Hadith 401
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " يُحِبُّ التَّيَمُّنَ فِي الطُّهُورِ إِذَا تَطَهَّرَ ، وَفِي تَرَجُّلِهِ إِذَا تَرَجَّلَ ، وَفِي انْتِعَالِهِ إِذَا انْتَعَلَ " .
´It was narrated from 'Aishah that:` The Messenger of Allah liked to start on the right when purifying himself, when combing his hair and when putting on his footwear.
Hadith 495
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، وَإِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : " أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ لُحُومِ الإِبِلِ ، وَلَا نَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ " .
´It was narrated that Jabir bin Samurah said:` "The Messenger of Allah commanded us to perform ablution after eating camel meat but not to perform ablution after eating the mutton."
Hadith 1945
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا وَعِنْدَهَا رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : " مَنْ هَذَا ؟ " ، قَالَتْ : هَذَا أَخِي ، قَالَ : " انْظُرُوا مَنْ تُدْخِلْنَ عَلَيْكُنَّ ، فَإِنَّ الرَّضَاعَةَ مِنَ الْمَجَاعَةِ " .
´It was narrated from 'Aishah:` that the Prophet entered upon her and there was a man with her. He said: “Who is this? She said: “This is my brother.” He said: “Look at whom you allow to enter upon you, because the breastfeeding (that makes a person Mahram) is that which satisfies hunger.”
Hadith 2115
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ مُقَرِّنٍ ، عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، قَالَ : " أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِإِبْرَارِ الْمُقْسِمِ " .
´It was narrated that Bara' bin 'Azib said:` 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded us to help fulfill the oath."
Hadith 2955
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْحِجْرِ ، فَقَالَ : " هُوَ مِنْ الْبَيْتِ " ، قُلْتُ : مَا مَنَعَهُمْ أَنْ يُدْخِلُوهُ فِيهِ ؟ ، فَقَالَ : " عَجَزَتْ بِهِمُ النَّفَقَةُ " ، قُلْتُ : فَمَا شَأْنُ بَابِهِ مُرْتَفِعًا ، لَا يُصْعَدُ إِلَيْهِ إِلَّا بِسُلَّمٍ ؟ ، قَالَ : " ذَلِكَ فِعْلُ قَوْمِكِ لِيُدْخِلُوهُ مَنْ شَاءُوا ، وَيَمْنَعُوهُ مَنْ شَاءُوا ، وَلَوْلَا أَنَّ قَوْمَكِ حَدِيثُ عَهْدٍ بِكُفْرٍ ، مَخَافَةَ أَنْ تَنْفِرَ قُلُوبُهُمْ ، لَنَظَرْتُ هَلْ أُغَيِّرُهُ فَأُدْخِلَ فِيهِ مَا انْتَقَصَ مِنْهُ ، وَجَعَلْتُ بَابَهُ بِالْأَرْضِ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:` “I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about the Hijr, and he said: ‘It is part of the House.’ I said: ‘What kept them from incorporating it into it?’ He said: ‘They ran out of funds.’ I said: ‘Why is its door so high up that it can only be reached with a ladder?’* He said: ‘That is what your people did so that they could let in whoever they wanted and keep out whoever they wanted. Were it not that your people have so recently left disbelief behind, and I am afraid that it would bother them, I would have changed it, incorporating what they left out and I would put its door at ground level.”
Hadith 3589
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ , عَنْ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ , عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ , عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ , عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ , قَالَ : نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " عَنِ الدِّيبَاجِ ، وَالْحَرِيرِ ، وَالْإِسْتَبْرَقِ " .
´It was narrated that Bara’ bin ‘Azib said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade brocade, silk, and embroidered brocade.”
