Hadith 17
´It was narrated from Sa'eed bin Jubair that :` Abdullah bin Mughaffal was sitting beside a nephew of his, the nephew hurled a pebble and he told him not to do that, and he said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had forbidden that. He (the Prophet) said: 'It cannot be used for hunting and it cannot harm an enemy, but it may break a tooth or put an eye out." He said." His nephew hurled another pebble and he ("Abdullah bin Mughaffal) said: 'I tell you that the Messenger of Allah forbade that (and you go hurl another pebble)? I will never speak to you again.'"
Hadith 45
حَدَّثَنَا
سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ،
وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ ، عَنْ
جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ
جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا خَطَبَ ، احْمَرَّتْ عَيْنَاهُ ، وَعَلَا صَوْتُهُ ، وَاشْتَدَّ غَضَبُهُ ، كَأَنَّهُ مُنْذِرُ جَيْشٍ ، يَقُولُ : " صَبَّحَكُمْ مَسَّاكُمْ " ، وَيَقُولُ : " بُعِثْتُ أَنَا وَالسَّاعَةَ كَهَاتَيْنِ ، وَيَقْرِنُ بَيْنَ إِصْبَعَيْهِ السَّبَّابَةِ وَالْوُسْطَى " ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : " أَمَّا بَعْدُ فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الْأُمُورِ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ ، وَخَيْرُ الْهَدْيِ هَدْيُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَشَرَّ الْأُمُورِ مُحْدَثَاتُهَا ، وَكُلُّ بِدْعَةٍ ضَلَالَةٌ " ، وَكَانَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ تَرَكَ مَالًا فَلِأَهْلِهِ ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَ دَيْنًا ، أَوْ ضَيَاعًا فَعَلَيَّ وَإِلَيَّ " .
´It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said:` "When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) delivered a sermon, his eyes would turn red, he would raise his voice and he would speak with intensity, as if he were warning of an (enemy) army, saying, 'They will surely attack you in the morning, or they will surely attack you in the evening!' He would say: 'I and the Hour have been sent like these two,' and he would hold his index and middle finger. Then he would say: 'The best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad. The most evil matters are those that are newly-invented, and every innovation (Bid'ah) is a going astray.' And he used to say: 'Whoever dies and leaves behind some wealth, it is for his family, and whoever leaves behind a debt or dependent children, then they are both my responsibility.'"
Hadith 47
´It was narrated that 'Aishah said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) recited the following Verse: 'It is He Who has sent down to you (Muhammad) the Book (this Qur'an). In it are verses that are entirely clear, they are the foundations of the Book; and others not entirely clear (up to His saying: ) 'And none receive admonition except men of understanding.' Then he said: 'O 'Aishah, if you see those who dispute concerning it (the Qur'an), they are those whom Allah has referred to here, so beware of them.'"
Hadith 154

عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا
خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ
أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ ّرَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَرْحَمُ أُمَّتِي بِأُمَّتِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، وَأَشَدُّهُمْ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ عُمَرُ ، وَأَصْدَقُهُمْ حَيَاءً عُثْمَانُ ، وَأَقْضَاهُمْ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، وَأَقْرَؤُهُمْ لِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ ، وَأَعْلَمُهُمْ بِالْحَلَالِ وَالْحَرَامِ مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ ، وَأَفْرَضُهُمْ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ، أَلَا وَإِنَّ لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَمِينًا ، وَأَمِينُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ " ،
´It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that:` The Messenger of Allah said: The most merciful of my Ummah towards my Ummah is Abu Bakr; the one who adheres most sternly to the religion of Allah is 'Umar; the most sincere of them in shyness and modesty is 'Uthman; the best judge is 'Ali bin Abu Talib; the best in reciting the Book of Allah is Ubayy bin Ka'b; the most knowledgeable of what is lawful and unlawful is Mu'adh bin Jabal; and the most knowledgeable of the rules of inheritance (Fara'id) is Zaid bin Thabit. And every nation has a trustworthy guardian, and the trustworthy guardian of this Ummah is Abu 'Ubaidah bin Jarrah."
Hadith 166
´It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:` "The Messenger of Allah embraced me and said: 'O Allah, teach him wisdom and the (correct) interpretation of the Book.'"
Hadith 556
´It was narrated from 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakrah, from his father, that:` The Prophet granted a concession to travelers: "If a traveler performed ablution and put on leather socks, then he performed a fresh ablution, he could wipe over the leather socks for three days and nights; the resident could do so for one day and one night."
Hadith 681
´It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Wait for it to cool down before you pray the Zuhr.'"
Hadith 701
´It was narrated that Abu Barzah Al-Aslami said:` "The Messenger of Allah used to like to delay the 'Isha', and he disliked sleeping before it, and engaging in conversation after it."
Hadith 866
It was narrated from Anas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to raise his hands when he entered prayer, and when he bowed in Ruku’.
