Hadith 1586
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ الْأَوْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعُمَيْسِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا صَخْرَةَ يَذْكُرُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، وأبى بردة ، قَالَا : لَمَّا ثَقُلَ أَبُو مُوسَى ، أَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ أُمُّ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ تَصِيحُ بِرَنَّةٍ فَأَفَاقَ ، فَقَالَ لَهَا : أَوَ مَا عَلِمْتِ أَنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِمَّنْ بَرِئَ مِنْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَكَانَ يُحَدِّثُهَا ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَنَا بَرِيءٌ مِمَّنْ حَلَقَ ، وَسَلَقَ ، وَخَرَقَ " .
´‘Abdur-Rahman bin Yazid and Abu Burdah said:` “When Abu Musa fell sick, his wife Umm ‘Abdullah started to wail loudly. He woke up and said to her: ‘Do you not know that I am innocent of those whom the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) declared innocence of?’ And he told her that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘I am innocent of those who shave their heads, raise their voices and tear their garments (at times of calamity).’”
Hadith 2803
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعُمَيْسِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَبْرِ بْنِ عَتِيكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، أَنَّهُ مَرِضَ فَأَتَاهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعُودُهُ ، فَقَالَ قَائِلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ : إِنْ كُنَّا لَنَرْجُو أَنْ تَكُونَ وَفَاتُهُ قَتْلَ شَهَادَةٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ شُهَدَاءَ أُمَّتِي إِذًا لَقَلِيلٌ ، الْقَتْلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ شَهَادَةٌ ، وَالْمَطْعُونُ شَهَادَةٌ ، وَالْمَرْأَةُ تَمُوتُ بِجُمْعٍ شَهَادَةٌ يَعْنِي الْحَامِلَ ، وَالْغَرِقُ ، وَالْحَرِقُ ، وَالْمَجْنُوبُ يَعْنِي ذَاتَ الْجَنْبِ شَهَادَةٌ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abdullah bin Jabir bin ‘Atik, from his father, that his grandfather fell sick and the Prophet (ﷺ) came to visit him. One of his family members said:` “We hoped that when he died it would be as a martyr in the cause of Allah.” The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “In that case the martyrs of my nation would be few. Being killed in the cause of Allah is martyrdom; dying of the plague is martyrdom; when a pregnant woman dies in childbirth that is martyrdom; and dying of drowning, or burning, or of pleurisy, is martyrdom.”
Hadith 2836
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعُمَيْسِ وَعِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : " بَارَزْتُ رَجُلًا فَقَتَلْتُهُ ، فَنَفَّلَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَلَبَهُ " .
´It was narrated from Iyas bin Salamah bin Akwa’ that his father said:` “I fought a man and killed him, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) awarded me his spoils.”
