Hadith 303
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ ، فَدَخَلَ رَجُلٌ فَصَلَّى ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَدَّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامَ ، فَقَالَ : " ارْجِعْ فَصَلِّ فَإِنَّكَ لَمْ تُصَلِّ " فَرَجَعَ الرَّجُلُ فَصَلَّى كَمَا كَانَ صَلَّى ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ فَرَدَّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ارْجِعْ فَصَلِّ فَإِنَّكَ لَمْ تُصَلِّ " حَتَّى فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ : وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ مَا أُحْسِنُ غَيْرَ هَذَا فَعَلِّمْنِي ، فَقَالَ : " إِذَا قُمْتَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَكَبِّرْ ثُمَّ اقْرَأْ بِمَا تَيَسَّرَ مَعَكَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ ثُمَّ ارْكَعْ حَتَّى تَطْمَئِنَّ رَاكِعًا ثُمَّ ارْفَعْ حَتَّى تَعْتَدِلَ قَائِمًا ثُمَّ اسْجُدْ حَتَّى تَطْمَئِنَّ سَاجِدًا ثُمَّ ارْفَعْ حَتَّى تَطْمَئِنَّ جَالِسًا وَافْعَلْ ذَلِكَ فِي صَلَاتِكَ كُلِّهَا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، قَالَ : وَقَدْ رَوَى ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَرِوَايَةُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَصَحُّ ، وَسَعِيدٌ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ قَدْ سَمِعَ مِنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَرَوَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَأَبُوَ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ اسْمُهُ : كَيْسَانُ , وَسَعِيدٌ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ يُكْنَى أَبَا سَعْدٍ ، وَكَيْسَانُ عَبْدٌ كَانَ مُكَاتَبًا لِبَعْضِهِمْ .
´Abu Hurairah narrated:` "Allah's Messenger entered the Masjid, and a man entered and offered Salat. Then he came to give Salam to the Propet. He returned the Salam to him and said: 'Go back and perform Salat, for indeed you have not prayed.' So the man returned to pray as he had prayed. Then he came to give Salam to the Prophet. He returned Salam to him, then [Allah's Messenger] said: 'Go back and perform Salat, for indeed you have not prayed' until he had done that three times. So the man said to him: 'By the One who sent you with the Truth, I do not know any better than this, so teach me.' So he said [to him]: 'When you stand for Salat then say the Takbir, then recite what is easy for you of the Quran. Then bow until you are at rest while bowing, then rise up until you are at rest sitting. Do that in all of your Salat.'"
Hadith 384
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، أَنَّهُ مَرَّ بِالْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي وَقَدْ عَقَصَ ضَفِرَتَهُ فِي قَفَاهُ فَحَلَّهَا ، فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيْهِ الْحَسَنُ مُغْضَبًا ، فَقَالَ : أَقْبِلْ عَلَى صَلَاتِكَ وَلَا تَغْضَبْ ، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " ذَلِكَ كِفْلُ الشَّيْطَانِ " قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : حَدِيثُ أَبِي رَافِعٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ ، وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ كَرِهُوا أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ الرَّجُلُ وَهُوَ مَعْقُوصٌ شَعْرُهُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَعِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى هُوَ : الْقُرَشِيُّ الْمَكِّيُّ وَهُوَ أَخُ وَأَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى .
´Abu Rafi narrated that :` He passed by Al-Hasan bin Ali while he was performing Salat and he had gathered his locks at the back of his head, so he (Abu Rafi) undid them, and Al-Hasan turned to him angrily. He said: "Resume your Salat and do not be angry, for indeed I heard Allah's Messenger (S) saying: 'That is the seat of Ash-Shaitan.'"
Hadith 707
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، قَالَ : وَأَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ لَمْ يَدَعْ قَوْلَ الزُّورِ وَالْعَمَلَ بِهِ ، فَلَيْسَ لِلَّهِ حَاجَةٌ بِأَنْ يَدَعَ طَعَامَهُ وَشَرَابَهُ ". قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَنَسٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Abu Hurairah narrated that :` the Prophet said: "Whoever does not leave false speech, and acting according to it, then Allah is not in any need of him leaving his food and his drink."
Hadith 1170
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلَّالُ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تُسَافِرُ امْرَأَةٌ مَسِيرَةَ يَوْمٍ وَلَيْلَةٍ إِلَّا وَمَعَهَا ذُو مَحْرَمٍ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Abu Hurairah narrated that The Messenger of Allah said:` “A woman is not to travel the distance of a day and a night unless she is accompanied by someone who is a Mahram.”
Hadith 2523
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ لَشَجَرَةً يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ فِي ظِلِّهَا مِائَةَ سَنَةٍ " , وفي الباب عن أَنَسٍ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:` "Verily, in Paradise there is a tree, a rider will travel in it's shade for a hundred years." Other chains report similar narrations.
Hadith 2706
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا انْتَهَى أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى مَجْلِسٍ فَلْيُسَلِّمْ ، فَإِنْ بَدَا لَهُ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ فَلْيَجْلِسْ ، ثُمَّ إِذَا قَامَ فَلْيُسَلِّمْ فَلَيْسَتِ الْأُولَى بِأَحَقَّ مِنَ الْآخِرَةِ " , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ أَيْضًا عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
´Narrated Abu Hurairah:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "When one of you arrives at the gathering, then give the Salam, and if he is given a place to sit, then let him sit. Then when he stands, let him give the Salam, the first is more worthy than the last."