Hadith 977
´It was narrated that Anas said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) liked the Muhajirun and Ansar to stand closest to him, so that they could learn from him.”
Hadith 1184
´It was narrated that Muhammad said:` “I asked Anas bin Malik about Qunut, and he said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) recited Qunut after Ruku’.’”
Hadith 1215
´It was narrated that ‘Imran bin Husain said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said the Salam after three Rak’ah for ‘Asr, then he stood up and went into the apartment. Khirbaq, a man with big hands, stood up and called out: ‘O Messenger of Allah! Has the prayer been shortened?’ He came out angrily, dragging his lower garment, and asked about it, and was told (what had happened). So he performed the Rak’ah that he had omitted, then he said the Salam, then he prostrated twice and said the Salam again.”
Hadith 1262
´It was narrated that Nu’man bin Bashir said:` “The sun was eclipsed at the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and he came out alarmed, dragging his lower garment, until he reached the mosque. He continued to perform prayer until the eclipse was over, then he said: ‘Some people claim that the sun and moon only become eclipsed because of the death of a great leader. That is not so. The sun and the moon do not become eclipsed for the death or birth of anyone. When Allah manifests Himself to anything in His creation, it humbles itself before Him.’”
Hadith 1334
´It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin Salam said:` “When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to Al-Madinah, the people rushed towards him and it was said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has come!’ I came along with the people to see him, and when I looked at the face of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), I realized that his face was not the face of a liar. The first thing he said was: “O people, spread (the greeting of) Salam, offer food to people and pray at night when people are sleeping, you will enter Paradise in peace.”
Hadith 1458
حَدَّثَنَا
أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ ، عَنْ
أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ
مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ
أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ ، قَالَتْ : دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَنَحْنُ نُغَسِّلُ ابْنَتَهُ أُمَّ كُلْثُومٍ ، فَقَالَ : " اغْسِلْنَهَا ثَلَاثًا أَوْ خَمْسًا أَوْ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ ، إِنْ رَأَيْتُنَّ ذَلِكَ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ ، وَاجْعَلْنَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ كَافُورًا أَوْ شَيْئًا مِنْ كَافُورٍ ، فَإِذَا فَرَغْتُنَّ فَآذِنَّنِي " ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغْنَا آذَنَّاهُ ، " فَأَلْقَى إِلَيْنَا حَقْوَهُ ، وَقَالَ : أَشْعِرْنَهَا إِيَّاهُ " .
´Muhammad bin Sirin narrated that Umm ‘Atiyyah said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) entered upon us when we were washing his daughter Umm Kulthum. He said: ‘Wash her three or five times, or more than that if you think you need to, with water and lote leaves, and put camphor or a little camphor in (the water) for the last washing. When you have finished, call for me.’ When we finished, we called him, and he gave his waist-wrapper to us and said: ‘Shroud her with it.’”
Hadith 1459
´It was narrated from Ayyub who said:` “Hafsah narrated to me, from Umm ‘Atiyyah” and it is similar to the Hadith of Muhammad. And in the narration of Hafsah it says: “Wash her an odd number of times.” And: “Wash her face three or five times.” And “Start on her right, with the places washed in ablution.” And it says that Umm ‘Atiyyah said: “And we combed her hair into three braids.”
Hadith 2075

وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلَّادٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا
خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ ، عَنْ
عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ
ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ زَوْجُ بَرِيرَةَ عَبْدًا ، يُقَالُ لَهُ : مُغِيثٌ ، كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ يَطُوفُ خَلْفَهَا وَيَبْكِي وَدُمُوعُهُ تَسِيلُ عَلَى خَدِّهِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْعَبَّاسِ : " يَا عَبَّاسُ أَلَا تَعْجَبُ مِنْ حُبِّ مُغِيثٍ بَرِيرَةَ وَمِنْ بُغْضِ بَرِيرَةَ مُغِيثًا ، فَقَالَ لَهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْ رَاجَعْتِيهِ ، فَإِنَّهُ أَبُو وَلَدِكِ " ، قَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، تَأْمُرُنِي ، قَالَ : " إِنَّمَا أَشْفَعُ " ، قَالَتْ : لَا حَاجَةَ لِي فِيهِ .
´It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:` "The husband of Barirah was a slave called Mughith. It is as if I can see him now, walking behind her and weeping, with tears running down his cheeks. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to 'Abbas: 'O Abbas, are you not amazed by the love of Mughith for Barirah, and the hatred of Barirah for Mughith?' And the Prophet said to her: Why don’t you take him back, for he is the father of your child?' She said: 'O Messenger of Allah, are you commanding me (to do so)?' He said: 'No, rather I am interceding.' She said: 'I have no need of him.' "
Hadith 2369
´It was narrated from Jabir that:` the Prophet (ﷺ) passed judgement on the basis of an oath (from the claimant) along with a (single) witness.
