Hadith 311
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الصَّلْتُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ صُهْبَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَا تَغَنَّيْتُ ، وَلَا تَمَنَّيْتُ ، وَلَا مَسِسْتُ ذَكَرِي بِيَمِينِي مُنْذُ بَايَعْتُ بِهَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
´It was narrated that 'Uqbah bin Suhban said:` "I heard 'Uthman bin 'Affan say: 'I never sang a song or told a lie or touched my penis with my right hand after I swore on oath of allegiance to the Messenger of Allah to that effect.'"
Hadith 2637
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ صُهْبَانَ ، عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا قَوَدَ فِي الْمَأْمُومَةِ وَلَا الْجَائِفَةِ وَلَا الْمُنَقِّلَةِ " .
´It was narrated from 'Abbas bin 'Abdul-Muttalib that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “There is no retaliation for a head wound that does not reach the brain, a spear wound that does not penetrate deeply, or a wound that dislocates a bone.”
Hadith 3227
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ صُهْبَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْخَذْفِ ، وَقَالَ : إِنَّهَا لَا تَقْتُلُ الصَّيْدَ ، وَلَا تَنْكِي الْعَدُوَّ ، وَلَكِنَّهَا تَفْقَأُ الْعَيْنَ ، وَتَكْسِرُ السِّنَّ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin Mughaffal said:` “The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade throwing small pebbles and said: ‘They do not kill any game or hurt the enemy, but they can break a tooth or put out an eye.’”
