Hadith 3604
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اسْتَعِيذُوا بِاللَّهِ مِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ ، وَاسْتَعِيذُوا بِاللَّهِ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ ، اسْتَعِيذُوا بِاللَّهِ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ ، وَاسْتَعِيذُوا بِاللَّهِ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Seek refuge with Allah from the punishment of Hell, and seek refuge in Allah from the punishment of the grave. Seek refuge in Allah from the trial of Al-Masihid-Dajjal, and seek refuge in Allah from the trials of life and death.”
Hadith 3604
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ يَدْعُو اللَّهَ بِدُعَاءٍ إِلَّا اسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ ، فَإِمَّا أَنْ يُعَجَّلَ لَهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا ، وَإِمَّا أَنْ يُدَّخَرَ لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ ، وَإِمَّا أَنْ يُكَفَّرَ عَنْهُ مِنْ ذُنُوبِهِ بِقَدْرِ مَا دَعَا ، مَا لَمْ يَدْعُ بِإِثْمٍ , أَوْ قَطِيعَةِ رَحِمٍ , أَوْ يَسْتَعْجِلُ " ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَكَيْفَ يَسْتَعْجِلُ ؟ قَالَ : " يَقُولُ : دَعَوْتُ رَبِّي فَمَا اسْتَجَابَ لِي " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا غَرِيبٌ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever supplicates to Allah, Allah accepts his supplication. This supplication is either accepted in this world, or it is stored up as a reward for him in the Hereafter by being included among his good deeds, or his sins are expiated in accordance with the supplication he made. But the condition is that the supplication should not be for something sinful, nor for severing ties of kinship, nor should there be any haste." The Companions asked: "O Messenger of Allah! What does it mean to be hasty?" He replied: "It is to say, 'I supplicated to my Lord, but He did not accept my supplication.'" © Imam Tirmidhi says: This hadith is gharib through this chain.
Hadith 3780
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا وَاصِلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، قَالَ : " لَمَّا جِيءَ بِرَأْسِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ , وَأَصْحَابِهِ نُضِّدَتْ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فِي الرَّحَبَةِ , فَانْتَهَيْتُ إِلَيْهِمْ وَهُمْ يَقُولُونَ : قَدْ جَاءَتْ قَدْ جَاءَتْ ، فَإِذَا حَيَّةٌ قَدْ جَاءَتْ تَخَلَّلُ الرُّءُوسَ حَتَّى دَخَلَتْ فِي مَنْخَرَيْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ , فَمَكَثَتْ هُنَيْهَةً , ثُمَّ خَرَجَتْ , فَذَهَبَتْ حَتَّى تَغَيَّبَتْ ، ثُمَّ قَالُوا : قَدْ جَاءَتْ قَدْ جَاءَتْ ، فَفَعَلَتْ ذَلِكَ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا . هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Narrated 'Umarah bin 'Umair:` "When the heads of 'Ubaidullah bin Ziyad and his companions were brought, they were stacked in the Masjid at Ar-Rahbah. So I came to them and they were saying: 'It has come, it has come." And behold, there was a snake going between the heads, until it entered the nostrils of 'Ubaidullah bin Ziyad, and it remained there momentarily, then left and went until it had disappeared. Then they said: 'It has come, it has come.' So it did that two or three times."
Hadith 3810
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شَقِيقِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " خُذُوا الْقُرْآنَ مِنْ أَرْبَعَةٍ : مِنَ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، وَأُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، وَمُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ ، وَسَالِمٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ " . قَالَ : هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Take the Qur'an from four: From Ibn Mas'ud, Ubayy bin Ka'b, Mu'adh bin Jabal, and Salim the freed slave of Abu Hudhaifah."
Hadith 3859
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ هُوَ السَّلْمَانِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " خَيْرُ النَّاسِ قَرْنِي ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ، ثُمَّ يَأْتِي قَوْمٌ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ تَسْبِقُ أَيْمَانُهُمْ شَهَادَاتِهِمْ أَوْ شَهَادَاتُهُمْ أَيْمَانَهُمْ " . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عُمَرَ ، وَعِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، وَبُرَيْدَةَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The best generation is my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them. Then comes a people after that whose swearing precedes their testimony, or whose testimony precedes their swearing."
Hadith 3861
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلَّالُ وَكَانَ حَافِظًا ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ .
Hassan bin Khallal narrated to us, and he was a hafiz, he said: Abu Muawiyah narrated to us, and Abu Muawiyah from A’mash, A’mash from Abu Salih, and Abu Salih from Abu Saeed Khudri, from the Prophet (peace be upon him), who narrated a hadith in a similar manner.
