Hadith 1543
Abdullah bin 'Umar (RA) reported Allah's Massenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who buys a tree after it has been fecundated, its fruit belongs to one who sells it except when the provision has been laid down by the buyer (that it will belong to him), and he who buys a slave, his property belongs to one who sells him except when a provision has been laid down by the buyer (that it will be transferred to him with the slave).

Hadith 1551
Abdullah bin 'Umar (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) returned to the Jews of Khaibar the date-palms of Khaibar and its land on the condition that they should work upon them with their own wealth (seeds, implements), and give half of the yield to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) .

جَابِرٍ : أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَى أُمِّ مُبَشِّرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةِ فِي نَخْلٍ لَهَا ، فَقَالَ لَهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ غَرَسَ هَذَا النَّخْلَ أَمُسْلِمٌ أَمْ كَافِرٌ ؟ " ، فَقَالَتْ : بَلْ مُسْلِمٌ ، فَقَالَ : " لَا يَغْرِسُ مُسْلِمٌ غَرْسًا وَلَا يَزْرَعُ زَرْعًا ، فَيَأْكُلَ مِنْهُ إِنْسَانٌ ، وَلَا دَابَّةٌ ، وَلَا شَيْءٌ ، إِلَّا كَانَتْ لَهُ صَدَقَةٌ " .
Jabir (RA) reported that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) visited Umm Mubashshir al-Ansariya at her orchard of date-palms and said to her: Who has planted these trees of dates-a Muslim or a non-Musim? She said: A Muslim, of course, whereupon he said: Never a Muslim plants, or cultivates a land, and it out of that men eat, or the animals eat, or anything else eats, but that becomes charity on his (planter's) behalf.

أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ يَأْثُرُ هَذَا ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي رِوَايَةِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، فَذَهَبَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، وَنَافِعٌ مَعَهُ وَفِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ رُمْحٍ ، قَالَ نَافِعٌ : فَذَهَبَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ وَاللَّيْثِيُّ حَتَّى دَخَلَ عَلَى أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ هَذَا أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّكَ تُخْبِرُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَرِقِ بِالْوَرِقِ إِلَّا مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ ، وَعَنْ بَيْعِ الذَّهَبِ بِالذَّهَبِ إِلَّا مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ ، فَأَشَارَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ بِإِصْبَعَيْهِ إِلَى عَيْنَيْهِ وَأُذُنَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : أَبْصَرَتْ عَيْنَايَ وَسَمِعَتْ أُذُنَايَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : لَا تَبِيعُوا الذَّهَبَ بِالذَّهَبِ ، وَلَا تَبِيعُوا الْوَرِقَ بِالْوَرِقِ إِلَّا مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ ، وَلَا تُشِفُّوا بَعْضَهُ عَلَى بَعْضٍ ، وَلَا تَبِيعُوا شَيْئًا غَائِبًا مِنْهُ بِنَاجِزٍ إِلَّا يَدًا بِيَدٍ "

Hadith 1602
Jabir (RA) reported: There came a slave and pledg- ed allegiance to Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) on migration; he (the Holy Prophet) did not know that he was a slave. Then there came his master and demanded him back, whereupon Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) said: Sell him to me. And he bought him for two black slaves, and he did not afterwards take allegiance from anyone until he had asked him whether he was a slave (or a free man)

Jabir bin 'Abdullah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upan him) as saying: He who conferred a life grant upon a person, it becomes his possession and that of his successors, for he surrendered his right in that by his declaration. (This property) now belongs to one to whom this lifelong grant has been made, and to his successors. Yahya narrated in the beginning of his narration: Whatever man is given a life grant, then it belongs to him and his posterity.
Hadith 1638
Ibn Abbas (RA) reported that Sa'd bin Ubida asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) for a decision about a vow taken by his mother who had died before fulfilling it. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Fulfil it on her behalf.

عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَنَّهُ أَدْرَكَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ فِي رَكْبٍ وَعُمَرُ يَحْلِفُ بِأَبِيهِ ، فَنَادَاهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَلَا إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَنْهَاكُمْ أَنْ تَحْلِفُوا بِآبَائِكُمْ ، فَمَنْ كَانَ حَالِفًا ، فَلْيَحْلِفْ بِاللَّهِ أَوْ لِيَصْمُتْ " ،
'Abdullah (b. Umar) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) found, Umar bin al-Khattab amongst the riders and he was taking oath by his father Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) called them (saying): Our Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, has forbidden that you take oath by your father. He who has to take an oath, he must take it by Allah or keep quiet.

