Hadith Takhrij«
‘Umair, the freed slave of Abu Al-Lahm (may Allah be pleased with them), says: I participated in the Battle of Khaybar with my masters. They spoke to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about me and informed him that I was a slave. So he ordered, and a sword was hung on my body. I used to drag it (because of my short stature and the sword being large). He ordered that I be given some goods from the spoils of war. I presented before him the incantation and blowing (ruqyah) which I used to perform on the insane. He ordered me to leave some part of it and to remember some part of it. 1
Imam Tirmidhi says: 1- This hadith is Hasan Sahih. 2- In this chapter, there is also a narration from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them). 3- Some people of knowledge act upon this, that a slave does not get a share, but he may be given something as a gift. This is also the saying of Thawri, Shafi’i, Ahmad, and Ishaq bin Rahwayh.
