst the people deserves the best treatment from me".