عَائِشَةَ ، " أَنَّ قُرَيْشًا أَهَمَّهُمْ شَأْنُ الْمَرْأَةِ الْمَخْزُومِيَّةِ الَّتِي سَرَقَتْ ، فَقَالُوا : مَنْ يُكَلِّمُ فِيهَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ ، فَقَالُوا : وَمَنْ يَجْتَرِئُ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا أُسَامَةُ حِبُّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَكَلَّمَهُ أُسَامَةُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَتَشْفَعُ فِي حَدٍّ مِنْ حُدُودِ اللَّهِ ؟ ، ثُمَّ قَامَ ، فَاخْتَطَبَ فَقَالَ : أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّمَا أَهْلَكَ الَّذِينَ قَبْلَكُمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا إِذَا سَرَقَ فِيهِمُ الشَّرِيفُ ، تَرَكُوهُ ، وَإِذَا سَرَقَ فِيهِمُ الضَّعِيفُ ، أَقَامُوا عَلَيْهِ الْحَدَّ ، وَايْمُ اللَّهِ لَوْ أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ سَرَقَتْ ، لَقَطَعْتُ يَدَهَا " ، وَفِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ رُمْحٍ إِنَّمَا هَلَكَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ .
'A'isha reported that the Quraish had been anxious about the Makhzumi woman who had committed theft, and said: Who will speak to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) about her? They said: Who dare it, but Usama, the loved one of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ? So Usama spoke to him. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Do you intercede regarding one of the punishments prescribed by Allah? He then stood up and addressed (people) saying: O people, those who have gone before you were destroyed, because if any one of high rank committed theft amongst them, they spared him; and it anyone of low rank committed theft, they inflicted the prescribed punishment upon him. By Allah, if Fatima, daughter of Muhammad, were to steal, I would have her hand cut off. In the hadith transmitted on the authority of Ibn Rumh (the words are): "Verily those before you perished."

وَزَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، أَنَّهُمَا قَالَا : " إِنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَنْشُدُكَ اللَّهَ إِلَّا قَضَيْتَ لِي بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ ، فَقَالَ : الْخَصْمُ الْآخَرُ وَهُوَ أَفْقَهُ مِنْهُ ، نَعَمْ فَاقْضِ بَيْنَنَا بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ ، وَأْذَنْ لِي فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قُلْ قَالَ : إِنَّ ابْنِي كَانَ عَسِيفًا عَلَى هَذَا ، فَزَنَى بِامْرَأَتِهِ وَإِنِّي أُخْبِرْتُ أَنَّ عَلَى ابْنِي الرَّجْمَ ، فَافْتَدَيْتُ مِنْهُ بِمِائَةِ شَاةٍ وَوَلِيدَةٍ ، فَسَأَلْتُ أَهْلَ الْعِلْمِ ، فَأَخْبَرُونِي أَنَّمَا عَلَى ابْنِي جَلْدُ مِائَةٍ وَتَغْرِيبُ عَامٍ ، وَأَنَّ عَلَى امْرَأَةِ هَذَا الرَّجْمَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَأَقْضِيَنَّ بَيْنَكُمَا بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ ، الْوَلِيدَةُ وَالْغَنَمُ رَدٌّ وَعَلَى ابْنِكَ جَلْدُ مِائَةٍ وَتَغْرِيبُ عَامٍ وَاغْدُ يَا أُنَيْسُ إِلَى امْرَأَةِ هَذَا ، فَإِنِ اعْتَرَفَتْ فَارْجُمْهَا ، قَالَ : فَغَدَا عَلَيْهَا ، فَاعْتَرَفَتْ ، فَأَمَرَ بِهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرُجِمَتْ " ،
Abu Hurairah (RA) and Zaid b Khalid al-Juhani reported that one of the desert tribes came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said: Messenger of Allah, I beg of you in the name of Allah that you pronounce judgment about me according to the Book of Allah. The second claimant who was wiser than him said: Well, decide amongst us according to the Book of Allah, but permit me (to say something). Thereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon ham) said: Say. He said: My son was a servant in the house of this person and he committed adultery with his wife. I was informed that my son deserved stoning to death (as punishment for this offence). I gave one hundred goats and a slave girl as ransom for this. I asked the scholars (if this could serve as an expiation for this offence). They informed me that my son deserved one hundred lashes and exile for one year and this woman deserved stoning (as she was married). Thereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace he upon him) said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, I will decide between you according to the Book of Allah. The slave-girl and the goats should be given back, and your son is to be punished with one hundred lashes and exile for one year. And, O Unais (b. Zuhaq al-Aslami), go to this woman in the morning, and if she makes a confession, then stone her. He (the narrator) said: He went to her in the morning and she made a confession. And Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) made pronouncement about her and she was stoned to death.

عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : إِنِّي لَمِنْ النُّقَبَاءِ الَّذِينَ بَايَعُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَقَالَ : " بَايَعْنَاهُ عَلَى أَنْ لَا نُشْرِكَ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا ، وَلَا نَزْنِيَ وَلَا نَسْرِقَ وَلَا نَقْتُلَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ ، وَلَا نَنْتَهِبَ وَلَا نَعْصِيَ ، فَالْجَنَّةُ إِنْ فَعَلْنَا ذَلِكَ ، فَإِنْ غَشِينَا مِنْ ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا كَانَ قَضَاءُ ذَلِكَ إِلَى اللَّهِ " ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ رُمْحٍ : كَانَ قَضَاؤُهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ .
Ubida bin as-Samit repnrted: I was one of those headmen who swore allegiance to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) that we will not associate anything with Allah, and will not commit adultery, and will not steal, and will not kill any soul which Allah has forbidden, but with justice nor plunder, nor disobey (Allah and His Apostle) (ﷺ) , then Paradise (will be the reward) in case we do these (acts) ; and if we commit any outrage (and that goes unpunished in the world), it is Allah Who would decide about it. Ibn Rumh said: Its judgment lies with Allah.
Hadith 1710
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: No requital is payable for a wound caused by an animal, for (falling into) a well and a mine, and one-fifth (is the share of the government) in the buried treasure (treasure-trove).

'Uqba bin Amir reported: We said to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) : You send us out and we come to the people who do not give us hospitality, so what is your opinion? Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: If you come to the people who order for you what is befitting a guest, accept it; but if they do not, take from them what befits them to give to a guest.
Hadith 1744
It is narrated on the authority of 'Abdullah that a woman was found killed in one of the battles fought by the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) . He disapproved of the killing of women and children.

عَبْدِ اللَّهِ : " أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَرَّقَ نَخْلَ بَنِي النَّضِيرِ ، وَقَطَعَ وَهِيَ الْبُوَيْرَةُ " ، زَادَ قُتَيْبَةُ ، وَابْنُ رُمْحٍ فِي حَدِيثِهِمَا ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مَا قَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ لِينَةٍ أَوْ تَرَكْتُمُوهَا قَائِمَةً عَلَى أُصُولِهَا فَبِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ وَلِيُخْزِيَ الْفَاسِقِينَ سورة الحشر آية 5 .
It is narrated on the authority of 'Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ordered the date-palms of Banu Nadir to be burnt and cut. These palms were at Buwaira. Qutaibah and Ibn Rumh in their versions of the tradition have added: So Allah, the Glorious and Exalted, revealed the verse: "Whatever trees you have cut down or left standing on their trunks, it was with the permission of Allah so that He may disgrace the evil-doers" (lix. 5).

ابْنِ عُمَرَ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ وَفِيهِمْ ابْنُ عُمَرَ ، وَأَنَّ سُهْمَانَهُمْ بَلَغَتِ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا ، وَنُفِّلُوا سِوَى ذَلِكَ بَعِيرًا ، فَلَمْ يُغَيِّرْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
Ibn 'Umar reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) sent an expedition to Najd and Ibn 'Umar (RA) was also among the troops, and their share (of the spoils) came to twelve camels and they were given one camel over and above that and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) did not make any change in it.

ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " أَلَا كُلُّكُمْ رَاعٍ وَكُلُّكُمْ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ ، فَالْأَمِيرُ الَّذِي عَلَى النَّاسِ رَاعٍ وَهُوَ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ ، وَالرَّجُلُ رَاعٍ عَلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ وَهُوَ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْهُمْ ، وَالْمَرْأَةُ رَاعِيَةٌ عَلَى بَيْتِ بَعْلِهَا وَوَلَدِهِ وَهِيَ مَسْئُولَةٌ عَنْهُمْ ، وَالْعَبْدُ رَاعٍ عَلَى مَالِ سَيِّدِهِ وَهُوَ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْهُ ، أَلَا فَكُلُّكُمْ رَاعٍ وَكُلُّكُمْ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ " ،
It has been narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Umar that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) (May peace be upon him) said: Beware. every one of you is a shepherd and every one is answerable with regard to his flock. The Caliph is a shepherd over the people and shall be questioned about his subjects (as to how he conducted their affairs). A man is a guardian over the members of his family and shal be questioned about them (as to how he looked after their physical and moral well-being). A woman is a guardian over the household of her husband and his children and shall be questioned about them (as to how she managed the household and brought up the children). A slave is a guardian over the property of his master and shall be questioned about it (as to how he safeguarded his trust). Beware, every one of you is a guardian and every one of you shall be questioned with regard to his trust.
Hadith 1856
It has been narrated on the authority of Jabir who said: We were one thousand and four hundred on the Day of Hudaibiya. We swore fealty to hiin (the Holy Prophet) and 'Umar was holding the latter's hand (when he was sitting) under the tree (called) ahadeeth (to administer the oath to the Companions). The narrator added: We took oath to the effect that we would not flee (from the battlefield if there was an encounter with the Makkahns), but we did not take oath to fight to death.
Hadith 1869
It has been narrated on the authority of'Abdullah bin 'Umar (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to forbid that one should travel to the land of the enemy taking the Qur'an (with him) lest it should fall into the hands of the enemy.
Hadith 1870
This tradition has been handed down through another chain of transmitters with the addition of the following words from'Abdullah bin 'Umar (RA) :" I came first in the race and my horse jumped into the mosque with me."

