Hadith 1856
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْلَى الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَنْبَسَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْقُرَشِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عَلَّاقٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَعَشَّوْا وَلَوْ بِكَفٍّ مِنْ حَشَفٍ فَإِنَّ تَرْكَ الْعَشَاءِ مَهْرَمَةٌ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ مُنْكَرٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَعَنْبَسَةُ يُضَعَّفُ فِي الْحَدِيثِ ، وَعَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عَلَّاقٍ مَجْهُولٌ .
Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Eat dinner, even if it is only a handful of poor-quality dates, for leaving dinner is a cause of old age." © Imam Tirmidhi says:

Hadith 2699
حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ بَغْدَادِيٌّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا، عَنْ عَنْبَسَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَاذَانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " السَّلَامُ قَبْلَ الْكَلَامِ " .
´Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The Salam is before talking." With this chain it has been reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Do not invite anyone to the food until the Salam is given."
