Hadith 201
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُغِيرَةِ الثَّقَفِيَّ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْرِضُ نَفْسَهُ عَلَى النَّاسِ فِي الْمَوْسِمِ ، فَيَقُولُ : " أَلَا رَجُلٌ يَحْمِلُنِي إِلَى قَوْمِهِ فَإِنَّ قُرَيْشًا قَدْ مَنَعُونِي أَنْ أُبَلِّغَ كَلَامَ رَبِّي " .
´It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said:` The Messenger of Allah used to appear before the people during the Hajj season and say: 'Is there any man who can take me to his people, for the Quraish have prevented me from conveying the speech (i.e. the Message) of my Lord.'"
Hadith 1310
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ أَبِي رَمْلَةَ الشَّامِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ : هَلْ شَهِدْتَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِيدَيْنِ فِي يَوْمٍ ؟ ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : فَكَيْفَ كَانَ يَصْنَعُ ؟ ، قَالَ : " صَلَّى الْعِيدَ ، ثُمَّ رَخَّصَ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " مَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ فَلْيُصَلِّ " .
´It was narrated that Iyas bin Abi Ramlah Ash-Shami said:` “I heard a man asking Zaid bin Arqam: ‘Were you present with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) when there were two ‘Eid on one day?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ He said: ‘What did he do?’ He said: ‘He prayed the ‘Eid prayer, then he granted a concession not to pray the Friday, then he said: “Whoever wants to pray (Friday), let him do so.”’”
Hadith 1395
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَنَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ ، وَسُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ الثَّقَفِيِّ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ الْوَالِبِيِّ ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ الْفَزَارِيِّ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ إِذَا سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدِيثًا يَنْفَعُنِي اللَّهُ بِمَا شَاءَ مِنْهُ ، وَإِذَا حَدَّثَنِي عَنْهُ غَيْرُهُ اسْتَحْلَفْتُهُ ، فَإِذَا حَلَفَ صَدَّقْتُهُ ، وَإِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ حَدَّثَنِي ، وَصَدَقَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ يُذْنِبُ ذَنْبًا ، فَيَتَوَضَّأُ فَيُحْسِنُ الْوُضُوءَ ، ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، وَقَالَ مِسْعَرٌ : ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي ، وَيَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ ، إِلَّا غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Ali bin Abu Talib said:` “If I heard a Hadith from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), Allah benefitted me with it as much as He willed, and if I heard it from anyone else, I would ask him to swear me an oath, then if he swore an oath I would believe him. Abu Bakr told me and Abu Bakr spoke the truth that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘There is no man who commits a sin then he performs ablution and does it well, then he prays two Rak’ah,’ (one of the narrators) Mis’ar said: ‘then performs prayer and seeks the forgiveness of Allah, but Allah will forgive him.’
Hadith 1801
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ الثَّقَفِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي لَيْلَى الْكِنْدِيِّ ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ ، قَالَ : " جَاءَنَا مُصَدِّقُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخَذْتُ بِيَدِهِ ، وَقَرَأْتُ فِي عَهْدِهِ ، لَا يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ مُتَفَرِّقٍ ، وَلَا يُفَرَّقُ بَيْنَ مُجْتَمِعٍ خَشْيَةَ الصَّدَقَةِ ، فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ بِنَاقَةٍ عَظِيمَةٍ مُلَمْلَمَةٍ فَأَبَى أَنْ يَأْخُذَهَا ، فَأَتَاهُ بِأُخْرَى دُونَهَا فَأَخَذَهَا ، وَقَالَ : أَيُّ أَرْضٍ تُقِلُّنِي ، وَأَيُّ سَمَاءٍ تُظِلُّنِي ، إِذَا أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ أَخَذْتُ خِيَارَ إِبِلِ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ " .
´It was narrated that:` Suwaid bin Ghafalah said: ”The Zakah collector of the Prophet came to us, and I took him by the hand and read in his order: 'Do not gather separate herds and do not separate herd for fear of Sadaqah'. A man brought him a huge, fat she-camel, but he refused to accept it. So he brought him another of lower quality and he accepted it. He said: 'What land would shelter me, if I came to the Messenger of Allah having taken the nest of a Muslim man's camels?' ”
Hadith 3606
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ , وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ الْوَاسِطِيَّانِ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ , أَنْبَأَنَا شَرِيكٌ , عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ , عَنْ مُهَاجِرٍ , عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ لَبِسَ ثَوْبَ شُهْرَةٍ , أَلْبَسَهُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ثَوْبَ مَذَلَّةٍ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Whoever wears a garment of pride and vanity, Allah will clothe him, on the Day of Resurrection, in a garment of humiliation.’”
Hadith 3607
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّوَارِبِ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ , عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ , عَنْ الْمُهَاجِرِ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ : " مَنْ لَبِسَ ثَوْبَ شُهْرَةٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا , أَلْبَسَهُ اللَّهُ ثَوْبَ مَذَلَّةٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ , ثُمَّ أَلْهَبَ فِيهِ نَارًا " .
´It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Whoever wears a garment of pride and vanity in this world, Allah will clothe him in a garment of humiliation on the Day of Resurrection, then set it ablaze.’”
