Hadith 444
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ سِنَانِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْأُذُنَانِ مِنَ الرَّأْسِ ، وَكَانَ يَمْسَحُ رَأْسَهُ مَرَّةً ، وَكَانَ يَمْسَحُ الْمَأْقَيْنِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Umamah that:` The Messenger of Allah said: "The ears are part of the head." He used to wipe his head once, and he used to wipe over the inner corners of the eyes (that are close to the nose).
Hadith 902
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَيْمَنُ بْنُ نَابِلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعَلِّمُنَا التَّشَهُّدَ كَمَا يُعَلِّمُنَا السُّورَةَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ : " بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ وَبِاللَّهِ ، التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ لِلَّهِ ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ، أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ الْجَنَّةَ ، وَأَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
´It was narrated that Jabir bin ‘Abdullah said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to teach us the Tashah-hud as he used to teach us a Surah from the Qur’an: ‘Bismillahi wa Billahi; at-tahiyyatu lillahi was-salawatu wat-tayyibatu lillahi; as-salamu ‘alayka ayyuhan- Nabiyyu wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu; as-salamu ‘alayna wa ‘ala ‘ibadillahis-salihin. Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa rasuluhu. As’alu Allahal-jannah, wa a’udhu billahi minannar (In the name of Allah and by the grace of Allah. All compliments are due to Allah and all prayers and good words are due to Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings; peace be upon us and upon the righteous slaves of Allah. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. I ask Allah for Paradise and I seek refuge with Allah from the Fire).’”
Hadith 1515
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمَرَ بِقَتْلَى أُحُدٍ أَنْ يُنْزَعَ عَنْهُمُ الْحَدِيدُ وَالْجُلُودُ ، وَأَنْ يُدْفَنُوا فِي ثِيَابِهِمْ بِدِمَائِهِمْ " .
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded that the weapons and armor should be removed from the slain of Uhud, and they should be buried in their clothes stained with blood.
Hadith 1535
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ خَلَفٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ جَمِيعًا ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشِيَّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ " ، قَالَ : فَقَامَ فَصَلَّيْنَا خَلْفَهُ ، وَإِنِّي لَفِي الصَّفِّ الثَّانِي ، فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ .
´It was narrated from ‘Imran bin Husain:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Your brother Najashi has died, so offer the funeral prayer for him.” Then he stood and we prayed behind him. I was in the second row and two rows prayed for him.”
Hadith 1548
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ ، عَنْ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ زَاذَانَ ، عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، قَالَ : " خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي جِنَازَةٍ فَقَعَدَ حِيَالَ الْقِبْلَةِ " .
´It was narrated that Bara’ bin ‘Azib said:` “We went out with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) for a funeral, and he sat facing the Qiblah (prayer direction).”
Hadith 1562
حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ تَقْصِيصِ الْقُبُورِ " .
´It was narrated that Jabir said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade plastering over graves.”
Hadith 2105
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ حَلَفَ وَاسْتَثْنَى إِنْ شَاءَ رَجَعَ ، وَإِنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَ غَيْرُ حَانِثٍ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "Whoever swears an oath and says In sha' Allah, if he wishes he may go ahead and if he wishes he may not, without having broken his oath."
Hadith 2201
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : غَلَا السِّعْرُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالُوا : لَوْ قَوَّمْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو ، أَنْ أُفَارِقَكُمْ وَلَا يَطْلُبَنِي أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ بِمَظْلَمَةٍ ظَلَمْتُهُ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed said:` "Prices rose at the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and they said: 'Why do you not fix the food prices, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'I hope that when I leave you, no one among you will be demanding restitution for a wrong that I have done to him."'
Hadith 4171
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ , حَدَّثَنَا الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ , حَدَّثَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي أَيُّوبَ , عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ , قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , عَلِّمْنِي وَأَوْجِزْ , قَالَ : " إِذَا قُمْتَ فِي صَلَاتِكَ , فَصَلِّ صَلَاةَ مُوَدِّعٍ , وَلَا تَكَلَّمْ بِكَلَامٍ تَعْتَذِرُ مِنْهُ , وَأَجْمِعِ الْيَأْسَ عَمَّا فِي أَيْدِي النَّاسِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Ayyub said:` “A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, teach me but make it concise.’ He said: ‘When you stand to pray, pray like a man bidding farewell. Do not say anything for which you will have to apologize. And give up hope for what other people have.’”
