´Amr bin Maimun said :` "I used to visit Ibn Mas'ud every Thursday afternoon but he never uttered the words: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said.' Then one evening, he said: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,' then he let his head hang down." He said: "I looked at him and saw his shirt was unfastened; his eyes were filled with tears, and his veins were bulging out (with fear). He said:' Or more than that, or less than that, or close to that or something similar.'"

´It was narrated that ‘Amr bin Maimun said:` “We performed Hajj with ‘Umar bin Khattab, and when we wanted to depart from Muzdalifah, he said: ‘The idolators used to say: “May the sun rise over you, O Thabir!* So that we may begin our journey (to Mina),” and they did not depart until the sun had risen.’ So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) differed from them by departing before the sun rose.”

Hadith Takhrij«سنن ابی داود/الصلاة 367 ( 1539 ) ، سنن النسائی/الاستعاذة 2 ( 5445 ) ، ( تحفة الأشراف : 10617 ) ، وقد أخرجہ : مسند احمد ( 1/54 ) ( ضعیف ) » ( اس حدیث پر حکم ضعیف أبی داود میں ہے ، لیکن یہ حدیث صحیح اور ضعیف ابن ماجہ میں آئی ہی نہیں ہے ، اور اسی لئے سنن أبی داود کے دارالمعارف کے نسخہ میں ( 1539 ) ، نمبر پربیاض ہے ، محققین مسند أحمد نے اس کو صحیح کہا ہے : 145 و 388 )
´It was narrated that ‘Abdullah said:` “We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) in a tent, and he said: ‘Will it not please you to be one quarter of the people of Paradise?’ We said: ‘Yes.’ He said: ‘Will it not please you to be one third of the people of Paradise?’ We said: ‘Yes.’ He said: ‘By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, I hope that you will be half of the people of Paradise. For no one will enter Paradise but a Muslim soul, and among the people of polytheism you are like a white hair on the hide of a black bull, or like a black hair on the hide of a red bull.’”
