Hadith 4
وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ الْمَسْجِدَ ، وَالْمُغِيرَةُ أَمِيرُ الْكُوفَةِ ، قَال : فَقَالَ الْمُغِيرَةُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ كَذِبًا عَلَيَّ ، لَيْسَ كَكَذِبٍ عَلَى أَحَدٍ ، فَمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا ، فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
Muhammad bin 'Abd Allah ibn Numayr narrated to us, my father narrated to us, Sa’īd bin Ubayd narrated to us, Alī bin Rabī’ah narrated to us, he said: ‘I arrived at the Masjid and al-Mughīrah, the Amīr of al-Kūfah said: ‘I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah upon him, saying, ‘Indeed a lie upon me is not like a lie upon anyone else, for whoever lies upon me intentionally, then he shall take his seat in the Fire’.’
Hadith 4
وحَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ السَّعْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ الأَسدِيُّ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ الْأَسَدِيِّ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ : إِنَّ كَذِبًا عَلَيَّ ، لَيْسَ كَكَذِبٍ عَلَى أَحَدٍ .
’ Alī bin Hujr as-Sa’dī narrated to us, Alī bin Mushir narrated to us, Muhammad bin Qays il-Asadī informed us, on authority of Alī ibn Rabī’at al-Asadī, on authority of al-Mughīrah ibn Shu’bah, on authority of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah upon him a similar narration, however he did not mention the words ‘Indeed a lie upon me is not like a lie upon anyone else’.
Hadith 933
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّائِيِّ ، وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ ، قَالَ : أَوَّلُ مَنْ نِيحَ عَلَيْهِ بِالْكُوفَةِ قَرَظَةُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ ، فَقَالَ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَنْ نِيحَ عَلَيْهِ فَإِنَّهُ يُعَذَّبُ بِمَا نِيحَ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
'Ali bin Rabi'a reported that the first one who was lamented upon in Kufa was Qaraza bin Ka'b. Mughira bin Shu'bah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: He who is lamented upon would be punished because of the lamentation for him on the Day of Judgment.
Hadith 933
وحَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ السَّعْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ الْأَسْدِيُّ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ الْأَسْدِيِّ ، عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ .
A hadith like this has been narrated by Mughira bin Shu'bah from the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) .
Hadith 933
وحَدَّثَنَاه ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ يَعْنِي الْفَزَارِيَّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّائِيُّ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ ، عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ .
This hadith has been narrated from the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) through another chain of transmitters
