Hadith 1437
حدثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حدثنا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ الْعُمَرِيِّ ، حدثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ مِنْ أَشَرِّ النَّاسِ ، عَنْدَ اللَّهِ مَنْزِلَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الرَّجُلَ يُفْضِي إِلَى امْرَأَتِهِ وَتُفْضِي إِلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ يَنْشُرُ سِرَّهَا " .
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: The most wicked among the people in the eye of Allah on the Day of Judgment is the man who goes to his wife and she comes to him, and then he divulges her secret.
Hadith 1437
وحدثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، قَالَا : حدثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ مِنْ أَعْظَمِ الْأَمَانَةِ ، عَنْدَ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الرَّجُلَ يُفْضِي إِلَى امْرَأَتِهِ وَتُفْضِي إِلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ يَنْشُرُ سِرَّهَا " ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ : إِنَّ أَعْظَمَ .
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: The most important of the trusts in the sight of Allah on the Day of Judgment is that a man goes to his wife and she goes to him (and the breach of this trust is) that he should divulge her secret. Ibn Numair narrates this hadith with a slight change of wording.
Hadith 1574
حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَيُّمَا أَهْلِ دَارٍ اتَّخَذُوا كَلْبًا ، إِلَّا كَلْبَ مَاشِيَةٍ ، أَوْ كَلْبَ صَائِدٍ ، نَقَصَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِمْ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطَانِ " .
Salim bin'Abdullah reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Whosover amongst the owners of the house keeps a dog other than one meant for watching the herd or for hunting loses two qirat of his deeds every day.
Hadith 2026
حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ يَعْنِي الْفَزَارِيَّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو غَطَفَانَ الْمُرِّيُّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَشْرَبَنَّ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ قَائِمًا فَمَنْ نَسِيَ فَلْيَسْتَقِئْ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: None of you should drink while standing; and if anyone forgets, he must vomit.
Hadith 2426
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَمْزَةَ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ : " إِنْ تَطْعَنُوا فِي إِمَارَتِهِ ، يُرِيدُ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ ، فَقَدْ طَعَنْتُمْ فِي إِمَارَةِ أَبِيهِ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ ، وَايْمُ اللَّهِ إِنْ كَانَ لَخَلِيقًا لَهَا ، وَايْمُ اللَّهِ إِنْ كَانَ لَأَحَبَّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ ، وَايْمُ اللَّهِ إِنَّ هَذَا لَهَا لَخَلِيقٌ ، يُرِيدُ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ ، وَايْمُ اللَّهِ إِنْ كَانَ لَأَحَبَّهُمْ إِلَيَّ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ ، فَأُوصِيكُمْ بِهِ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْ صَالِحِيكُمْ " .
Salim reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said on the pulpit: You object to the command of Usima bin Zaid as you had objected before to the command of his father (Zaid). By Allah, he was most competent for it and, by Allah, he was dearest to me amongst people and, by Allah, the same is the case with Usama bin Zaid. He is most dear to me after him and I advise you to treat him well for he is pious amongst you.
Hadith 2788
وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَطْوِي اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، ثُمَّ يَأْخُذُهُنَّ بِيَدِهِ الْيُمْنَى ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : أَنَا الْمَلِكُ أَيْنَ الْجَبَّارُونَ أَيْنَ الْمُتَكَبِّرُونَ ، ثُمَّ يَطْوِي الْأَرَضِينَ بِشِمَالِهِ ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : أَنَا الْمَلِكُ أَيْنَ الْجَبَّارُونَ أَيْنَ الْمُتَكَبِّرُونَ " .
'Abdullah bin 'Umar reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying: Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, would fold the Heavens on the Day of Judgment and then He would place them on His right hand and say: I am the Lord; where are the haughty and where are the proud (today)? He would fold the' earth (placing it) on the left hand and say: I am the Lord; where are the haughty and where are the proud (today)?
Hadith 2921
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَالِمًا ، يَقُولُ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " تَقْتَتِلُونَ أَنْتُمْ وَيَهُودُ حَتَّى يَقُولَ الْحَجَرُ : يَا مُسْلِمُ هَذَا يَهُودِيٌّ وَرَائِي تَعَالَ فَاقْتُلْهُ " .
'Abdullah bin 'Umar reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: You and the Jews would fight against one another until a stone would say: Muslim, here is a Jew behind me; come and kill him.
