Hadith 342
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ عِيَاضٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ عَلَى غَائِطِهِمَا ، يَنْظُرُ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا إِلَى عَوْرَةِ صَاحِبِهِ ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَمْقُتُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Sa`eed al-Khudri that:` The Messenger of Allah said: "No two people should converse while relieving themselves, each of them looking at the private parts of the other, for Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, hates that." (Da'if) Other chains with similar wording.
Hadith 342M
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلْمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْوَرَّاقُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِير ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ ، قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى : وَهُوَ الصَّوَابُ .
‘This chain also narrates this hadith; in it, instead of Hilal bin Iyad, it is Iyad bin Hilal. Muhammad bin Yahya says: This is correct.’
Hadith 342M
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، نَحْوَهُ .
A similar hadith is narrated through this chain as well, but in this chain is Iyad bin Abdullah.
Hadith 1204
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنِي عِيَاضٌ ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ ، فَقَالَ : أَحَدُنَا يُصَلِّي فَلَا يَدْرِي كَمْ صَلَّى ، فَقَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَمْ يَدْرِ كَمْ صَلَّى ، فَلْيَسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ " .
´‘Iyad narrated that he asked Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri:` “One of us prays and he does not know how many (Rak’ah) he has prayed.” He said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘When anyone of you prays and does not know how many he has prayed, let him perform two prostrations while he is sitting.’”