Hadith 2463
´It was narrated from Tawus that :` Mu`adh bin Jabl leased some land during the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), Abu Bakr, 'Umar and 'Uthmah, in return for one third or one fourth (of the yield), and he was still doing that until this day of yours.
Hadith 2505
´It was narrated from 'Iyad bin Himar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Whoever finds lost property, let him ask one or two men of good character to witness it, then he should not alter it nor conceal it. If its owner comes along, then he has more right to it, otherwise it belongs to Allah (SWT), Who gives it to whomsoever He wills.”
Hadith 2578

نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا
حُمَيْدٌ ، عَنْ
أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ أُنَاسًا مِنْ عُرَيْنَةَ قَدِمُوا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَاجْتَوَوْا الْمَدِينَةَ فَقَالَ : " لَوْ خَرَجْتُمْ إِلَى ذَوْدٍ لَنَا ، فَشَرِبْتُمْ مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا وَأَبْوَالِهَا " ، فَفَعَلُوا فَارْتَدُّوا عَنِ الْإِسْلَامِ ، وَقَتَلُوا رَاعِيَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَاسْتَاقُوا ذَوْدَهُ ، فَبَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ فِي طَلَبِهِمْ ، فَجِيءَ بِهِمْ ، فَقَطَعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَرَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ وَتَرَكَهُمْ بِالْحَرَّةِ حَتَّى مَاتُوا " .
´Anas bin Malik narrated that :` some people from (the tribe of) `Urainah came to us (to Al-Madinah) during the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), but they did not want to stay in Al-Madinah because the climate did not suit them. He said: “Go out to the camels which belong to us, and drink their milk and urine.” So they did that (and recovered), then they apostatized from Islam and killed the herdsman of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and stole his camels. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent people after them, and they were brought back. Then he cut off their hands and feet, branded their eyes and left them in Harrah until they died.
Hadith 2603
´It was narrated from Ubadah bin Samit that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Whoever among you undergoes a Hadd, his punishment has been brought forward, and it is an expiation for him otherwise his case rests with Allah.”
Hadith 2757
´It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Going out in the morning in the cause of Allah, or in the evening, is better than the world and what is in it.”
Hadith 2969
´It was narrated from Anas that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “Labbaika bi-‘Umratin wa hajjatin [Here I am (O Allah), for ‘Umrah and Hajj].”
Hadith 3170
´It was narrated from Shaddad bin Aws that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Allah has prescribed Al-Ihsan (proficiency) in all things. So if you kill, then kill well, and if you slaughter, then slaughter well. Let one of you sharpen his blade and spare suffering to the animal he slaughters.”
Hadith 3503
حَدَّثَنَا
نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ , حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ , حَدَّثَنَا
حُمَيْدٌ , عَنْ
أَنَسٍ , أَنَّ نَاسًا مِنْ عُرَيْنَةَ قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاجْتَوَوْا الْمَدِينَةَ ، فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْ خَرَجْتُمْ إِلَى ذَوْدٍ لَنَا , فَشَرِبْتُمْ مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا وَأَبْوَالِهَا " فَفَعَلُوا.
´It was narrated from Anas that some people from ‘Urainah came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) but they were averse to the climate of Al- Madinah. He (ﷺ) said:` “Why don’t you go out to a flock of camels of ours, and drink their milk and urine.” And they did that.
Hadith 3737
حَدَّثَنَا
أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ , عَنْ
حُمَيْدٍ , عَنْ
أَنَسٍ , قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْبَقِيعِ , فَنَادَى رَجُلٌ رَجُلًا يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ , فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ : إِنِّي لَمْ أَعْنِكَ , فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَسَمَّوْا بِاسْمِي , وَلَا تَكَنَّوْا بِكُنْيَتِي " .
´It was narrated that Anas said:` "The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) was in Baqi', and a man called out to another man: 'O Abul-Qasim!' The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) turned to him, and he said: 'I didn't mean you.' The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said: 'Call yourselves by my name but do not call yourselves by my Kunyah.'"
Hadith 4027
حَدَّثَنَا
نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ ,
وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ , حَدَّثَنَا
حُمَيْدٌ , عَنْ
أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ , قَالَ : لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ أُحُدٍ كُسِرَتْ رَبَاعِيَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَشُجَّ , فَجَعَلَ الدَّمُ يَسِيلُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ , وَجَعَلَ يَمْسَحُ الدَّمَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ , وَيَقُولُ : " كَيْفَ يُفْلِحُ قَوْمٌ خَضَبُوا وَجْهَ نَبِيِّهِمْ بِالدَّمِ , وَهُوَ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى اللَّهِ , فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ سورة آل عمران آية 128 " .
´It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:` On the Day of Uhud, a molar of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was broken and he was wounded. Blood started pouring down his face, and he started to wipe his face and say: “How can any people prosper if they soak the face of their Prophet with blood when he is calling them to Allah?” Then Allah revealed: “Not for you is the decision.”[3:128]