Hadith 2747
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلَّالُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْعُطَاسَ وَيَكْرَهُ التَّثَاؤُبَ ، فَإِذَا عَطَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ ، فَقَالَ : الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ، فَحَقٌّ عَلَى كُلِّ مَنْ سَمِعَهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ : يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ ، وَأَمَّا التَّثَاؤُبُ فَإِذَا تَثَاءَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَرُدَّهُ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ وَلَا يَقُولَنَّ : هَاهْ هَاهْ فَإِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ يَضْحَكُ مِنْهُ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، وَابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ أَحْفَظُ لِحَدِيثِ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، وَأَثْبَتُ مِنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْت أَبَا بَكْرٍ الْعَطَّارَ الْبَصْرِيَّ يَذْكُرُ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمَدِينِيِّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ : أَحَادِيثُ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ رَوَى بَعْضَهَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَرَوَى بَعْضُهَا عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، فَاخْتَلَطَتْ عَلَيَّ ، فَجَعَلْتُهَا عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ .
´Narrated Abu Hurairah:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Indeed Allah loves sneezing and He dislikes the yawn. So when one of you sneezes and says 'Al-Hamdulillah (All praise is due to Allah),' then it is a right due from every one who hears him to say: 'Yarhamukallah (May Allah have mercy upon you)' As for yawning then when one of you yawns let him suppress it as much as possible and not say: "Hah Hah' for that is only from Ash-Shaitan laughing at him."
Hadith 3604
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، أَخْبَرَنَا وَكِيعٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو فَضَالَةَ الْفَرَجُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : دُعَاءٌ حَفِظْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا أَدَعُهُ : " اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي أُعَظِّمُ شُكْرَكَ وَأُكْثِرُ ذِكْرَكَ وَأَتَّبِعُ نَصِيحَتَكَ وَأَحْفَظُ وَصِيَّتَكَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا غَرِيبٌ .
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I have memorized a supplication from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and I recite it regularly (it is this): «اللهم اجعلني أعظم شكرك وأكثر ذكرك وأتبع نصيحتك وأحفظ وصيتك» "O Allah, make me among those who abundantly thank You, remember You much, follow Your advice, and always keep Your admonition in mind." © Imam Tirmidhi says: This hadith is gharib (has a single chain of narration).
Hadith 3946
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : أَهْدَى رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي فَزَارَةَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَاقَةً مِنْ إِبِلِهِ الَّتِي كَانُوا أَصَابُوا بِالْغَابَةِ ، فَعَوَّضَهُ مِنْهَا بَعْضَ الْعِوَضِ ، فَتَسَخَّطَهُ ، فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى هَذَا الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ رِجَالًا مِنَ الْعَرَبِ يُهْدِي أَحَدُهُمُ الْهَدِيَّةَ فَأُعَوِّضُهُ مِنْهَا بِقَدْرِ مَا عِنْدِي , ثُمَّ يَتَسَخَّطُهُ , فَيَظَلُّ يَتَسَخَّطُ فِيهِ عَلَيَّ , وَايْمُ اللَّهِ لَا أَقْبَلُ بَعْدَ مَقَامِي هَذَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ هَدِيَّةً إِلَّا مِنْ قُرَشِيٍّ ، أَوْ أَنْصَارِيٍّ ، أَوْ ثَقَفِيٍّ ، أَوْ دَوْسِيٍّ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ وَهُوَ أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ هَارُونَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ .
´Narrated Abu Hurairah:` "A man from Banu Fazarah gave a gift to the Prophet (ﷺ) of she-camel from his camels which they had taken at Al-Ghabah. So he reciprocated for it with something in return, but he was upset with it. So I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), upon [this] Minbar saying: 'Indeed one of the men from the Bedouins gave me a gift so I reciprocated for it to the extent of what I had. Then he became very upset with me. By Allah! After my experience with this Bedouin man, I shall not accept a gift from anyone except from a Quraishi, Ansari, Thaqafi, or Dawsi.'"
Hadith 3956
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ الْفَرْوِيُّ الْمَدَنِيُّ , حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " قَدْ أَذْهَبَ اللَّهُ عَنْكُمْ عُبِّيَّةَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَفَخْرَهَا بِالْآبَاءِ ، مُؤْمِنٌ تَقِيٌّ ، وَفَاجِرٌ شَقِيٌّ ، وَالنَّاسُ بَنُو آدَمَ , وَآدَمُ مِنْ تُرَابٍ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ ، وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ عِنْدَنَا مِنَ الْحَدِيثِ الْأَوَّلِ ، وَسَعِيدٌ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ قَدْ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَيَرْوِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَشْيَاءَ كَثِيرَةً ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، وَقَدْ رَوَى سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ ، وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ ، هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ أَبِي عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ .
Narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah has removed from you the pride of the Age of Ignorance and boasting about ancestors. Now people are either believers and pious or wicked and miserable, and all people are the children of Adam, and Adam was created from dust." © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is Hasan and, in our view, more authentic than the previous narration,
2- Sa'id Maqburi heard from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), and he narrates many things from Abu Hurairah through his father,
3- Sufyan Thawri and several other narrators have narrated this hadith from Hisham bin Sa'd, Hisham from Sa'id Maqburi, and Sa'id Maqburi from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), similar to the hadith of Abu 'Amir which he narrates from Hisham bin Sa'd.
1- This hadith is Hasan and, in our view, more authentic than the previous narration,
2- Sa'id Maqburi heard from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), and he narrates many things from Abu Hurairah through his father,
3- Sufyan Thawri and several other narrators have narrated this hadith from Hisham bin Sa'd, Hisham from Sa'id Maqburi, and Sa'id Maqburi from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), similar to the hadith of Abu 'Amir which he narrates from Hisham bin Sa'd.