Hadith 1907
It has been narrated through a different chain of transmitters on the authority of Sufyan who said that he heard 'Umar bin al-Khattab relate (this tradition) from the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) while he was delivering a sermon from the pulpit.
Hadith 1912
It has been reported on the authority of Umm Haram daughter of Milhan (through another chain of transmitters). She said: One day the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) slept (at a place) near me. He woke up smiling. She said: Messenger of Allah. what made thee laugh? He said: A people from my followers were presented to me. They were sailing on the surface of this green sea... (here follows the tradition that has gone before).

الْحَارِثِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ ، عَنْ
عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ شِمَاسَةَ ، أَنَّ فُقَيْمًا اللَّخْمِيَّ ، قَالَ لِعُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ : تَخْتَلِفُ بَيْنَ هَذَيْنِ الْغَرَضَيْنِ وَأَنْتَ كَبِيرٌ يَشُقُّ عَلَيْكَ ، قَالَ
عُقْبَةُ : لَوْلَا كَلَامٌ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ أُعَانِيهِ ، قَالَ الْحَارِثُ : فَقُلْتُ لِابْنِ شَمَاسَةَ : وَمَا ذَاكَ ؟ ، قَالَ : إِنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ عَلِمَ الرَّمْيَ ثُمَّ تَرَكَهُ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا أَوْ قَدْ عَصَى " .
It has been reported by 'Abdul Rahman bin Shamasa that Fuqaim al- Lakhmi said to Uqba bin Amir: You frequent between these two targets and you are an old man, so you will be finding it very hard. 'Uqba said: But for a thing I heard from the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) , I would not strain myself. Harith (one of the narrators in the chain of transmitters) said: I asked Ibn Shamasa: What was that? He said that he (the Holy Prophet) said: Who learnt archery and then gave it up is not from us. or he has been guilty of disobedience (to Allah's Apostle) (ﷺ) .
Hadith 1943
Ibn 'Umar reported: A person asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) about the eating of the lizard, whereupon he said. I neither eat it, nor do I prohibit it.
Hadith 1965
Uqba bin 'Amir reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) gave the gifts of goats to be distributed amongst his Companions. They sacrificed them, but a lamb of one year of age was left. (Someone) made a mention of that to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) , whereupon he said: You sacrifice it.
Hadith 1970
Ibn 'Umar reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) having said: None of you shculd eat the flesh of his sacrificial animal beyond three days.
Hadith 1986
Jabir bin'Abdullah (RA) al-Ansari reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) Prohibited the preparation of Nabidh by mixing grapes and fresh dates, and he forbade the preparation of Nabidh by mixing unripe dates with fresh dates.
Hadith 1997
This hadith has been reported on the authority of Ibn 'Umar with different chains of transmitters but they have not mentioned: "In one of his expeditions" except Malik and Usama.

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ
جَابِرٍ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " غَطُّوا الْإِنَاءَ ، وَأَوْكُوا السِّقَاءَ ، وَأَغْلِقُوا الْبَابَ ، وَأَطْفِئُوا السِّرَاجَ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَا يَحُلُّ سِقَاءً ، وَلَا يَفْتَحُ بَابًا ، وَلَا يَكْشِفُ إِنَاءً ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ يَعْرُضَ عَلَى إِنَائِهِ عُودًا ، وَيَذْكُرَ اسْمَ اللَّهِ ، فَلْيَفْعَلْ فَإِنَّ الْفُوَيْسِقَةَ تُضْرِمُ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ بَيْتَهُمْ " ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ قُتَيْبَة فِي حَدِيثِهِ وَأَغْلِقُوا الْبَابَ .
Jabir reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Cover vessels, waterskins, close the doors and extinguish the lamps, for the Satan does not loosen the waterskin, does not open the door and does not uncover the vessels. And if one amongst you fails to find (something) to cover it well, he should cover it by placing (a piece of) wood across it. Qutaiba did not mention the closing of the doors in the hadith transmitted by him.
