Hadith 466
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : " أَتَانَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَوَضَعْنَا لَهُ مَاءً فَاغْتَسَلَ ، ثُمَّ أَتَيْنَاهُ بِمِلْحَفَةٍ وَرْسِيَّةٍ فَاشْتَمَلَ بِهَا ، فَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى أَثَرِ الْوَرْسِ عَلَى عُكَنِهِ " .
´It was narrated that Qais bin Sa'd said:` "The Prophet came to us and we gave him water to perform a bath." Then we brought him a Warshiyyah cloth, and he wrapped himself in it. It is as if I can see the marks of the Wars on the folds of his stomach."
Hadith 1303
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : مَا كَانَ شَيْءٌ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، إِلَّا وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ إِلَّا شَيْءٌ وَاحِدٌ ، فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَ يُقَلَّسُ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Amir that Qais bin Sa’d said:` “There is nothing that happened during the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) except that I have seen it, except for one thing, which is that Taqlis* was performed for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on the Day of Fitr. (Three other chains of narration) with similar wording. *Taqlis means to indulge in celebrations on a festive occasion.
Hadith 1828
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُخَيْمِرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : " أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِصَدَقَةِ الْفِطْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُنْزَلَ الزَّكَاةُ ، فَلَمَّا نَزَلَتِ الزَّكَاةُ لَمْ يَأْمُرْنَا ، وَلَمْ يَنْهَنَا ، وَنَحْنُ نَفْعَلُهُ " .
´It was narrated that:` Qais bin Sa'ad said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) enjoined Sadaqatul-Fitr upon is before (the command of) Zakat was revealed. He neither ordered us (to pay) nor forbade us (from paying it), so we did it.”
Hadith 3604
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ , عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى , عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ , عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ , قَالَ : " أَتَانَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَوَضَعْنَا لَهُ مَاءً يَتَبَرَّدُ بِهِ فَاغْتَسَلَ , ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُ بِمِلْحَفَةٍ صَفْرَاءَ , فَرَأَيْتُ أَثَرَ الْوَرْسِ عَلَى عُكَنِهِ " .
´It was narrated that Qais bin Sa’d said:` “The Prophet (ﷺ) came to us and we gave him some water with which to cool down. He bathed, then I brought him a yellow blanket, and I saw the traces of Wars (the yellow dye) on the folds of his stomach.”
